"Troublesome brat," Magellan muttered, evaluating him.
At the same time, he controlled the massive Poison Giant and hurled it at Yujin!
The Poison Giant moved at incredible speed, tearing through the air with a whistling roar, distorting the atmosphere around it.
But Yujin's body seemed to anticipate every movement, dodging at the last possible second.
He would sidestep just as the giant fist brushed past his clothes.
Or leap high into the air, leaving the giant's sweeping punch to hit nothing but empty space.
His movements were fluid, natural, without hesitation or delay.
Like a master of Ultra Instinct, he relied purely on instinct and intuition to evade.
Time and again, Magellan's attacks missed, driving him to grit his teeth in frustration.
After a while, Magellan realized that even his ultimate move, the Poison Giant, was far less effective than covering the entire battlefield with poison clouds and gas.
Immediately, he changed his strategy.
"Poison Cloud!"
Yujin reacted instantly.
As Magellan released the poisonous mist, Yujin quickly injected an antidote into his neck.
Then he took a deep breath, held it, and with a roar, launched a powerful punch straight at Magellan!
The punch carried the immense power of Yujin's Second-Level Gene Lock activation.
It landed squarely on Magellan, making his body stagger.
Without hesitation, Yujin unleashed a flurry of feathers from Ukaku at Magellan.
Over twenty purple feathers, each about twenty centimeters long, shot forward like sharp daggers.
The feathers moved incredibly fast.
Magellan couldn't dodge in time.
Several feathers struck him, destabilizing his stance, and his toxic liquid spilled everywhere.
Just as Magellan regained his footing, Yujin's tail needle, glowing with green light, shot toward Magellan's eyes like a viper emerging from its hole.
Seeing this, Magellan immediately activated the full-body effect of his "Giant Poisonous Soldier."
In an instant, his entire body became a red, toxic figure.
The tail needle struck Magellan's eye socket.
Though it scattered some of his poison, Magellan's toxic liquid had immense regenerative power and quickly patched up the gaps.
Yujin saw this and prepared to continue his attack.
A fierce glint appeared in Magellan's eyes.
He slammed both hands onto the ground and shouted, "Sea of Poison!"
In an instant, the red, terrifying toxic liquid covering his body surged outward like a tidal wave.
Where it spread, the floor instantly corroded, turning into a scorching, poisonous wasteland.
The pungent smell and blistering heat intertwined, as if hell itself had descended, twisting and warping the surrounding air.
Yujin's heart tightened.
The ground beneath him was completely covered in poison.
There was no place to stand.
Helpless, he relied on his speed, retreating rapidly while keeping Magellan in his sights.
His expression was grave.
But Magellan didn't give him a moment to breathe.
He took a deep breath, and his throat pulsed violently.
A massive cloud of poisonous gas erupted from his mouth, drifting quickly toward Yujin like a dark, rolling storm.
Where the gas passed, the air seemed to corrode, hissing with a sharp, sizzling sound.
At the same time, Magellan flicked his wrists, launching poison balls at Yujin like shooting stars.
Each ball left a long red trail in its wake.
If even one hit, it would waste a precious antidote.
Yujin dodged continuously, thinking of a countermeasure.
At this moment, Magellan was like a mobile poison cannon, relentlessly bombarding Yujin and shrinking his survival space.
He couldn't stand on the ground, and flying offered no safe refuge.
If time dragged on, the massive amount of gas would deplete his antidotes.
"This is tricky," Yujin thought.
But no matter what, forcing a Magellan, a figure on par with an admiral, into such a corner—even without defeating him—was an astonishing feat.
With that in mind, the pirate Yujin stopped hesitating.
He conserved his strength and flew toward the entrance to the lower level.
"Where do you think you're going? Stay and face me!"
Magellan swung his wrists, sending several poison balls flying.
But Yujin's reactions were too fast.
The balls were nothing more than a farewell gift as he disappeared from Magellan's sight.
"Damn it… fine. First, deal with the chaos in Eternal Hell, then bring this guy to justice!"
At that moment, around the corners of the sixth layer of Eternal Hell and the Freezing Hell, the two forces faced off.
Pirates didn't just hold grudges against the Navy. They were rivals among themselves as well, often clashing on the seas.
Years of imprisonment had dulled their minds, and now that enemies met once more, their hatred flared instantly. Before they even tried to escape Impel Down, many were already confronting each other.
"Back then it was because of you that I got captured and thrown into this hell! Today, I'm taking your life!" one pirate shouted.
"You've got some nerve saying that! You only got caught because you stole my treasure map! And I was captured because I attacked the Navy trying to take it back! Everything happened because of you!" another retorted.
Chaos rippled through the crowd. Inazuma and Ivankov stood off to the side, helpless before this mob of quarrelsome pirates.
Even though all these men were weakened from years of malnutrition and exposure to Magellan's poison, they were still infamous pirates with bounties worth hundreds of millions. They weren't people who could be handled easily.
Just as the conflict was about to explode, a single figure flashed into the middle of both sides.
Redfield stepped forward, gripping his famed blade, Raiu. With a single slash wrapped in crimson Armament Haki, he split the ground between them, carving a massive crack into the floor.
Seeing this, the pirates who had been shouting instantly fell silent.
"I'll say this once," Redfield growled. "The only thing that matters now is escaping Impel Down. Anyone who causes trouble… will be declaring war on me."
Catarina Devon stood to the side with her arms crossed, laughing strangely.
"Ahahaha~ As expected of Red the Aloof," she said.
At last, the noise died down. After what felt like hours of waiting, the elevator that led to the scorching-hot Inferno Level was finally about to arrive.
At that moment, a prisoner locked in a cell near the elevator suddenly began to laugh.
"Hehehehehe…"
The inmates turned around and saw a figure wrapped in a Marine coat.
"Shiryu of the Rain?! Why is he locked up?" one asked.
"Him? I heard he was thrown in here for murdering his fellow guards. He deserved it!" another said.
"Hehehehehe…" Shiryu continued to laugh. The sound was disturbing and cold, enough to send shivers down anyone's spine.
"You really think that just because you're holding my sword, you can beat Magellan?" Shiryu looked straight at Redfield. "Your old bones will rot under his poison long before you ever defeat him. Free me. Only I can deal with Magellan."
His tempting words made several prisoners falter.
"He's right! Shiryu and Magellan were known as the Iron Wall of Impel Down! If we let him fight Magellan, we'll have a chance to escape!"
"Exactly! Why shouldn't we release him?"
Inazuma didn't hesitate for a second. He shouted, "Shiryu can't be trusted! If you free him, he'll kill us first! That's who he is! Ask the guards who died by his blade—oh wait, you can't, because he slaughtered them!"
Many monsters like Shiryu were imprisoned in Level 6: Eternal Hell. Some were lunatics who, once freed, immediately attacked anyone near them. Shiryu was simply one among many.
And another prisoner chosen by Yujin was a man driven by a single, twisted ambition—to kill all the Yonko, the Admirals, and every strong fighter in the world.
The movie villain himself—Douglas Bullet.
"Hehehe."
Shiryu lit his cigar. "That's all just Magellan's lies. I was wrongfully imprisoned, and now I just want my revenge. Hey, with all of you here… you're not afraid I'll turn on you, are you?"
"Enough."
Redfield interrupted Shiryu, a smirk playing on his lips. With his mind-reading ability, he knew exactly what Shiryu was thinking. "Your tricks only fool them. Farewell, Shiryu of the Rain."
No sooner had he spoken than the elevator dinged, arriving at the Eternal Hell.
The prisoners all shoved themselves inside, desperate not to lose their spots.
This elevator, designed to hold giant race prisoners, was massive. Those who needed to get in had boarded, while the weaker prisoners waited for the next ride.
Watching this ragtag crowd trying to escape, Shiryu blew out a smoke ring.
"I want to see how you deal with that guy."
At that moment, another rarely used backup elevator beside them began to shake violently!
Seeing it move, Shiryu, who had been sitting on the floor, suddenly stood up.
A bloodthirsty gleam flashed in his eyes, though he quickly controlled it.
After a while, the elevator reached the floor, and the remaining prisoners hurried over.
But as soon as the elevator doors opened, their smiles froze.
Inside stood the "Iron Wall" of Impel Down!
The Poison Man! Magellan!
