Chapter 11 - HP: Sacred Gear Chat Group - Chapter 45

"Are you sure you will be okay?" Shizuku asked as she looked at him through her glasses without showing any emotions. She generally doesn't emote a lot, often being perceived as apathetic or even soulless.

Although it doesn't mean she feels anything. Rather, her emotions were naturally blunted, unlike the other members of the Phantom Troupe, probably some kind of natural disorder.

Which made her a good fit for the Spider, who had been changed trough their past experiences.

"It will be fine; we already confirmed that it will work on the hypothetical TV!" Harry replied as he sat on his bed in the room they had rented in Masadora.

Masadora is the only town in the game that had magic shops selling spell cards. A crucial spot on the whole island and a regular hotspot that every player had to visit.

A perfect place to camp at and regularly rob players for their cards.

Since Harry replaces the memories of everyone of their victims, nobody had an idea how they were doing it. Sure, people began noticing that their cards were missing, especially the ones working in teams.

But Harry was shifting the blame on different players or teams with modified memories, allowing him and Shizuku pretty much to have free rein.

And the two of them had been busy over the last few weeks, gaining quite the collection of cards, including ranked ones. By robbing the different players, they had already collected a total of 81 numbered cards.

The two of them were splitting the numbered cards in between their two binders, and nobody had an idea that it was them who were robbing the players, so nobody could for sure tell that they had so many cards and were working together.

They even had built a monopoly on one card. This Card was the reason why they had turned Masadora into their base.

Angel's Breath.

A card that can restore any person to his peak condition, curing any illness and restoring all wounds.

This card could only exist three times in the game. Easy to create a monopoly on.

And it wasn't hard to collect, too. One only needed to collect all 40 Spell Cards in the game and trade them for it right here in Masadora. If the card limit has already been reached, one will receive a voucher instead that turns into a copy of the card as soon as it's possible.

Angel's Breath is one of the main cards Harry wanted to get in the game. For one, such a powerful healing ability wasn't something he wanted to miss.

He had already confirmed that he could analyze and replicate each of the cards and their abilities, but they were quite aura intensive to use, since they were a combination of a ton of Nen limitations and Nen inscriptions.

Each card and each object in the game was made out of Nen inscriptions on the inside, giving him a ton of insights on the new art too. Unfortunately, he couldn't replicate the Nen Inscriptions perfectly yet, since they require a certain level of mastery in the different Nen categories.

Probably all the game masters contribute to that so that the game functions. Harry remembers that Razor, one of the game masters, had mentioned in the manga that he was responsible for emission-type abilities.

Instead of replicating these items and abilities, he had to put in a ton of Aura instead of the Mastery and Limitations.

With his boost and the massive amount of Aura he was already possessing, it was no problem for him, although he couldn't spam them.

The second reason why he wanted to possess Angel's Breath was to make sure that nobody would be completing the game without him.

He wants the Card 000 - Ruler's Blessing. A card that gives one a castle, a whole town, and a population of 10,000 people.

Harry really wanted to know how that would look if he brought the card outside. Especially the people. Were these real people, or Nen Constructs that came alive through the specific limitations of having to complete the game?

That card and its ability were creating life or Nen beasts. No matter which, it would progress his mastery of Nen massively.

After all, by using limitations to create an ability, one could overcome insufficient mastery or knowledge. But Harry's analysis ability was analyzing the thing itself, not the existing knowledge of a person.

An ability that has been created with a ton of very strict limitations was even more useful than an ability that has been created through sheer power and training. After all, these abilities were often so complex that they were impossible to create with normal means.

This is a fact Harry had confirmed on Greed Island. After all, every card and item on the island has been created with very heavy and complex limitations.

A treasure trove of Nen abilities, all overpowered and beyond normal human capabilities. Once he had analyzed the whole thing, he would be, without a doubt, a Master of Nen.

It's an exploit of analysis he hadn't considered before.

So he had to keep a monopoly on Angel's Breath to ensure that he would collect all the abilities on the island.

If he could just keep the cards in his inventory, it would be much easier. Unfortunately, while he could store the cards in his inventory, the system maintaining the game would lose connection to the card since it is in a different dimension, outside of the game's threshold.

With that, it considers the card used up or destroyed, and the limit loses one card, making it as if the card didn't exist.

Even worse is that if he were to take the card out again, the Nen-based game system would consider the card a bug and directly destroy it.

Fortunately, that only happens inside the game.

Outside, if he were to take out the card or an item, he could use it. They had confirmed that by leaving the game with the 'Leave' spell card, allowing a player to leave the game.

While being outside, they had also caught up with the other members of the Phantom Troupe, who had stolen a few copies of the game, and figured it was in the real world. They were actually planning an expedition to find its real location.

Although Harry and Shizuku refused to join them, since they would lose all their cards if they didn't return to the game in 10 days.

It would invalidate all their efforts, and Harry still needed Shizuku's help for the third reason; he also needed Angel's Breath. A possibility that he had confirmed on the hypothetical TV that it would work.

She still held her Nen Vacuum Cleaner Blinky in her hand as she pointed it at him. "Okay, if you say so, then let's begin. Let's start with the safer thing first. Blinky sucked in the trace and all pieces of tracking magic on him."

Her vacuum cleaner began to make noises and rolled its two eyes as it began to suck in the air in front of him. Not just the air, Harry could feel a suction force pulling on something inside of him.

That must be the Trace, one of the biggest headaches from the Wizarding World for him. While it was unable to track his Sacred Gear, it was tracking all spells that he used if he wasn't around an adult wizard.

He knew that the theory that the Trace was placed on a Wizards Wand was wrong; Dobby, during his second year, disproved that theory. After all, the Elf didn't use his wand to cast the levitation charm on Aunt Petunia's dessert before his second year, and he still got a warning from the Ministry.

The trace was a controversial and obscure topic, which was hard to tell how exactly it worked. There were only a few facts he had been able to deduce. Like that, it was placed at the start of his first year in Hogwarts, right before their sorting when Professor McGonagall had made them wait in a side room beside the Great Hall, and he had never visited again.

Or that it doesn't detect or report spells while an adult wizard is around. After all, Voldemort was able to kill his father and his family while his uncle Morfin Gaunt was around. At least that was the theory; he only knew that Voldemort did it, not whether he had his uncle with him or had removed the trace by that point.

One thing is clear: the Trace was a massive hindrance to him, and it needed to go. He doesn't need a tracker that could maybe be repurposed to permanently track him.

As the suction became stronger, Harry felt his body burn up. Or rather, a burning feeling began to move inside him, trying to escape. Realizing what the problem was, Harry pulled Ben's knife out of his inventory and cut his skin on multiple spots.

White glowing magic flew out of these wounds right into Blinky.

The moment all of it was gone from his body, the vacuum cleaner stopped. "Do you need the healing now?"

Harry shook his head. "No, they will help with the next step: retrieve the Trace out of your ability."

Shizuku tapped the Switch and blew out a ball of white light from Blinky. She could always retrieve the last item that she had sucked in.

Pointing the palm of his hand at it, a purple-black energy spread out of his hand and encompassed the ball, making it disappear. "Okay, the next step now."
