Chapter 1 - Prologue

-MC's internal monologue-

After a 3-hour-long class, I'm returning to my living quarters.

Since I didn't have any breakfast today, I'm really hungry. Rushing through the crowd, I finally reached the crossing.

The coaching center isn't that far from my hostel, so I travel on foot. I only needed to cross a major two-way street, and I'll reach it.

As confident as ever, I started crossing the road. After seeing so many brutal accidents online, I only started crossing after carefully observing the vehicles passing by. Since I do it every day, I'm fairly confident that no accidents should happen.

As I crossed the first half, I suddenly heard a loud sound of someone speaking in some incomprehensible language. It made my head hurt like my brain was being melted by intense vibration. But soon the pain and the sound went away.

As the headache subsided, all I could see was an old rusty bus speeding towards me. Everything slowed down, or maybe it was just my brain trying to think of a way out of this situation, but before I could even think of dodging, it hit me. I didn't feel any impact or pain for a few seconds, but then it came.

PAIN. Unimaginable pain.

My vision was blurry, but I could still see that my hand was crushed and bones were sticking out. But worse than that, I couldn't see or feel my legs. There was nothing but blood and intestines below my chest. I couldn't breathe, but I could think. I knew that my time had come. So I said my prayers and slowly went to sleep, from which I'll never wake up.

Or so I thought.

POV

All I can see is darkness. No color but black. No sense of direction. Nothing to stand on. But slowly, I can feel things. Things I can't understand.

I died. And yet… I could still think. That alone was terrifying.

After an unknown amount of time, I can see something, colours that I have never seen before. Even though I'm trying to understand what I'm seeing, all I can make out is a colorful, foggy substance.

Suddenly, that fog spoke, "Welcome. All praise to the creator."

I tried to say something, but I couldn't.

The thing again spoke, "You are not familiar enough with this environment to speak. But don't worry, I am allowed to read every soul's surface thoughts. So you don't have to speak out loud to have a conversation with me."

'Got it. So, who or what are you?' I thought, trying to form the question in my mind.

"You know me as an angel. The servant of the almighty creator," the thing answered.

'Oh. So I'm indeed dead. Now what?' I said, a bit sad at the thought of leaving all my loved ones.

"After death, every soul is taken to a designated location to wait for the day of judgment. After that, he will either go to heaven or hell. But you are different, as your death was an untimely one. You still had almost 30 years to live. But because of outside interference, you died early," the angel explained.

'Outside interference? What are you talking about?' I asked, confused.

"I assume that you remember having a big headache before your death? That was caused by a metaphysical entity. They can interfere with the physical world, but they are prohibited from causing any permanent harm to someone who has no connection with the metaphysical side. Since that entity not only tried to talk to you but also caused your untimely death, he was sent to a special place in hell. But the only problem is that you are a lost soul with no destination." He clarified.

'Why? What's wrong with my soul?' I asked, scared that my soul might be destroyed.

"Since you still have a long life to live and aren't supposed to die yet, the Angel of Death is unwilling to take your soul. And since you already died in the physical world and your family has already buried your body, you have nowhere to go but to linger in the void. And since you didn't commit suicide, letting you linger like this would be a punishment that you do not deserve. As the creator is fair to all, such a thing can't happen."

'Ok, you are scaring me right now. What will happen to me? Erasure?!'

"Oh, child. Don't be scared. You did nothing wrong. Why would you be punished? I'm only here to give you two options." He said.

'So, I've options! Can you revive me then?' I asked, finally getting some hope back.

"No. There is no one alive capable of resurrecting you in the physical world, and no metaphysical entity is allowed to do anything miraculous like resurrection. So no. No resurrection." He denied.

'Ok, then tell me my options.'

" Your first option is to fall asleep for the rest of your time and wake up on the day of judgment." He gave me my first option.

"Oh! That's not bad at all."

"Ha! You just spoke aloud. Looks like you have a very adaptable soul." Said the angel, amused at my action.

" Huh? Thanks, I guess. Now tell me my other option." I'm not stupid enough to choose something without knowing my every available option.

"Your second opinion is to be sent to the lower creation. A by-product from the creation of the true world." He gave me my second option.

"What is this true world and lower creation you are talking about? Explain." I asked, a bit confused.

"The true world is the physical world where you are from. The world that the creator personally created for you all. But the lower creation is the by-product of the true world. It was created by the fantasies and beliefs of every human in the true world. Since the creator allowed you all to have free will. He also allowed you to, in a sense, imagine a lower world. You might know it as the omniverse." He explained.

"Such a thing actually exists? Can I visit any fantasy world I want?" I said, dumbfounded.

"Yes, you can. Also, for the lost 30 years of your life, you will be given 3 wishes. But those wishes will only be effective in the lower creation. It will not have any effect on the true world. So you can't make a wish to change or add something in the truel world. So what will it be? Sleep or travel?"

"Travel, of course! With 3 wishes!!" I replied without a second thought.

"Ok, Then. Tell me your wishes and I'll send you to a random world that you've watched or read about during your life," the angel said.

"Ok, let me think for a minute." I'm not stupid enough to wish for something dumb in my excitement.

"Ok, take as long as you want. After all, time doesn't exist here." He said.

[One eternity later]

Just joking. A few minutes later, my excitement somewhat died down. Then I finally made up my mind to be OP as hell. I'll not be a dumb idiot and wish for some stupid shit just to make my life harder but interesting. Nope, I'd much like a boring life with OP abilities.

"Ok, my first wish is to get an Omniversal shop that lets me buy anything I want in the omniverse. It should come with an AI assistant that helps me search for what I want or need to buy. And the AI should be absolutely loyal to me. Also, the currency that the shop uses can be earned through various quests and achievements..." I said my first wish.

[AN: "Anything" meaning anything. Hehehe]

"Ok, that's enough for one wish, you can't ask for more."

"Huh? Oh ok. Then my next wish is to have unlimited shop currency. Forever!"

"Oh, that's greedy. But, ok, you can wish for anything after all," he said, thankfully, he didn't reject it.

"Hehe, sorry. But I have to be greedy if I want to truly enjoy my second life."

"I guess you're right. So what is your last wish?" The angel asked.

"It's actually a normal one. Since I'll be randomly sent to a universe. I want to be born in a wealthy family, and my parents should be good people. Also, until I regain my ability to think properly, I should not face any kind of danger."

"Ok. You'll be protected from any harm till your birth. And you'll be born in a good family. Now it's time to choose your destination." He said.

As he said that, a roulette appeared out of nowhere. It had many names written that I mostly recognised. Then he handed me a tiny white ball and told me to throw it on the roulette while it was spinning at an insane speed.

[AN: I used a randomizer to choose the world.]

A couple of minutes later. It finally slowed down. And the result was >Jujutsu Kaisen<.

Ok. Not a bad world to visit. Very few overpowered characters.

And the next thing I knew, my vision went blurry and I lost consciousness.
