Part1
Morning came. Han Yue sat up from her bed, surrounded by soft warmth and fluff. Her little babies were cuddled all around her—the baby bunny, her two kittens, and little Snowball snoozing peacefully against her pillow.
As sunlight filtered through the curtains, she found herself staring blankly at the ceiling, remembering the message Secretary Wen had sent her the night before.
It was about training.
She sighed deeply, then—without hesitation—slapped her cheeks lightly but firmly, enough to sting. Her expression sharpened as she whispered to herself with new resolve:
"I've been too distracted lately. Ever since I was reborn, I focused too much on petty revenge against Jiaojiao and my family... and on hoarding supplies. I kept delaying the most important thing—getting stronger.I became too complacent just because Long Yi is here, supporting and indulging me.But I can't let that continue. I must grow stronger—with him, with his team... our team.We must all grow together."
With her cheek still faintly red from her slap, she closed her eyes briefly, then opened them again—this time filled with renewed determination.
"No more distractions. It's time to train—physically and supernaturally. The world is changing. The higher-ups are moving. Citizens are preparing. And now... so will I.I won't repeat the same mistakes again—being powerless, being saved, being manipulated, being trash. Never again."
She stood up, entered the restroom, and took a cold, invigorating shower. Afterward, she put on a plain white shirt and joggers—her casual training outfit—then headed downstairs.
While eating her breakfast, she typed out a message to Secretary Wen:
"It's time for me to get serious. If you have a recommended trainer or program, please send it.I will focus on both physical strength and supernatural powers.I'll provide a few bottles of spiritual spring water—ask Long Yi how to allocate them.I don't need to stay in this mansion anymore.I'll be serious from today onward."
After sending the message, she finished her meal calmly. Her little babies had already been tucked safely inside her space, along with her personal items from the room. She was ready.
Meanwhile, in the Long Base Headquarters—
Secretary Wen received her message and paused. For a moment, he was speechless. He hadn't expected Han Yue to respond so seriously to the mandatory training notice.
Without delay, he headed toward Long Yi's office.
After knocking and entering, he found Long Yi buried in paperwork—signing documents, reading proposals, reviewing progress reports. Secretary Wen stood silently nearby, waiting patiently.
A few minutes later, Long Yi placed down his pen and glanced at him. "Speak."
Secretary Wen gave a slight nod. "Young Master. Yesterday, I sent Miss Han Yue the mandatory workout and training schedule. This morning, she sent a serious reply—she said she no longer needs to stay in the mansion. She wishes to focus completely on her physical and superpower training."
He paused before continuing, "Personally, I think this is a good change. She must be able to withstand what's coming and protect herself. I plan to assign someone to escort her to the Shadow Guard Training Grounds."
He added, "She also offered to provide more spiritual spring water and said to let you allocate it."
Long Yi sat silently, tapping his fingers on the table.
"I could protect her..." he thought. "But I can't keep her in a cage. She wouldn't want that."
After a pause, he gave a nod. "Alright. Send her to the Shadow Guard Training Site. The other awakened youth are training there too. Also—treat her the same as the others. No special treatment."
"Understood," Secretary Wen said, bowing before he turned to leave and make the arrangements.
One hour later, an envoy from the base arrived at Han Yue's doorstep.
"We're here to escort you to the Shadow Guard Training Site," the man said. "Starting today, you'll be living and training there. You'll be given a strict schedule. No exceptions."
He handed her a sealed document.
"No phones, no communication—there's a signal jammer at the site. You are not permitted to disclose the location. This is a military-level training ground."
"You'll have your own dorm, three meals a day, and lessons starting as early as 5 AM. Training ends at 10 PM, seven days a week. No weekends off. No visitors. No special treatment."
Han Yue nodded seriously, her expression firm.
"This is what I need most right now," she thought. "No distractions. No shortcuts.Just training. Let's go."
Part 2
After three hours of driving, Han Yue finally reached the Shadow Guard Training Grounds. Upon arrival, she was amazed by how well-hidden the location was — the entrance was concealed inside a mountain cave. After entering a long tunnel, it opened up into a massive underground space, as large as a stadium — easily three times the size of a football field.
The interior was divided into specialized training zones: obstacle courses, a weight training area, gym, shooting range, combat zones, and more.
Her first stop was the Medical Facility, where she underwent a full-body check-up and registration. She filled out basic information: name, age, skills, and superpowers. A female doctor conducted her tests and verified her vitals. After about an hour, Han Yue was sent to the Awakeners' Room — where other trainee children stayed.
Most of the kids were between 10 and 15 years old. Han Yue, at 16, was the oldest.
She quietly took a seat near the back, waiting for the instructor to arrive. The younger trainees became curious about her — especially since new arrivals were rare. One bold kid came up and asked how she got recruited.
Han Yue replied calmly, "I was out on missions, so my training was delayed. I only just returned yesterday." She also shared her supernatural powers: Ice and Perception.
The older kids gasped — dual superpowers?! That was rare, unheard of among them. All the other trainees had singular powers. Their amazement quickly turned the room lively. The others started introducing themselves, sharing how they awakened and what abilities they had.
Soon after, Shadow 3 entered the room. His eyes locked on Han Yue briefly before heading to his desk. With his usual quiet tone, he introduced her:"This is Han Yue. She will join your physical and supernatural training starting today. Her powers are Ice and Perception. She's sixteen."
He handed Han Yue a schedule. Unlike the others, hers was customized — no academic classes, only physical and power-based training, as requested previously.
He continued, "In one week, you'll spar against trained guards in both armed and unarmed combat. You'll have to defend yourselves and use your powers tactically. Winners will be rewarded. Losers will receive additional training."
Then, he led them all to the training field. Everyone was handed a weighted backpack — 50kg for the children. Han Yue, however, was given 100kg.
"Depending on your adaptability and daily results, you'll be promoted through the ranks. You're awakeners, not ordinary trainees — don't forget that," Shadow 3 said firmly.
He blew his whistle. "Ten laps around the field. Go!"
Han Yue gritted her teeth and started running. Thankfully, the Spiritual Spring Water she had been drinking had strengthened her physique. She wasn't the same as she used to be. After several laps, she began to feel the strain, but she pushed through. She couldn't afford to slow down — she had to grow stronger, fast.
She finished all ten laps with the 100kg backpack. The other children were still on their sixth or seventh laps, clearly accustomed to the training.
Shadow 3 approached her. "How do you feel?"
Han Yue, drenched in sweat, simply replied, "A little tired."
He made a note in his records. "Weights will be increased tomorrow. Rest for 20 minutes."
After a short rest, Shadow 2 escorted her to the Energy Force Weight Training Room. She was instructed to lift 100kg within a level 5 force field — the kind that added resistance through pressure and gravity simulation. She had to maintain the lift for 30 minutes, then switch to squats while holding the weight.
At first, it seemed manageable. But after ten minutes, the force started burning through her body, muscles straining under unnatural resistance. Still, she endured it. After a 5-minute break, she was told to squat with the same weight — her knees began to shake, sweat pouring from her temples. But she didn't stop.
Once done, she exited the force room, where Shadow 3 asked again, "Your condition?"
"It burns, but I can endure it," Han Yue answered.
He noted her progress. "Lunch break. Cafeteria. After that — supernatural power classes."
She nodded and wiped her sweat, following him to the cafeteria.
There, she grabbed a large portion — her energy had been completely drained. While she ate, Shadow 8 sat down across from her, grinning from ear to ear like he had found a long-lost best friend.
He dug into his food while staring at her like an excited puppy. Han Yue raised an eyebrow but kept eating.
Finally, Shadow 8 couldn't hold it in anymore:"Please tell me all the gossip from the past! I've been dying not to bother you since we were both so busy! But now we're finally here in the same place! This place is sooo boring — no internet! I had to sneak to the city just to get a signal to check my phone! Also — that alien wizard costume? Legendary. Did you even buy me a souvenir? And that Emperor Throne — I want to sit on it! I've been dreaming about that thing!"
He kept rambling while the other Shadow Guards discreetly listened in with curious expressions.
Han Yue, chewing calmly, glanced at him like she was watching a clown show. Still, she looked mildly amused.
Shadow 3 came and sat beside them. After taking a sip of water, he muttered,"You have so much energy. The Boss summoned us to the Base tonight. Be ready."
Shadow 8's eyes lit up. "Yes! I can finally use the internet again!"
Then he turned to Han Yue with sparkly eyes, gesturing for her to answer his questions.
Han Yue swallowed a spoonful and said, "I'll give you some souvenirs later. Will five boxes fit in your room? As for the Emperor Throne... it's big and heavy. Where would we even put it?"
Shadow 8 beamed. "Just toss five boxes in my room! And let's put the Throne in the Boss's office! He's barely here anyway. He's always at the base — probably because they have Wi-Fi there!"
He chuckled gleefully, already fantasizing.
Shadow 3, who had been listening silently, thought to himself:
"I also want to try sitting on that throne... maybe I'll visit the Boss's office later."
The other guards continued eavesdropping with awe. They all knew exactly which throne it was — the infamous one owned by the 2nd Master Long Jin himself.
After lunch, Han Yue and the other trainees were brought to the Supernatural Power Field, an open space with metal targets, blocks, and practice dummies.
Shadow 8 tagged along — after all, he was a team leader and technically free to roam.
Han Yue was asked to demonstrate her strongest attack.
She stepped forward, summoning her Ice power. It took two minutes to form — a large, glowing ice pick floating midair. The younger kids watched in awe, their eyes sparkling.
"Whoa! Mine looks like a toothpick... but hers is like a baseball bat!"
The air grew cold, frost spreading across the field. Even Shadow 8's eyelashes frosted over.
When the pick shot out — BOOM! — it slammed into the iron block, deforming the metal, encasing the area in jagged ice. Everyone clapped.
Shadow 3 asked, "Condition?"
"Normal."
"Again. Ten more times."
She nodded and fired the same blast ten times in succession.
Again: "Condition?"
"Normal."
Shadow 3 wrote furiously in his notes. She was exceeding expectations.
Next: moving targets. She was instructed to shoot small moving targets, which she hit easily. The kids trained in their own sections while Han Yue progressed rapidly.
Shadow 8 stood at the sidelines, still watching like an excited fanboy.
"Once I awaken, I'm gonna train with Yueyue every day!"
Two hours passed — Han Yue was still steady, not even sweating, thanks to her cold aura.
Next up was Agility & Speed Training.
She stood in a ring of auto-projectors. Tennis balls were fired from all directions, increasing from Level 1 to Level 10. She dodged or shattered them with precision ice picks.
Then came stones, then knives, then swords, even electric bolts.
At Level 10, she released a mist — freezing all incoming objects midair, dropping them harmlessly to the ground.
Shadow 3, silent but impressed, wrote down every result.
"You'll rest for 20 minutes," he finally said. "Then repeat everything: jogging, weight training, power training, agility drills. Tomorrow, I'll prepare an advanced program."
Han Yue nodded and returned to the track. Weighted backpack on her back, she resumed running.
Of course, Shadow 8 joined her.
He kept chatting, asking if she really drew turtles on 2nd Master Long Jin's Face. Han Yue laughed quietly as she ran.
This… feels like déjà vu. Like the past life — dodging mutated beasts and danger — with Shadow 8 by her side, chattering away.
She smiled as she continued her laps, feeling stronger, more grounded… and ready.
