🎬 Episode 7: "Is This Game Even Offline…?"
🌞 [Scene: Morning – Real World]
MC (rubbing eyes, yawning):
"Alright, time for school. Can't be late."
He grabs his bag, slings it over his shoulder, and steps outside, humming while walking.
MC (thinking):
"I can't wait to play Mystery Adventure later... man, that game's wild."
As he passes a group of students at the corner, their voices catch his attention.
Student A:
"Did you see that quest yesterday?!"
Student B (grumbling):
"Yeah, it was straight-up broken. Who the hell is even level 550+?"
Student C:
"Bruh, only Zetherion's close to that level."
MC (thinking, raising an eyebrow):
"Huh? New game release? Whatever. I'm grinding Mystery Adventure—don't care about other games for now."
He shrugs and hurries toward the school gates.
MC (hearing more game chatter as he enters):
"Bruh… if I hear about that broken world quest one more time, I'm logging out of reality."
He slumps through the school door, clearly annoyed.
MC:
"I already feel done with today."
📚 [Scene: Classroom – Before First Period]
Classmates are gathered near the window, excitedly chatting.
Student 1:
"You saw the prophecy, right? The one from Archangel Gabriel?!"
Student 2:
"Yeah, the Balance-breaking one! It's all over the forums!"
MC groans and plops down in his seat.
MC:
"Enough with this quest talk already…"
Suddenly, someone taps his shoulder.
Friend:
"Yo, why are you annoyed this early?"
MC leans back in his chair.
MC:
"Everyone's talking about some world event quest or whatever."
Friend (blinking):
"Oh, they're probably talking about Mystery Adventure."
MC (blinking):
"Wait... that was Mystery Adventure?"
Friend:
"Yeah. But I don't play that game. I'm more into FPS ranked grinds, you know?"
MC (smirking):
"Yeah, that checks out."
They both laugh. Then someone from another seat turns toward them.
Classmate:
"Wait—you play Mystery Adventure, right?"
MC:
"Yeah."
Friend (grinning):
"Bro, remember your dream yesterday? The frozen dragon lord thing? We laughed so hard!"
MC (facepalming):
"Don't remind me! It felt way too real, man…"
Friend (teasing):
"Yeah yeah, 'Huh? Is this a raid event?' or whatever you said—so dramatic."
Two friends laughs. Then his friend looks thoughtful.
Friend:
"Wait, you play that game… so why didn't you get the quest?"
MC (sighing):
"I did… but it was like a tutorial quest from hell. The level gap is insane."
Friend:
"That's wild. My siblings play that game—they're always in a party grinding bosses. It's annoying how much they talk about it."
MC (confused):
"Wait… your siblings play Mystery Adventure… together? Isn't it singleplayer?"
Friend:
"Nah, they're definitely playing together. We have two VR setups at home."
MC:
"...Huh. Okay. So your siblings co-op Mystery Adventure?"
Friend:
"Yeah, and they keep selling drops to other players or something."
MC (blinking harder):
"Wait… selling to other players? You mean… selling their accounts?"
Friend:
"No, like, items. In-game stuff."
MC (narrowing eyes):
"...Mystery Adventure is offline though. How would that even work?"
Friend:
"...Offline?"
Just then, the classroom door slams open.
📢 [Teacher enters — stern tone]
Teacher:
"Seats. Quiet. Open your modules to page 120. We're doing real problems today—not your fantasy nonsense."
Everyone scrambles back to their seats. The conversation dies instantly.
🕓 [Scene: After School – Front Gate]
Friend (waving):
"Yo, you coming with us to the net café?"
MC (jogging off):
"Nah—I got work. Later!"
🛒 [Scene: Convenience Store – MC's Shift]
MC (stacking snacks, muttering):
"Haaa… I just wanna get home and grind that singleplayer thing..."
The bell chimes. Two customers walk in, laughing.
Customer 1:
"Bro, that world quest was insane. The whole thing triggered a global notification!"
Customer 2:
"And that Descendant of ??? What is that?! Nuts."
MC (thinking, suddenly alert):
"Wait… they're talking about Mystery Adventure?"
The two approach the counter with drinks and snacks.
MC scans the items.
MC:
"That'll be 560 cents."
Customer hands over 600.
Customer:
"Keep the change."
MC (hesitating):
"Uh, wait—sorry to ask, but… were you two just talking about Mystery Adventure?"
Customer 1:
"Yeah, we just started yesterday. We're level 49 now—same pace."
MC (impressed):
"Whoa… that's way higher than me."
Customer 2:
"How about you? What's your level?"
MC (scratching head, embarrassed):
"Uhh… I kinda forgot to check?"
Both customers laugh.
Customer 1:
"It happens. Let's party up sometime—we can help out if you want."
MC (confused):
"Party… as in… voice chat?"
Customer 2's phone buzzes. He glances at the screen.
Customer 2:
"Ah, shoot—our boss is calling. We gotta go. See ya around!"
They leave in a rush.
MC (thinking):
"Wait… do they mean party like… in-game co-op? But this game's supposed to be singleplayer..."
⌛ [Scene: After Work – Nightfall]
MC (finally home):
"Alright. Time to grind this singleplayer thing."
