A murderous intent erupted from Di Tian's enormous golden pupils, and his colossal body thrashed violently in the air. In his rage, the black dragon scales covering his body stood on end, like the fur of an enraged cat.

"Human, this lord will chop you to pieces!"

As he roared at the heavens, a sonic wave shot upwards like a blast from an electromagnetic cannon. The serene white clouds in the sky were instantly pulverized by the shockwave, leaving the sky clear for miles.

However, before the sunlight could fall, strands of dark energy, as if drawn by some unseen force, surged from every shadowy corner of the Star Dou Great Forest, converging on Di Tian. Wherever the dark energy passed, the vibrant, ancient trees were instantly corroded. Their bark rapidly cracked and decayed, and their leaves and branches withered in an instant, turning into clouds of black ash that dissipated in the air.

The once-clear rivers of the forest turned as black as ink, bubbling with a foul, acrid mist. The spirit beasts living in the water were corroded into pools of black liquid the moment they came into contact with the dark energy.

Seeing the dark power gathering from all directions, Di Tian slowly opened his massive draconic maw. The energy formed into countless streams, a surging black tide that poured madly into his mouth. In an instant, a massive black vortex appeared within his blood-red jaws, the dark energy at its center condensing to a deep, terrifying purple. Not only that, but the surrounding space began to twist and distort under the pull of the dark energy, like dough being kneaded by a formless, giant hand.

The azure sky was now completely shrouded in darkness, as if it were the dead of night.

"Die for me, human!"

A deafening roar erupted from Di Tian's mouth. His massive dragon eyes locked onto Lan Minghua. He snapped his mouth shut, and several black rings of power pulsed around it. The moment he opened it again, a pitch-black dragon's breath tore through the sky. All light was devoured in its path, and the entire sky above the Star Dou Great Forest was engulfed by this terrifying power. In an instant, all vegetation within a radius of several miles was reduced to dust.

Yet Lan Minghua remained standing where he was, casually brushing a strand of hair from his face. His expression was unchanged, still wearing the same lazy look. Seeing the approaching black dragon's breath, a contemptuous smirk curved his lips.

"Well now, you're quite the little black mudfish, good at spitting water. But your breath is foul; you've stunk all these pretty flowers and plants to death."

Even at a moment like this, Lan Minghua couldn't resist a sarcastic remark, his tone so relaxed it was as if he didn't even register the attack.

And in truth, he didn't.

Just as the dragon's breath was about to swallow him whole, he moved.

Lan Minghua gently raised his right hand, palm forward, his fingers slightly spread. He reached out and grabbed the torrent of black dragon's breath. In the face of that attack, he was like a speck of dust. Di Tian was certain that Lan Minghua could never survive his Dark Dragon Breath.

However, what happened next left him staring in utter disbelief.

"Is this all you've got? I wouldn't even use this to dry my hair; it's too filthy."

Before his words had even faded, Lan Minghua's right hand clenched with immense force. With a tearing sound, he directly crushed the dragon's breath into nothingness.

"H-how is this possible?! How can a human of such power exist in the mortal realm!"

Di Tian was dumbfounded. Neither his Dragon God's Claw, his Dark Domain, nor his Dark Dragon Breath could inflict even the slightest harm on him. In the second Douluo Dalu series, after all, Di Tian had once used the Dragon God's Claw to briefly tear through Tang San's Sea God's Seal. Yet, an attack of such magnitude couldn't even scratch the human before him.

Lan Minghua cleaned out his ear and muttered impatiently, "Oi, big black mudfish, do you have any other tricks to show me? If not, I'm just going to catch you and make you my mount."

Hearing this, Di Tian was overcome with fury. "Insolent human!" he roared. "The pride of the Dragon Clan would rather be shattered than bent! My life belongs only to my master and the spirit beasts!"

His voice boomed like thunder, shaking the entire Star Dou Great Forest. With a violent swing of his massive body, he whipped up a furious gale and charged directly at Lan Minghua. His claws tore through the air, and his tail swept across the land, his attacks blotting out the sky.

Yet, in the face of Di Tian's terrifying assault, Lan Minghua appeared completely at ease. With a light tap of his toe in mid-air, his entire body drifted like a willow catkin, effortlessly evading Di Tian's every strike. His movements seemed random, yet he always managed to avoid the attacks at the last possible second.

"My, my, you're quite a lively little mudfish, aren't you?" Lan Minghua continued to taunt as he dodged.

Di Tian's heart burned with humiliation, and his dragon eyes practically spat fire. He twisted his body and suddenly accelerated, his massive form pressing down on Lan Minghua like a mountain as his claws descended with the power to tear space itself.

A slight smile played on Lan Minghua's lips. His figure flickered, and while avoiding the attack, he reappeared directly on top of Di Tian's enormous dragon head.

Lan Minghua lifted his slipper-clad foot and stomped down hard.

Bang!

With a dull thud, Di Tian felt as if he had been struck by lightning. His body, thousands of meters long, shuddered as though suppressed by an invisible mountain. His colossal form plunged downwards, crushed by an immense gravitational force, and crashed directly into the ground.

With a thunderous boom, the earth collapsed, creating a massive crater as dust and debris filled the air. Di Tian let out a pained shriek. Several of the black scales on his forehead had been shattered and dislodged by the stomp, and blood streamed from the cracks between them.

Lan Minghua looked down on him from the sky, still looking as lazy as ever, even letting out a yawn.

"You big black mudfish, you've got some strength, but it's still not enough to be interesting."

Di Tian was enraged, and a hint of madness flashed in his dragon eyes. He suddenly raised his head, opened his massive maw, and began to condense another jet of black dragon's breath.

However, faced with such a slow, telegraphed move, Lan Minghua couldn't be bothered to play along any longer. With a casual flick of his hand, a brilliant beam of sword light shot from his fingertips, heading straight for the location of Di Tian's heart.

With a piercing sound, the sword light, moving like a bolt of lightning, tore through Di Tian's scales and plunged directly into his heart. Even with the formidable defense of his dragon body, it was like paper before Lan Minghua's sword energy.

Instantly, Di Tian let out a piercing draconic scream. His body trembled violently, and blood gushed from the wound.

But at that moment, his inverse scale was triggered. His passive ability, the Inverse Scale Eruption, activated. In an instant, a crazed golden light flashed in Di Tian's dragon eyes. The ability boosted all of his attributes by 300%, and his attacks now came with a "sure-hit" rule, ignoring all evasion and defense.

"Roar!"

Di Tian let out a world-shaking roar, and his massive body shot into the sky, his black scales now covered in a layer of golden light. Unleashing the Dragon God's Claw with his entire body, its power was even greater than before. And this attack, imbued with the rule of "sure-hit," was completely unavoidable and unblockable!

Yet, in the face of this terrifying strike, Lan Minghua's expression remained calm.

He slowly raised his hand, his arm drawn back like a fully tensed bowstring, and threw a simple, unadorned punch.

Boom!

With a deafening explosion, the power that could have torn the heavens asunder instantly shattered.

"What?!" Di Tian's pupils shrank in shock. He had imagined many ways Lan Minghua might try to evade his attack, but he had never expected this outcome. One punch. Just a single punch had broken the divine skill granted to him by the Silver Dragon King, the Dragon God's Claw.

In the next moment, Di Tian's colossal body was sent flying back for dozens of miles before he could finally come to a stop.

Lan Minghua looked up at him, a mocking smile on his lips. "Is that all the strength you have? You big black mudfish, you're a real disappointment."

Di Tian remained silent, merely staring at the claw he had used to perform the attack.

Crack, crack!

With a series of sharp sounds, the black dragon scales on his claw began to peel off in large flakes. As the scales fell away, fresh blood gushed out.

In that moment, Di Tian completely understood the difference in their power. His only option now was to use his Dragon Soul Sacrifice—to burn his soul and body in exchange for a brief period of God-King-level combat strength. But if he did that, he would be unable to revive his master, the Silver Dragon King.

If this human tries to force me to be his mount, I will fight to the death, Di Tian resolved.

Just then, Lan Minghua's voice drifted down.

"Alright, big black mudfish, we've had our fun. Isn't it time to admit defeat? Now, can you tell me why you decided to provoke me?"
