Chapter 1 - Blood and bone

CHAPTER 1: BLOOD AND BONE

The Red Fang Rises

---

[Scene 1 – Twelve Years Ago: Ashes of the Old World]

The sky burned like an open wound.

Dagger Hollow, once a peaceful village of stone paths and wooden towers, now groaned beneath fire and ruin. Black smoke choked the heavens, and the ground trembled under the weight of something unholy. Screams echoed from burning rooftops, drowned by the crash of collapsing homes.

In the middle of it all, a boy knelt in silence.

Evander Hanagaki, ten years old, face smeared in soot and ash, hid behind a crumbled archway. His eyes—wide, golden-red—reflected the flames ahead. What he saw was burned into memory forever.

His father—Kaien Hanagaki—stood tall, proud, and bloodied. His long black cloak fluttered in the rising heat, and his chest bore the mark of a deep wound.

Facing him was a man cloaked in bones—Thorne, the 8th Commandment of Dreadbone. His skeletal armor shimmered with cursed glyphs, and from his back grew pale bone wings, spread like a vulture.

>

SHUNK.

Thorne's bone blade plunged into Kaien's chest.

Blood sprayed. Time stopped.

> Evander (whispers):

"...Father?"

Kaien's body crumpled.

The sky, for a moment, seemed to fall silent. No screams. No flames. Just the sound of a boy's soul cracking.

> Evander (screaming):

"NOOOOOO!!"

Thorne turned and vanished into the mist.

And with that, the old world ended.

---

[Scene 2 – Present Day: Ruins of Dagger Hollow]

Twelve years later, and Dagger Hollow still reeked of death.

What remained was a skeleton of a village—stone rubble and burned wood, overgrown with thornweed. The air was heavy with silence.

A lone figure walked among the ruins.

Evander Hanagaki, now 18, eyes sharp like twin blades, walked slowly through the place where his life was stolen. His dark crimson hair was longer now, tied behind him, and his back bore two curved katanas—blood-forged, their surface etched with pulsating veins.

Crimson mist trailed him with every step. His coat swayed in the dying wind.

He stopped near a scorched boulder where his father once fell.

> Evander (softly):

"This is where the blood began to boil…"

He knelt and touched the dirt. Red steam hissed where his fingers met the earth.

> Evander:

"I still hear your voice, old man. Still smell the ash on your cloak."

Suddenly—he felt it. A shift in the air. A presence… ancient and cruel.

---

[Scene 3 – The Exiled Commandment Appears]

From the shattered remains of the town's temple, the shadows twisted. A figure stepped forward—tall, robed in jagged black, with a mask shaped like a cracked clock.

Name: Vaelrex

Title: The Broken Clock

*Ex-3rd Commandment of Decay

His arms were mummified, wrapped in bandages and rusted chains. Gear fragments turned in his back like dying engines.

> Vaelrex (voice like sand):

"So this is the brat the Zeroth tried to protect…"

Evander stood.

> Evander:

"You're no Commandment. Just another ghost."

> Vaelrex:

"I was cast out... but I remember his bloodline. And I remember yours."

The ground cracked beneath Vaelrex's feet. Time itself bent around him. Blades of rusted time erupted from the dirt.

> Vaelrex:

"I'll make you decay. Bone, blood, memory, soul."

> Evander (drawing both blades):

"Try."

---

[Scene 4 – Blood Unleashed]

BOOM!

They clashed. A red storm met a dying clock.

Evander's twin blades screamed as they met Vaelrex's rusted chains. Blood arcs spun like scythes, cutting through slowed time.

> Evander (shouting):

"Bloodline Sever — First Pulse!"

The attack split the temple in half. But Vaelrex froze the blood mid-air, turning it to red dust.

> Vaelrex (grinning):

"Time devours all, even cursed steel."

CLANG! CRACK!

Evander was fast, but Vaelrex was cheating—every slash came too late. His body felt heavier. Slower. The Decay was spreading.

> Vaelrex (laughing):

"You're a mistake, Red Cub. You bleed like the rest."

Suddenly—

Evander's body began to glow red. His blood mist turned to flames.

> Evander (voice shaking):

"If time eats everything… THEN I'LL BURN THROUGH TIME!!"

BLOOD DOMINION – AWAKENING!

Crimson veins erupted from his back. The ground cracked. The blades in his hands surged with red lightning.

> Evander (roars):

"SECOND PULSE — RED VEIN FANG!!"

He thrust both blades forward. A spiraling blood drill exploded from the blades, piercing through Vaelrex's gears.

> Vaelrex (shocked):

"This blood… it's divine...!"

BOOOOOOM!!!

The temple detonated. Blood waves crashed like tsunamis. When the smoke cleared, Vaelrex was gone—dead or fleeing.

Evander collapsed to one knee, steaming.

---

[Scene 5 – The Red Fang Rises]

The villagers, watching from the cliffs, whispered. One child pointed.

> Child:

"His blades... they were bleeding."

> Woman (hushed):

"He cut through the storm... like a fang…"

> Old Man:

"A red fang... sent by the blood gods…"

From that day, the name Red Fang spread like wildfire.

---

[Scene 6 – The Black Halos Arrive]

Later. Sunset.

Footsteps echo through the ruins.

Raigo Kain, Captain of the Black Halos, crouches beside a burned stone and studies the bloodstains.

Behind him stand seven warriors. Kaelra. Rokku. Myra. Elira. Derrin.

> Raigo (smirking):

"He survived an Ex-Commandment… and scarred the land doing it."

He turns to the others.

> Raigo:

"Let's bring in our little Red Fang before someone else does."

Lightning cracks as the Black Halos vanish into the mist…
