Li Yuan felt something strange when his consciousness interacted with Chaos Qi.
It wasn't just the understanding of "pure possibility" that he had found. There was something deeper, more fundamental—a premonition that emerged from the depths of his intuition, which couldn't be explained by logic.
This Qi will be important for the future.
The insight came suddenly, like a bolt of lightning in the dark. It wasn't a thought that was analyzed, but a direct knowing—like someone who is suddenly certain that it will rain even though the sky is still clear.
Li Yuan didn't know why he was so sure about this. Chaos Qi, in its current form, was almost useless for anything. It was an unpredictable energy that couldn't be directed and more often created confusion than clarity.
But there was something about its nature as "pure possibility" that whispered about an unrevealed potential.
The future of the world will depend on the understanding of this energy.
Li Yuan didn't know where this certainty came from. Maybe from the part of him that had lived for eleven thousand years and developed an intuition that transcended normal reasoning. Maybe from the resonance between the chaos in his mind and the chaos in the energy itself.
He knew only one thing: Chaos Qi wasn't just one of his seventeen understandings. Chaos Qi was the key to something much bigger.
But I can't do anything with it right now.
A familiar frustration emerged within him. It was like seeing a treasure behind a pane of glass that couldn't be broken. Like hearing beautiful music from a distance too far to enjoy it fully.
Li Yuan tried to experiment with Chaos Qi, trying to direct it, trying to shape it into something useful. But every attempt ended in the same failure—the energy always changed into something different from what he wanted, or disappeared altogether.
Maybe the problem isn't with the Qi, but with my understanding of how to use it.
Li Yuan contemplated the nature of Chaos Qi once again. Pure possibility. Infinite potential without a definite form.
Maybe the problem was that he was still trying to treat Chaos Qi like ordinary energy—something that could be directed and controlled with willpower and technique.
But what if the correct approach was the opposite? What if Chaos Qi should be allowed to be itself, and the cultivator could only... participate in its chaos?
Or maybe... maybe this Qi needs to be divided.
The idea suddenly appeared in his chaotic mind. Like a flash of insight that came from nowhere but felt right.
Chaos Qi as a single entity was too... uncontrollable. Too pure in its uncertainty. But what if the energy could be separated into more specific aspects? What if "pure possibility" could be divided into more manageable categories of possibility?
Chaos Qi...
Li Yuan tried to imagine how this division could work. Perhaps this large, uncontrollable Chaos Qi could be separated into several smaller streams of energy, each with a more specific chaotic characteristic.
One stream for creative chaos—chaos that gave birth to new ideas and unexpected possibilities.
One stream for destructive chaos—chaos that destroyed old structures to make room for new ones.
One stream for transformative chaos—chaos that changed something into something completely different.
But how could he separate an energy that was fundamentally "pure possibility"?
Li Yuan felt that he was standing on the threshold of a great insight, but he didn't have the key to open the door yet.
Maybe he needed to understand the nature of chaos itself more deeply. Maybe he needed to reach a higher level of cultivation. Maybe he needed to find a completely different technique or approach from everything he had ever tried.
Or maybe I need to change first.
Li Yuan felt that the experiment with Chaos as his Core Consciousness had changed something within him. His way of thinking became more fluid, more adaptive, more comfortable with uncertainty.
Maybe this change was the necessary preparation to eventually be able to work with Chaos Qi in a more effective way.
Understanding requires depth, not speed.
Li Yuan reminded himself of the principle that had guided him for thousands of years. Every meaningful insight required time to mature. Every true breakthrough only came when the cultivator was truly ready to accept it.
I have seventeen understandings. One in the Wenjing realm, sixteen still in Ganjing. Endless possibilities for exploration and growth.
Li Yuan felt a calming perspective. He didn't have to rush to master Chaos Qi right now. There were still many other understandings that could grow, many other insights that could be found.
Perhaps when the Understanding of Chaos (which was different from Chaos Qi) reached a higher realm, he would gain a deeper understanding of how to work with the chaotic energy.
Perhaps when some of his other understandings also ascended realms, he would have a more solid foundation for experimenting with the unpredictable energy.
Perhaps when he reached realms he hadn't even imagined, the true nature of Chaos Qi would reveal itself.
What was important now was to continue to grow. To continue to deepen. To continue to be open to possibility.
Li Yuan felt a paradoxical peace in his mental chaos. Although his mind moved in an unpredictable pattern, there was a clear, underlying sense of direction.
He knew where he wanted to go, even though he didn't know exactly how to get there.
He knew that Chaos Qi would be important, even though he didn't know exactly why or how.
He knew that the future would bring challenges and opportunities he had never imagined, and he needed to continue preparing by deepening his understanding of all the aspects of the Dao he had touched.
Seventeen understandings. Infinite possibilities. One journey that never truly ends.
In the Realm of Questions, surrounded by the landscapes of all his understandings, with Chaos as his Core Consciousness that made everything fluid and unpredictable, Li Yuan felt a deep excitement about what was to come.
The future was a mystery. But it was a mystery he was eager to explore, one insight at a time.
The journey continued. And in that continuation, Li Yuan found the most profound meaning.
