Chapter 224 - Chapter 224

"As for Shiki... he has completely submitted to Ron and become his subordinate."

The moment those words left Sengoku's lips, they exploded through the conference room like a cannon blast.

Gasps echoed across the chamber

Faces turned pale, eyes wide with disbelief.

"Shiki... you mean that Shiki? The Flying Pirate Admiral?!" one vice admiral blurted out, unable to contain his shock.

Sengoku nodded, his expression grave, his voice steady but heavy with tension.

"That's right. Not only has his strength returned to its peak, but he may be even stronger than before... and now, he's chosen to side with Ron."

The room erupted into chaos.

Murmurs and exclamations filled the air, bouncing off the steel walls like the roar of a storm.

Shiki — the Golden Lion.

The man who once stood alongside Gol D. Roger and Whitebeard as an equal.

His very name carried the weight of legends.

And now, he had bowed to Ron.

"This can't be! Why would Shiki—of all people—choose to serve him?!" another vice admiral slammed the table, his voice rising with anger and disbelief.

"What could Ron have possibly offered him?!"

Sengoku's brow furrowed as he exhaled slowly.

"The reasons are... not hard to imagine. According to Aokiji's intelligence, Ron healed Shiki's injuries—and even granted him greater power. His recovery has been extraordinary."

The words dropped like stones into still water, and silence rippled across the room.

Every heart present was weighed down by unease.

Ron's power... his influence... had grown far beyond what any of them had anticipated.

The creation of the Eternal Kingdom was not just audacious—it was a direct challenge to the authority of the World Government itself.

"Fleet Admiral Sengoku!" Vice Admiral Momonga stood up sharply, anger blazing in his eyes.

"We can't just stand here and do nothing! Building a kingdom near Enies Lobby is an insult—to the Marines and the World Government alike! We must act at once!"

Vice Admiral Onigumo nodded grimly.

"Agreed. Ron's ambitions are clear now. We must tighten our surveillance and send reinforcements to Water 7 immediately—before things spiral any further."

Before Sengoku could respond, a familiar voice cut through the tension.

"Oi, Sengoku!"

Garp rose suddenly from his seat, stuffing the rest of his rice crackers into his mouth and swallowing with a crunch.

He wiped his hands, eyes glinting with excitement rather than concern.

"Let me go, yeah? We can't let idiots like Shiki and Ron rampage around like this!"

Sengoku's gaze lifted to meet his.

He hesitated for a moment.

Garp's strength was beyond question—but Ron and Shiki together... not to mention the shadow of Whitebeard looming behind them...

After a long silence, he finally replied in a low voice.

"Garp... you can go. But be cautious. Kuzan is already nearby—coordinate with him. If the situation becomes dangerous, retreat immediately. Understood?"

Garp grinned, waving his hand dismissively.

"Maa, maa, no need to worry so much! I didn't even get to go all out last time. This'll be a good warm-up for my fists, eh? I'll smash that old lion's mane flat!"

Sengoku sighed, shaking his head helplessly.

"Yare yare... you never change, do you?"

But he didn't stop him.

Once Garp had made up his mind, no one—not even the Fleet Admiral—could dissuade him.

....

When the meeting concluded, Garp immediately led an elite detachment and set sail for Water 7.

The sea breeze whipped against his face as a faint, eager grin tugged at his lips.

It had been a long time since he'd felt this kind of excitement.

On the observation deck of Marine Headquarters, Sengoku watched as Garp's warship shrank into the horizon.

A flicker of relief passed through him—but it didn't last long.

"Fleet Admiral Sengoku!"

An adjutant burst into the room, panting heavily, his face pale with alarm.

"Something terrible has happened!"

Sengoku frowned deeply. "What is it? Speak clearly."

The adjutant took a shaky breath.

"A man named Marshall D Teach has appeared outside Headquarters... He's captured the rising rookie pirate, Straw Hat Luffy—says he wants to hand him over to the Marines... in exchange for becoming one of the Seven Warlords!"

Sengoku froze.

For a brief moment, even he seemed unable to process the words.

"What... did you just say? Luffy?! Garp's grandson?!"

The adjutant nodded miserably.

"Yes, Fleet Admiral. That Straw Hat Luffy. Teach has already brought him here—he's waiting outside right now."

For several seconds, Sengoku could only stare, the veins in his forehead throbbing.

Garp had just left to fight pirates—and now his grandson was being delivered to Headquarters in chains?!

Unbelievable. Absolutely unbelievable.

If this wasn't handled carefully, Garp might very well turn the entire Marineford into rubble with his bare fists.

"Fleet Admiral Sengoku, what should we do?" the adjutant asked nervously.

Sengoku took a long breath and forced his voice steady.

"Bring Teach in. I'll deal with him personally."

The adjutant saluted and hurried out.

Sengoku remained standing, his shoulders heavy with dread.

"This... this is going to be troublesome," he muttered under his breath.

Moments later, the office door opened with a loud creak.

Teach swaggered in with that crooked grin plastered across his face.

His laughter echoed off the marble walls—loud, confident, and utterly grating.

"Zehahaha! Fleet Admiral Sengoku, it's an honor to finally meet ya! I, Blackbeard, have brought you Straw Hat Luffy—alive! And in return... I'd like to take up the title of one of the Seven Warlords!"

Behind him, Luffy was bound tightly, but his face carried the same vacant, carefree look as always—almost as if he didn't even care he'd been captured.

Sengoku's eyes narrowed.

His patience was wearing thin.

Of all the people Teach could have caught, he just had to bring Garp's grandson.

"'Blackbeard' Marshall D Teach," Sengoku said coldly, "I'll consider your request. But understand this—the title of Warlord isn't something that can be handed out lightly."

Teach chuckled, waving his massive hand as if brushing the concern away.

"Zehahaha! Don't worry, Fleet Admiral! Moria's gone, Big Mom crushed him like a bug! Someone's gotta fill the spot, right? And there's no one more worthy than me!"

Sengoku's jaw tightened.

He said nothing, though his silence spoke volumes.

Teach simply grinned wider.

"Trust me, Fleet Admiral. I'll serve the Marines faithfully. You won't regret this—zehahahaha!"

Sengoku's eyes flashed with cold fury, but he merely gestured for the adjutant to take Teach away.

The man was a ticking time bomb—but for now, they had no choice.

As the door closed, Sengoku turned his gaze toward Luffy, his expression softening.

"Luffy... Garp's grandson..." he whispered, a weary sigh escaping him. "This situation is going to explode sooner or later..."

He rubbed his temples, feeling a dull ache behind his eyes.

Between Ron's kingdom, Shiki's return, and now this absurd turn of events—the seas were moving toward chaos faster than ever.

And the Marines...had to find a way to survive the coming storm.
