When the light faded, what appeared before Natsui's eyes was an Eevee with a new form: a Jolteon with a yellow body covered in sharp spikes like lightning bolts!
Jolteon had thin limbs and small claws, a white fur collar around its neck, and the spikes on its body were as sharp as lightning rods. Just by looking at it, one could almost feel the vibrant vitality and electricity inside its body.
Shoving aside the other Pokémon who had gathered curiously to watch, Natsui quickly took out her Pokédex to search for information on Jolteon.
Pokédex: "Bip, Jolteon, the Lightning Pokémon, Electric type. Evolved with a Thunder Stone. When frightened, the fur all over its body bristles like needles to intimidate the enemy. It is an expert in Electric-type moves, capable of absorbing negative ions from the air and sometimes releasing high-voltage discharges of about 10,000 volts. It possesses considerable speed, so in some places, it is even tasked with watching over other Pokémon."
"What a marvel." Stroking Jolteon's sharp spikes, Natsui nodded with satisfaction and complimented it: "Jolteon, your new look is amazing, it really suits you."
...
In the morning.
Natsui left the Sakuragi Institute and, following a winding uphill mountain path, slowly ventured into the deep mountains adjacent to Cerulean City.
After walking for a while, the terrain gradually elevated, the buildings on both sides became more sparse, and in their place appeared increasingly sturdy and dense trees, along with rows of wind turbines that occasionally turned, erected on the slopes of the mountain.
And amidst the mountains stood an old power plant built with red bricks and cement.
From the outside, this power plant, although covered in moss and with several broken windows, was not entirely abandoned, as occasional flickers of electricity in the wires and the hum of equipment inside indicated. Occasionally, maintenance personnel came to carry out minor repairs.
Looking around, aside from the whispering wind, everything was silent, with no strange movements or signs of wild Pokémon activity.
As Natsui approached the plant, she discovered that the main door was locked, with a large, rusted padlock hanging from it, securing it firmly.
However, a side window was slightly open, with broken glass on the ground. She looked around, and after confirming that no one else was present, she jumped through the window to enter.
The interior of the power plant was built like a maze.
And just like on the outside, there was an exceptional silence here as well. Under the light of the orange emergency lamps, the place seemed very dark.
Taking out a flashlight, Natsui removed the tape and, upon turning it on, the light illuminated the surroundings, finally allowing her to see the internal structure of the plant.
The echo of disordered footsteps softly resonated through the hallway. Natsui searched carefully, but after opening the doors of several rooms, she found nothing unusual.
"Have you discovered anything abnormal?"
Upon hearing Natsui's words, Kirlia and the other Pokémon gently shook their heads.
Nothing?
Could it be that the equipment is just old!?
With doubts, Natsui rubbed her chin and ordered, "Well, since we're here, let's split up and search. Maybe we'll find something."
However, as soon as she finished speaking, she suddenly heard what seemed to be a scream coming from deep within the plant.
The sound was brief and clear, and although it only lasted for a moment, she caught it with her sharp hearing.
"What was that sound?"
Natsui strained her ears, and upon hearing no second scream, she looked at her Pokémon.
The Pokémon nodded in unison, clearly having heard the sound as well.
"It seems to be coming from there, let's go!"
Leading her Pokémon, Natsui quickly walked, turning left and right, until she finally reached a half-open door.
Through the crack, she could see that in the room, sunlight poured in from the glass ceiling, illuminating the entire space. The hum of several generators allowed Natsui to immediately identify that this was the most important part of the plant: the main power room.
But what surprised Natsui the most was that, at that moment, in the middle of the room, a huge golden bird Pokémon was perched on a machine, continuously absorbing electricity from the generators!
Upon seeing that familiar form, that imposing figure, although Natsui had already seen many Pokémon, she couldn't help but feel a strong shock in her heart.
It was the legendary Pokémon, Zapdos!!
Zapdos is an extremely rare legendary Pokémon. Its body is mainly golden, with numerous sharp feathers on its wings and tail. Under its sharp eyes, it has a long, pointed orange beak. Due to its ability to control lightning and change the weather, people often refer to it as the god of thunder!
What should she do now?
Natsui turned around, looked at her Pokémon, and, seeing that they were all watching her, waiting for her orders, she couldn't help but clench her fists.
This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity! Since I've encountered it, I must capture it at all costs!
However, with her current Pokémon, capturing Zapdos wouldn't be easy.
Zapdos's types are Electric and Flying, and Natsui didn't have any Pokémon in her team that had a type advantage over it. On the contrary, Zapdos could deal double damage to her Squirtle.
But no matter how difficult it was, Natsui didn't want to miss this opportunity.
"Kirlia, Ivysaur, Jolteon, Squirtle, and Charmander, now it all depends on you. Our opponent this time is an extremely strong type. If you fight alone, none of you will be able to rival it. So don't hold back, attack together and defeat it!"
All the Pokémon shouted in unison. Immediately, the door to the power room opened with a bang, and Jolteon was the first to rush out. Behind it, the other Pokémon entered in line, surrounding Zapdos.
Inside the room, Zapdos, which had been replenishing its energy, became enraged at being interrupted while feeding. And seeing that the annoying intruders were a group of low-level, unevolved Pokémon, it became even more impatient!
It roared in anger, flapped its wings, and in an instant, a burst of scorching electricity spread around.
It was trying to use its own intimidation to scare off these Pokémon that had invaded its territory!
Natsui then entered the power room and shouted at Zapdos: "Zapdos, risking your freedom, let's have a battle with all our might!"
Zapdos looked at Natsui haughtily, as if completely ignoring her.
"If that's the case, I'll take it as a yes." Natsui took out a Poké Ball and threw it into the air in her hand. "Kirlia, use Magical Leaf! Ivysaur, use Razor Leaf! Charmander, use Ember! Squirtle, use Water Gun! Everyone, attack together!"
At Natsui's command, all kinds of moves were instantly launched towards Zapdos, and thus began the great battle to capture Zapdos!
