The next morning,
Kenny was getting ready to leave for the military camp for her studies.
Just as she was about to leave, Kin Ouren stopped her.
> "I want to come with you," he said.
"I'll get bored sitting at home.
It's better if I go see the area with you — that way I can look around and not feel so restless."
Hearing this, Kenny smiled and agreed.
> "Alright then, let's go."
---
At the military camp, Vixen Sature was sitting with his fellow officers,
chatting casually and waiting for the village children to arrive.
Around the same time, Kenny arrived with a few of her village friends.
Kin Ouren walked behind them —
taking photos with his camera, admiring the peaceful surroundings of the village.
Suddenly, Kin Ouren caught the scent of a pheromone in the air.
It was strong. Familiar.
And it stirred something deep inside him.
His heart began to race.
His eyes widened.
> "Banja… he's here… he's close…" Kin whispered to himself,
his pulse quickening with every step.
Excitement bubbled up inside him —
the excitement of meeting his husband from a past life.
He was so close.
---
Just then, Kenny called out from ahead:
> "Brother, we're almost at the military camp.
Are you coming inside with us?"
But Kin Ouren didn't reply.
He was already distracted — following the trail of the scent,
his feet moving on their own.
The pheromone was leading him straight to the source.
That's when it happened.
He turned a corner — and bumped right into someone.
The collision made them both stumble slightly.
It was Vixen Sature.
For a moment, everything stilled.
They looked into each other's eyes, and without realizing, both spoke at the same time:
> "Sorry."
