Chapter 22 - Chapter 22: The Royal Bloodline of the Fallen Kingdom‎

‎The group stood in the remains of the ancient city, a place that once thrived with the power of kings and queens, now reduced to rubble. The air was thick with the weight of history, as the secrets of the kingdom began to unfold before them. Lyra, Aizen, Mikaela, and Theodore were all gathered around Amethyst, who had been unusually quiet since the destruction of the Crimson Hand's leader, Esdarte.

‎It was Amethyst, standing by the wreckage of the Black Tower, who finally broke the silence.

‎"This place... it's my home," Amethyst said quietly, his purple hair disheveled, his voice tinged with sorrow. "This was the kingdom where my ancestors ruled. I never thought I'd return, let alone like this…"

‎Crystal, the fragile 7-year-old girl with light pink hair and red eyes, tugged at her brother's sleeve, as if to offer him comfort. Her tiny frame trembled, as the weight of the truth settled in.

‎"I... I never knew," Amethyst continued, his voice shaky. "We never knew we were the last of the royal bloodline. Our parents—gone, the kingdom—destroyed. Everything was taken from us before we even had a chance to understand who we were. All we had left were the memories of a once-glorious past… and the fear of a future that might never come."

‎Lyra, who had been standing by Aizen, her hand on his arm, took a step forward. "Amethyst... Crystal... You don't have to face this alone."

‎The words seemed to soften the sadness in Amethyst's eyes, though his sorrow still lingered. "We were just kids, when it all happened. The kingdom fell when we were too young to defend it. Our parents fought to the end, but Esdarte... he came with his army and destroyed everything. They... they killed our parents in front of us. We ran, but we were too weak... so we hid. We survived on the run, but we never knew why we were hunted."

‎Tears began to well up in Crystal's eyes, her small hands clenched tightly into fists. "I don't remember much… just that it was so scary..."

‎Mikaela, who had been standing at a distance, now moved toward them, her face etched with empathy. She knelt beside Crystal, wrapping her arms around the girl in a protective embrace. "You don't need to remember all the pain. You have a family now."

‎Amethyst swallowed hard and glanced at the ruined kingdom around him, the broken statues of kings and queens towering like silent sentinels. "Esdarte was after us, to take our blood and use it to gain power. That's how he grew stronger... But even that wasn't enough to defeat Aizen."

‎Aizen, who had been listening intently, stepped forward. His voice, though calm, carried the strength of a man who had seen too much war. "Your strength is not just in your bloodline. It's in the heart that still beats within you. You've already proven your resilience."

‎Amethyst glanced at Aizen, his eyes narrowing in determination. "Thank you… for everything." Then he turned to Crystal, who was quietly wiping her eyes, and knelt down to her level. "We survived because we had each other. We'll survive because we have you all now."

‎Lyra, who had been quietly observing, stepped forward. "You're not alone anymore, Amethyst. You have a family here, with us."

‎The air was thick with emotion, and for the first time, Amethyst allowed himself to smile, a small, bittersweet curve of his lips. "A family…" he whispered.

‎Aizen, who had been silent, now spoke, his voice resolute. "We'll rebuild what was lost. Together. No one will be left behind."

‎Amethyst looked at him, eyes filled with gratitude. Then, with a small nod, he turned to Crystal. "What do you say, Crystal? Should we join this family of warriors?"

‎Crystal, looking up at Amethyst, smiled a little. "Can we stay with them? I don't want to be alone anymore."

‎Aizen, taking a step forward, extended his hand. "You're already part of this family. No one's ever alone again."

‎And so, the two children—Amethyst and Crystal—became part of Aizen and Lyra's family. Their pasts, dark and tragic, would never be erased, but in this moment, they had found a new beginning, a family bound by not just blood, but by love and shared strength.

‎As the sun set over the ruins of the fallen kingdom, Aizen, Lyra, Mikaela, Theodore, Amethyst, and Crystal stood together, ready to face whatever lay ahead. For now, they were not just warriors, but a family, united in their resolve to protect each other and build a future worthy of the legacy that had been lost.
