Shisui's Kotoamatsukami is excellent, but its incredibly long cooldown is a major frustration for Danzō.
Becoming Hokage requires influencing countless individuals, not just a select few; Kotoamatsukami's limited uses are insufficient for his ambitions.
However, Kouki's eyes would catapult Danzō to the peak of power in Konoha, far surpassing the simple manipulation of a few minds. This would be far more advantageous.
"And Uchiha Kouki… besides his dōjutsu, there's that unbelievable taijutsu!"
Danzō's excitement grew, his ambition burning brighter.
"Danzō-sama, the Hokage requests your presence."
A Root member interrupted his fervent contemplation.
"That hypocritical Sarutobi Hiruzen. He pretends tolerance towards the Uchiha in public, but his fear of the Sharingan is no less than my own!"
Danzō sneered, instantly understanding Hiruzen's intentions. Hiruzen had undoubtedly received reports of his encounter with Kouki and was seeking information.
"I can't let Hiruzen know Kouki awakened the Mangekyō Sharingan. If he knows I'm after those eyes, I'll face significant obstacles."
Danzō frowned, making a swift decision. He formed a hand seal and expelled a clump of earth from his mouth, creating an earth clone.
But he remained uneasy. Hiruzen was the Hokage; there was a chance the clone could be detected. He considered this, then used a Vacuum Wave to inflict a shallow wound on his palm, smearing his blood onto the earth clone.
He then applied a specialized sealing technique, completely sealing the blood within the clone, finally feeling reassured. The clone now perfectly mimicked Danzō's scent and chakra signature, achieving a convincing deception.
The earth clone then left the Root base undetected and arrived at the Hokage's office.
"Danzō, you've tested Kouki. What were your findings?" Sarutobi Hiruzen, without preamble, took a puff of his pipe and asked directly, cutting to the chase.
"I've assessed him. Uchiha Kouki possesses incredibly powerful taijutsu; even my elite Root jōnin were no match for him."
Danzō replied, omitting the terrifying black flames from his report. He was being deliberately deceptive.
"Oh? Such taijutsu exists?" Sarutobi Hiruzen expressed surprise, having initially assumed Kouki had used some form of genjutsu trickery.
"It's a taijutsu that temporarily unleashes the body's potential, but it's a reckless, unsustainable technique," Danzō downplayed, subtly diminishing its significance and implying inherent weaknesses.
Sarutobi Hiruzen fell into thought. With his vast knowledge, he understood that no technique grants effortless power; such methods always have fatal flaws.
Kouki, a genin just half a year ago, now possessed chunin-level skill, at least. For a chunin to exhibit jōnin-level taijutsu, there must be a significant cost.
"Did he awaken the Mangekyō Sharingan?" Hiruzen pressed further.
"He didn't use any genjutsu throughout the encounter," Danzō answered, again avoiding the crucial detail, misleading Hiruzen without outright lying.

Uchiha Kouki had expected his use of Amaterasu to reveal his Sharingan, but days passed without any repercussions from Konoha's leadership.
It was as if his use of Amaterasu against Danzō never happened.
"It can't be that my sunglasses prevented Danzō from seeing my eye changes, preventing him from deducing Amaterasu was a dōjutsu,"
Kouki mused to himself, knowing Danzō wasn't that naive. Considering Danzō's obsession with the Sharingan, Kouki quickly understood the old man's intentions.
"That old fox is deliberately concealing my Sharingan. He… wants my Sharingan for himself?"
A cold glint appeared in Kouki's eyes. If Danzō truly dared to make a move, he would destroy Root and kill Danzō himself.
Unconsciously, Kouki's steps slowed, his figure coming to a stop before the Hokage Memorial.
"System, check-in here!"
Kouki accessed the system and performed a check-in.
"Ding! Congratulations, host. Check-in successful. Reward: Gunbai!"
"This item has been added to your system inventory."
The Gunbai, also known as the Gunbai Uchiwa, was one of Madara Uchiha's signature weapons, forged from a piece of the God Tree, capable of the infamous "Uchiha Reversal" technique. Madara used it to deflect even Naruto's Tailed Beast Bomb. It was a legendary weapon.
However, after Madara's death, the fan fell into Obito's hands, only returning to Madara after his revival.
"This was taken by Madara when he left Konoha; it's not suitable to use now."
"It'll have to remain in the system inventory for a while."
After checking in at the Hokage Memorial, Kouki continued his patrol, completing his daily duties.
Kouki, as usual, planned to eat ramen at Ichiraku and then train.
But on his way, he was stopped. By Kurenai Yūhi.
"Kouki, are you alright?"
Kurenai examined him carefully, checking for injuries.
Kouki understood her concern. He shrugged, appearing relaxed and slightly amused. "You all act like this; you seriously underestimate me, as if Sarutobi Asuma could actually do anything to me."
"Thank goodness, you're unharmed," Kurenai breathed a sigh of relief.
"Of course, I'm fine. Didn't you hear the rumors? I beat Asuma like a dog," Kouki said with a smirk.
"That's why I'm so worried. Kouki, you didn't awaken the Sharingan, did you?" Her concern was palpable.
