Given Shukaku's furious, high-speed movements, Sage Art: Gate of the Great God was temporarily unusable; Kouki needed to incapacitate Shukaku first.
This was simple. He stood his ground, unmoving, making no attempt to dodge.
When Shukaku charged, Kouki's eyes glowed, and his Susanoo materialized. With a casual kick, he sent the enraged beast flying.
"Roar!"
Shukaku proved far more durable than Gamabunta.
While Gamabunta had been incapacitated by a single blow, Shukaku, after a brief tumble, was still very much active.
Shukaku opened its mouth, gathering immense energy for a Tailed Beast Ball, which it launched towards the Susanoo.
The Susanoo was, of course, more than capable of withstanding Shukaku's Tailed Beast Ball, but there was no need for a direct confrontation; it would be a waste of chakra.
From within the Susanoo, Kouki threw a Kamui shuriken at the Tailed Beast Ball.
A spatial vortex appeared, instantly transporting the Tailed Beast Ball to another dimension. The attack was effortlessly neutralized.
Kouki then controlled the Susanoo to deliver a powerful slash, felling Shukaku. Seizing the opportunity, he brought his foot down.
Boom!
Shukaku was instantly pinned beneath the Susanoo's foot, treated like a mere toy.
Shukaku struggled and roared, but it was helpless, unable to escape. Its roars grew weaker and more desperate.
Within moments, Shukaku was completely exhausted. Even Gamabunta, who had engaged Shukaku in combat, would agree that Shukaku wasn't particularly strong among the tailed beasts.
After subduing Shukaku, Kouki calmly deactivated his Susanoo. Shukaku lay motionless on the ground, completely incapacitated.
Kouki activated Sage Mode, calmly forming hand seals. "Sage Art: Gate of the Great God!"
Whoosh, whoosh, whoosh!
Several red torii gates descended from the sky, completely sealing Shukaku to the ground.
Kouki clapped his hands, clearly pleased with the outcome.
According to the system, maintaining this state for thirty minutes would create a "Shukaku Location" check-in point.
Tailed beasts possess remarkable regenerative abilities. Within twenty minutes, Shukaku, nearly incapacitated moments before, had fully recovered its energy.
However, Gate of the Great God, a sealing technique specifically designed to suppress tailed beasts' chakra, effectively restrained Shukaku. It was unable to break free.
"Ten more minutes, and 'Shukaku Location' will be officially generated!" Kouki's eyes shone with anticipation.
Swish, swish, swish!
Several figures suddenly appeared—Rasa and several Sunagakure ninjas, having tracked Kouki.
"What in the world…?"
Rasa and his team were completely dumbfounded by the scene before them.
Shukaku, the One-Tailed beast, had been captured?
As Sunagakure ninjas, they were well aware of Shukaku's immense power.
Seeing a man calmly sitting beside the restrained beast filled them with shock and bewilderment. The scene was utterly bizarre.
It was Shukaku! This casual demeanor was utterly inappropriate.
"It's the Kazekage. This makes things slightly more complicated,"
Kouki glanced at them, acknowledging the complication but remaining outwardly calm and unfazed.
"Don't misunderstand. I have no intention of harming Shukaku. In ten minutes, I'll return him."
"…"
Kouki genuinely intended to return Shukaku to Rasa once the "Shukaku Location" check-in point was generated. He had no intention of keeping the beast. His only goal was to complete the check-in.
Unfortunately, Rasa and his team were highly unlikely to believe him.
In their eyes, Kouki appeared to be attempting to exploit Sunagakure's tailed beast!
"I don't care what your intentions are. Return Shukaku immediately, or I will be forced to attack!"
Rasa stared intently at Kouki, his voice low and menacing.
"Kazekage, don't rush. Sunagakure ninjas are all here; I can't escape. Why not wait ten minutes?"
"If I don't return Shukaku, then you can attack. If I do, we avoid a pointless conflict."
Kouki shrugged, his demeanor casual and almost dismissive.
"Kazekage-sama, be wary; he's stalling," Maki whispered to Rasa, expressing his concern.
Such a transparent stalling tactic was insulting. Did he really think they were fools? It was an affront to their intelligence.
Kouki: …
From Sunagakure's perspective, his actions did indeed appear to be a blatant attempt at stalling.
Kouki could only sigh inwardly. No matter how he explained it, Rasa and his team wouldn't believe him. He could only wait and see how the situation unfolded.
