What?
What the hell... Of course, you can't reply like that!
Julian chuckled as he read Sophie's message.
It seems this little girl is still fuming.
Though I'm not sure why she's upset, oh well!
Julian replied immediately: [Sophie, you said that if I could beat Rusty Stripe, you would do whatever I tell you. Now that I've done it, you don't know what to say?]
At that moment, Sophie was in her boudoir on the third floor, her heart racing as she read Julian's message.
I knew it! He's really bringing it up!
What should I do?
I can't go back on my word, right?
However, what if he asks for too much?
It's so late, and both of my parents are asleep. If he's looking for me now, he must have excessive demands in mind...
Sophie bit her lip, contemplating for a while, and then replied: [You help me deal with the Rusty Stripe mess, and in return, I can help you wash your clothes. Just don't wake up my parents. ]
What a clever way to dodge the issue!
Julian smiled and quickly sent a new message: [It's not about laundry. It's... Well, it's hard to explain through text. How about you come to my room gently, without waking up your parents?]
Reading Julian's message, the corner of Sophie's mouth twitched.
Lightly?
Seriously...
He really wants me to go to his room at this time of night?
Julian, Julian!
You bastard!
Fortunately, I always thought you were a charming nerd, but I didn't expect you to be such a hooligan underneath!
Sophie replied with a furious tone: [Do you think it's appropriate for me to come to your room at this hour?]
Julian responded: [Well, I could come to your room, but you're on the upper floor, right above your parents' room. If we make any noise, we might wake them up. ]
Sophie blushed instantly.
Julian! You know not to wake up my parents too!
You really want to do that to me! I'll go down and teach you a lesson!
I want you to know that I, Sophie, am not the easy girl you think I am!
Sophie took a deep breath to calm herself and responded: [You wait. ]
Julian replied: [Alright, I'll wait for you. Oh, and by the way... don't wear stockings. I might accidentally tear them. ]
Sophie couldn't help but shiver.
Excessive!
Unacceptable!
This shameless scoundrel!
Sophie grabbed a baseball bat from behind her door without changing out of her pajamas and tiptoed downstairs.
Once at Julian's door, she took a deep breath to control her anger, hiding the baseball bat behind her back. She gently opened the door.
Julian was surprised to see her so soon. "Sophie! You really keep your word. Time is short, so let's get started."
Sophie held the bat tightly and asked, "What do you want me to do?"
Julian instructed her to get down on the floor.
"What? You want me to do push-ups?" Her almond-shaped eyes widened in shock.
Julian spoke calmly, "The more straightforward, the better for this. Don't worry, the floor is clean. I made sure of it."
Sophie searched for an opportunity to attack with the baseball bat. Julian continued to explain the push-up technique as if they were about to start an exercise routine.
Julian explained the essentials of the movement to her: "After you lie down, support the ground with your arms, keep your shoulders, elbows, and wrists in a straight line, tighten your abdomen, straighten your back, and don't slump your waist or raise your butt. This type of push-up is considered standard. I guess this is your first time? If it's your first time, don't worry. Let's start with some simple ones."
Sophie held up a baseball bat, looking at him questioningly. Julian looked back and saw Sophie holding the baseball bat, raising an eyebrow in surprise.
Sophie asked in astonishment, "You called me to your room at night just to do push-ups?!"
Julian replied calmly, "Well, what did you expect?"
Sophie was livid, "You actually... just asked me to do push-ups?"
Julian moved swiftly, grabbing Sophie's slender wrist with his hand and said seriously, "I'm helping you! Push-ups can promote blood circulation in the chest, so you can develop normally. Isn't that a reasonable request?"
The corner of Sophie's mouth twitched, and she yelled frantically, "Are you still being reasonable with me? Julian! I'm going to kill you! I'm going to kill you!"
But she was no match for Julian's strength. Despite her efforts to break free, she remained in his grip.
Julian quickly covered Sophie's mouth, "Sophie, keep your voice down! You'll wake your parents!"
Sophie, unable to overpower him, bit Julian's hand instead.
Julian hissed in pain, "Sophie, be careful!"
Surprisingly, the system notification popped up: "You have received 100 negative emotion points from Sophie Turner. Talent bubbles are being generated..."
Julian couldn't believe it. He thought he'd have to wait until she begrudgingly finished 30 push-ups for this to happen. But here she was, with her emotions out of control, and the bubble appeared so easily!
Sophie, if you weren't misunderstanding me right now, I'd love to thank you for making this so easy!
A large red bubble appeared in front of them. It was more impressive than the blue ones from before. Julian excitedly stepped forward and tapped it with his toe.
The red bubble burst beautifully, and the light it contained rushed into Julian's body.
"You've picked up a talent point from a perfect bubble. The collection progress for today is 1/10."
"Reminder: Talent points can be added to any existing skill to increase its level or to the basic attributes of a profession to improve your own fundamental abilities."
What the hell! This talent point is amazing! Julian thought.
But before he could explore its possibilities further, he found himself in an awkward situation. Sophie's small waist had given way, and she was lying on the bed with Julian on top of her.
Her pretty face turned scarlet. "Julian, what are you doing? Get off me!" she exclaimed.
Julian offered help, "How about I assist you first?"
Sophie, flustered, pushed him away. "No need! You... get off me!"
Julian turned his back to give her privacy. "It's okay. I just made a mistake. I was going to grab the bedpost and missed. Besides, asking you to do push-ups is for your own good," he said reassuringly.
Sophie, with her buttons done up, stood up with her hair in disarray and her face as red as a tomato.
"Julian... I hate you," she murmured before picking up the baseball bat and preparing to leave.
Julian called out, "Sophie, are you leaving now? You promised to do whatever I asked."
The corner of her mouth twitched. "I'm tired today. We'll talk about it tomorrow."
Julian smiled, "Okay, same time tomorrow night. I'll be waiting."
Sophie left without looking back, and Julian couldn't help but sigh, "The potential is limitless."
