Third person P.O.V.
Nagisa's face was illuminated by her screen as she leaned against a wall. She giggled as her phone pinged. Her thumbs tapping away at the screen.
Nagisa: "What do you mean you can't focus? I thought you wanted to succeed your dad and lock us up? How are you going to do that if you can't handle little school work?"
Her phone pinged.
Shinichi: "It's because you're distracting me."
Nagisa: "Me?! I'd never. Btw is your lips still tingle from two weeks ago?"
Shinichi: "See! You're doing this on purpose (╯ರ ~ ರ)╯︵ ┻━┻!"
Nagisa: "Idk what you talking bout Shinichi baby ¯\_( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)_/¯. Seeing as how you've tossed your table, you're done with studying and free to go out with me?"
Shinichi: "...idk, it's not good for my image to associate with a criminal."
Nagisa: "You're right. I could come over to your house. (つ≧▽≦)つ"
Shinichi: "No! That's even worse!"
Nagisa: "Don't worry, I'm very stealthy. No one would know what we were doing alone together."
He gulped.
Shinichi: "N-no we can't do that! It's immoral!"
She giggled.
Nagisa: "Yeah, who knows what you could get out of me if where alone."
Shinichi: "On second thought, I'd love to go out."
She shook her head. Of course you say yes to getting info. Stupid cop boy. Light from above hits her illuminating the room and revealing a strange double door to her left.
Nagisa: "Later cop boy." Foot steps came down to her.
Shinichi: "What about our date?"
Nagisa: "Rain check."
She turned of her phone. "You sure took your sweet time."
They came into view. "Apologies. Your call was sudden." She held a torch.
"It's fine Akane. By now, you should all have adjusted to having level two comprehension of The Truth of The World." All four of their shadows smiled malevolently.
"After we understand level one a month ago during the Eschaton Temple Infiltration, we got level two comprehension two weeks later thanks to cousin Kai." Said Maria.
Kawa Smirked. "If it was before, I would've never believed that we pinned everything on Shinichi. After becoming a Seeker and gaining Level Two Compression, framing him was too easy."
"We really have cousin Kai to thank. It's because of him that almost all the Yamaguchi on Okinawa have Level Two Compression and those who didn't will attain it with ease once the right conditions are met." Said Akane. "Any news on his where abouts?"
"Not that I know about. But if there is, it's behind this door."
They dropped their phones into a basket. Nagisa opened the doors. Air was pulled in. Their torch went out. Their hair and eyes went crimson except for Akane who trembled.
She slumps against the doorjamb. This place, this force the it exudes calls to my bloodline. It's strong but I have to fight it. Her back glowed with a black tattoo. The others smirked. Their backs also glowed with the same black tattoo.
"Even if you're a homosapien, your still a Yamaguchi." She extended her hand. Akane stood on her own. "Good to know you still have the Yamaguchi ways." She stepped into the darkness. The others followed. Their surroundings illuminated by crimson hue as they traverse the cave.
"So Future Clan leader, hows it going with our future cousin in law?" Kawa Smirked.
"Yeah, have you two gotten intimate yet?" Maria nudged her.
"No, it's only been a month since we kissed and we aren't even dating."
Kawa frowns. "Come on, there's got to be more going on than that."
"The roles should be reversed. You guys are the ones with fiancees that know The Truth of The World just like you. Isn't that exciting?" All three blushed.
"Yeah it is. Me and William would talk about all the things that are wrong with the world."
"Babo's got some pretty good solutions, though he talks too much." Maria giggles.
"Yes they're fun to discuss with until the backlash gives them headaches." Said Akane. "Isn't it the same for you Nagisa? Shinichi also knows The Truth of the World."
"He knows but he's suppressing it." I really wanna see that twisted grin on his face as the madness and hatred manifest, he'd be so hot. They arrived at another set of twin doors. "Last chance to turn back." They looked at each other then walked past her, opening the door.
"We salute Future Clan Leader Nagisa." They bowed their heads to her.
She marched forward. The room was a massive circle. Many tunnels lined the walls with piles of gold, jewellery, books and even the items that were skillfully acquired. This is where they kept the things I took from the Eschaton Temple. Hopefully I can convince them to break our none interference with magic rule. If we can research magic then maybe I'll find something about what a Wight is. "Former Clan Leader Donna, Clan Leader Ren, Lieutenant Sayuri. I, Future Clan Leader Nagisa greet you." She bowed.
"We greet those who came before us." The girls bowed behind Nagisa. Seated before them were Ren, Donna and Sayuri around a large table. Their hair and eyes glowed crimson in the dimly lit room.
"So they're who you've chosen. Almost all three are good candidates." Said Ren. Akane gulped. Sayuri sighed. "But only one can be your lieutenant. Kawa's speed, strength and raw destructive power are the strongest of your generation after you. Her aura weapon can be defensive end offensive which covers your weak defence. She'll be able to keep up with and support you in battle as she did Akane when they use to train."
I didn't know the Clan Leader thought so highly of me. Her cheeks red.
"While little Kawa is the best physically, she lacks self restraint and only follows orders." Said Dana. "She lacks initiative and foresight, things that are absolutely necessary to guide and support a Clan Leader especially when enraged. Maria on the other hand is the inverse. Though she's not as good as Kawa in physical capabilities but she is great at finding loopholes in plans as well as great foresight that proved invaluable to Akane. And her sassy nature will help her stand up against a clan leader in due time."
I can actually be useful? I always thought that I was a disappointment for being weaker than Kawa... Maria smiled weakly.
"Ma, isn't that a nice way of saying she's a pessimist ass?" Said Aunt. Maria caughed then glared. "Look Nagisa both of them got their flaws so just choose one."
"I've already chosen my lieutenant." She waved her hand. Akane floats forward. "Akane will be my Lieutenant."
"Like hell she will! Over my dead goddamned ovaries!" She slammed her first on the table taking a stand.
Nagisa glared at her. "That's not your call to make. Lieutenant."
Sayuri froze. She grit her teeth."You little bitch! You dare to use Commands on me." She slowly started moving. "Isn't what your brother did to her bad enough, now you want to finish the job huh bitch?!"
Nagisa growled. Sayuri stiffened. Akane held Nagisa's shoulder. "Future Clan Leader Nagisa, think about what you're doing to the Lieutenant in front of the former and current Clan Leaders a mare month after your inauguration at your first major clan meeting."
Nagisa sighed. Sayuri was freed. "I apologize over losing my cool over something so trivial. It's unbecoming of your Future Clan Leader. The fact remains that Akane is the best candidate." Everyone gave her a puzzled look.
"Without being able to use Bloodlust Drive, she was able to keep up with us even as far as matching Kawa.
"During the Eschaton Temple Infiltration she came up with a decisive plan, coordinating Kawa and Maria in positions where they'd proform well to rescue me with only a little information.
"You've all indirectly said it yourselves, that she's better than Kawa and Maria. Even they know it." Kawa and Maria smiled and nudged Akane. "You saw how Akane was the only one who isn't afraid of me and tried stop me while the others just stood there." She smirked.
"I see Nagisa, you planned that far ahead." Said Donna.
Ren chucked. "Sis you got doped."
"Shut up!" Sayuri turned to Nagisa. "You planned that?"
"Well I was going to do it anyway but you calling me a bitch really encouraged me to put some passion into it." I wore a plastic smile.
"You dirty skank! You tricked me!"
Nagisa shrugged. "What you talken bout Willis?"
Ren and Danna wavered. Sayuri shook her head. "Even so she's still can't. She's going to die and we can't do anything with what we have right now. Making her your lieutenant would be pushing her faster to her grave."
"She's going to die whether or not she is my lieutenant. Why not let that flame go out in a blaze of glory like a true Yamaguchi?!"
They all blushed. Sayuri cleared her throat. "Regardless," She composed herself. "As much as we'd all like to see that blaze, her main task right now is to produce an hier to our bloodline. She's has less than nine months and isn't even pregnant yet."
"Mom! I'm still in school. I'm just fifteen."
She scoffed. "Please when I was your age I was already banging your dad trying to have you."
"Good thing he was sensible enough to wear rubber." Said Ren.
"Not my fault he couldn't take how tight I was."
"Mom!"
She shrugged. "What?"
"No one wants to hear about your dried up coochie Sayuri." Grandma rolled her eyes.
"It was not dry! Anyway back on topic. She can't be your lieutenant."
"I'll give you two reasons she can. One I won't ask her to do anything aura related. This'll make she her lifespan doesn't get reduced faster. She just has to be my council. That should ease your motherly worries.
"Two, none of us said this though I'm sure you all knew something was off in recollection of the events of that day. What I made sure they didn't tell you was that Akane was able hear my message to mom. That's how she got there first."
Ren's was flabbergasted. "Before me, then it would be because of close proximity but.."
"That shouldn't be possible for her because Nagisa wasn't fully awakened yet as the Future Clan Leader so only title holders like ourselves should've be able to hear the message." Said Donna.
"And Kawa and Maria didn't hear though they were with Akane, yet she heard even though she can't use Bloodlust Drive..." Sayuri covered her mouth. All of them stared at Akane and Nagisa.
"Yes I've long called her to be my Future Lieutenant and she answered the call long ago."
Sayuri stood serious. "Yes! My baby did it! Yeah she did it! In your face na sayers!" She fist pumped. "So what if she a crippled, she's still going to be the Future Lieutenant bitch!"
