Chapter 24 - Chapter 24 – Even Death Can’t Stop Me!

Good's clash with Whitebeard had left him devastatingly wounded.

No—this wasn't just a serious injury. It was a mortal blow.

From shoulder to waist, half his body had been cleaved open. For anyone else, this would've meant instant death.

High above, blood streamed from Good's mouth as he hovered mid-air, his body nearly torn in two.

Akainu and Kizaru both froze—their expressions shifting.

If that bleeding wasn't stopped, Good was done for.

Kizaru instinctively prepared to activate his Yata no Kagami (Eight-Fold Mirror) to rush to his aid—but before he could move, Benn Beckman stepped in.

With a calm demeanor, a cigarette in his mouth, and the barrel of his gun aimed right at Kizaru, he said coldly,

"Don't move. I doubt I'm slower on the trigger than your Pika Pika no Mi (Glint-Glint Fruit)."

And it wasn't just Benn.

All the Red Hair commanders stood ready, blocking the Admirals' path to Good.

Shanks, his sword Gryphon already crackling with Haki, spoke up grimly,

"This new Admiral may be impressive, and it'd be a shame if he died... but in the end, he's still a Marine. We're pirates.

His death benefits us."

No way were they letting the Admirals rescue Good.

Meanwhile, Marco, Vista, and the rest of Whitebeard's commanders were ecstatic.

"Talking big in front of Pops—regret it now, don't ya?" Jozu shouted, fists clenched with glee.

He hadn't forgotten how many of their comrades had been injured or killed by that earlier Meteor Volcano. Good had earned their wrath.

Everyone in the Whitebeard Pirates was sure—this fight was over.

Even if Good somehow clung to life, there was no way he'd recover from that. At best, he'd be bedridden for a year. At worst, the Navy was down to just three Admirals again.

Back aboard the floating battleship, Momousagi's face turned pale.

"Admiral Good"

She hadn't expected Whitebeard to land such a critical blow.

If she didn't help him soon, he'd die from blood loss.

Surprisingly, Shiki didn't look thrilled by this either. In fact, he was frowning.

Why hadn't the battleship fallen yet?

The ship was floating thanks to Good's Fuwa Fuwa no Mi. With Good so severely wounded, the ship should've come crashing down.

What the hell was going on?

Just as Shiki had that thought—

Good burst out laughing.

Loudly.

"HAHAHA! Now THAT'S what I call satisfying! Damn, Whitebeard, you really live up to the hype!"

"That was worth the trip alone!"

Momousagi, who had been rushing to help, froze in her tracks at his sudden laughter.

Was he… insane!?

"What's so 'satisfying' about almost dying!? You're bleeding out!"

She rushed to help him, only for Good to wave her off.

"Don't bother! Just keep watch on that one-horned bastard." He nodded toward Shiki.

Momousagi hesitated. He couldn't be serious.

His guts were hanging out of his body, and yet he still wanted to act tough!?

"You'll bleed faster if you keep talking! Please, just stay still—I'm coming to help!"

Below, everyone—Admirals, Emperors, commanders—stared at Good, dumbfounded.

He had just been bisected, and yet here he was, laughing and yelling like a lunatic.

"You're gonna die from 'satisfaction' at this rate..." someone muttered.

But Good ignored all of them.

His eyes locked on Momousagi.

"I said: Stay there. I don't need help."

And then it happened.

His body began to heal.

Slowly at first—but then faster and faster.

Organs regrew. Bones fused. Skin sealed.

Within moments, the mortal wound was closing before everyone's eyes.

The battlefield froze.

"...He's healing. From THAT?!"

"No way..."

"Is he a monster!?"

Even Whitebeard and Shanks—undisputed emperors of the sea—couldn't keep their surprise hidden.

This went beyond regeneration. Not even Kaido, the so-called "strongest creature," could bounce back from something like this.

Marco, Vista, Jozu—all the Whitebeard commanders who were just celebrating—stared in horror.

"…This guy's even more broken than Kaido…"

But Good didn't care about their reactions.

His focus was on the voice in his head—the system.

"Strength +49, Agility +48, Armament Haki +62, Physical Technique +41…"

"Replication Progress – [Gura Gura no Mi (Tremor-Tremor Fruit)]: 81%"

"Replication Progress – [Haoshoku Haki (Conqueror's Haki)]: 62%"

That one exchange had pushed his progress forward by over 60% on both targets!

Good's face split into a wild grin.

"OF COURSE I'M SATISFIED!!"

Despite the massive energy drain, he was ecstatic.

Everything was going exactly how he wanted.

Keep fighting. Keep replicating. Keep getting stronger.

That was all he needed.

Then—just as his body finished healing—Good sprang up again.

His voice boomed across the battlefield:

"WHITEBEARD!! HIT ME AGAIN!! LET'S SEE IF YOU CAN TOP THAT!!"

Below, Whitebeard narrowed his eyes.

He was truly intrigued now.

Though he had struck a lethal blow, Good had healed—and looked more exhausted than ever.

Clearly, this healing came at a great cost.

One more hit like that, Whitebeard thought,

And he won't have enough left to fix himself.

And then?

It's over.
