Chapter 193: Blade
Firefly paced back and forth restlessly, occasionally glancing at the tightly closed door. "What are they even talking about? What if Elio can't convince him? What if he really leaves…?"
Kafka, meanwhile, leisurely sipped her red wine. "Firefly, if you keep pacing like that, you'll wear a hole in the floor."
Firefly stopped, her gaze still drifting towards the door. "Kafka, aren't you worried at all?"
"Worried about what? About Orion leaving?" Kafka gently swirled her wine glass. "Don't worry. He won't leave."
"How can you be so sure?"
Kafka curved her lips into a smile. "Stellaron Hunters… everyone has something they seek. Whether it's you, me, or Blade… it's all the same. Some things, once lost, one will spend their entire life searching for. And Elio… just happens to know what he's looking for."
Just then, click. The door opened.
Firefly immediately turned, staring nervously. Orion walked out. His expression was calm, but deep in his eyes… something seemed to have changed. Firefly wanted to speak, but was afraid to hear the answer.
However, Orion acted as if nothing had happened, stretching lazily. "After talking for so long, I'm a bit hungry. Want to go to the restaurant together?"
"…Huh?" Firefly was completely stunned. Didn't this man just say he wanted to quit?
"Wait, wait a minute!" she quickly caught up to him. "What's the result? How did your talk with Elio go?"
"Oh, that." Orion stopped. "I've decided to stay."
Firefly's eyes widened, and for a moment, she didn't know how to react. Kafka couldn't help but chuckle. "Welcome back to the Stellaron Hunters, Orion." She raised her wine glass. "It seems this performance has gained another interesting actor."
In the restaurant, the atmosphere was just right. Firefly finally relaxed, using her fork to pick up a piece of meat for Orion. He was about to eat it when he suddenly froze. Wait… Firefly just ate with that fork, didn't she? Is this… an indirect kiss?
"What are you staring at?" Firefly urged carelessly. "Eat more."
"Oh, my." Kafka watched the scene with interest. She elegantly cut a piece of steak and brought it to Orion's mouth with her own fork. "I'll also take care of our newcomer." His gaze fell on the steak, and he was momentarily stunned. On it… there seemed to be a faint trace of lipstick.
This woman is definitely doing it on purpose!
Both beautiful women were waiting for his reaction. Orion took a deep breath. Forget it. He picked up his cutlery and ate the food they had given him, bite by bite. His movements were calm, without the slightest hesitation.
Just in this ambiguous atmosphere—Boom! The restaurant door was violently kicked open. A black-haired, red-eyed man stood in the doorway, holding a cracked ancient sword. His crimson eyes, after sweeping the restaurant, suddenly fixed on Orion.
He froze for a moment. The next second, his pupils constricted, and madness erupted in his eyes! "Found him… finally found him!" he murmured, a morbid smile curving his lips. "The eyes… that can kill everything!"
Before his words finished, he had already lunged! His speed was astonishing. The cracked sword went straight for Orion's throat! So fast!
Clang—! In the nick of time, you grabbed the knife and fork at hand, crossing them to block the fatal sword strike. Crack! The ordinary cutlery instantly shattered. But this momentary block was enough. Orion used the force to retreat. The black-haired man sneered, swinging his sword again!
