" Ashley, com'on you can't be late. You have an interview today, " a girl shouted
" I know, I know. I'll be down soon, " Ashley shouted as she hurriedly tied her hair into a bun.
" Come mum's calling for you," the girl shouted again
" I said I'm coming," Ashley shouted back.
" Taylor, could you please stop screaming? You'll busty hear drums," a girl sitting on a dining table said.
" Your ear drums are pretty thick, so my voice can't bust it," Taylor rebutted
" You are so dumb. My ear drums aren't thick. My skin is" the girl retorted
" Whatever."
" You..."
" You guys can stop behaving like kids. You're all adults. And Michelle, you are Taylor's elder. You are supposed to be more matured and you Taylor, mind yourself, " reprimanded Nicole
" But mum, Michelle's the one..."
" Keep quiet," said Nicole
" Mum, I'm ready," said Ashley as she came down the stairs. Her hair was packed into a bun, she had no makeup on her face except for the lip tint, and she wore a professional outfit - a white long sleeves shirt and a black pencil skirt. She looked beautiful with her almost white skin and her straight nose
" Are you going now?" Asked Nicole
" Yes, there might be traffic, and I don't want to go late."
" Nonsense. Come and have breakfast first. "
" But..."
" No buts, have breakfast."
" Ok, mum,"
Ashley had her breakfast and quickly rushed out of the house and flagged down a cab. Her worries did come true there was traffic but it was not much but she was almost late.
She had an interview today at 9:00 and she didn't want to go late.
It was already 8:54, and the time Ashley got out of the cab. She stood in front of the tall building, which had a huge sign that said
'METEOR'
Ashley took a deep breath and walked into the building, clenching and unclenching her hands that held her resume.
She walked to the receptionist and told her that she was having an interview and the receptionist asked for her name and she said Ashley the receptionist looked at her and said surname and she paused before saying
" Ashley Dean"
" Uh.... Yes please go to the 20th floor"
" Thank you,"
" Ashley turned and walked towards the elevator and saw there were two and she knew that one was for the boss and one for the employees but she didn't know which one she looked left and right then decided to go right.
She entered the elevator and but soon she had company. A man entered the elevator also, and he was wearing a well tailored suit. Ashley head was down, and she didn't see the man but saw he was wearing an expensive shoe.
' Oh shoot, I think I entered the Boss's elevator'
" Sorry sir, I'll get out of the elevator."
" No need, the elevator is already moving," said the man in an emotionless voice
"I'm so sorry, I..."
" You wanna tell me that you didn't know that this elevator was for me?" The man mocked
" I...i- was confused," Ashley said. Then her last part was barely a whisper
Ashley raised her head and looked at the man but only saw his side profile.
He was tall, and his side profile was so strikingly handsome.
He had a straight nose, thin lips, and cold eyes even though she couldn't see his face properly.
Ashley knew that he was handsome and felt that his side profile was familiar,
