Chapter 1 - When Miracles Call

In the quaint town of Eldridge, where the sun painted the sky in hues of gold and lavender each dawn, lived a man named Felix Marlowe. Felix was an ordinary man, a librarian by trade, who spent his days surrounded by the whispers of stories long forgotten. Yet, as he shelved books and assisted patrons, a gnawing emptiness settled in his heart. He watched as others experienced miracles—unexpected reunions, sudden fortunes, and serendipitous encounters—while he felt like a spectator in a world bursting with wonder.

One evening, after closing the library, Felix wandered through the town square, where the laughter of children and the aroma of freshly baked bread filled the air. He paused at a fountain, its waters shimmering under the twilight. "Why not me?" he whispered to the stars, his voice barely a breath against the night. "Where are my miracles?"

That night, Felix made a decision. He would seek out God, the entity believed to be responsible for the miracles that danced around him. He had heard tales of a hidden sanctuary, a place where the divine could be reached. With a heart full of hope and a mind clouded with doubt, he set off on a journey that would change his life forever.
