Dana tilted her head, a taunting smile tugging at her lips. She hadn't expected this—not the blonde omega standing before her, spattered in blood, nor the brutal way she had dispatched her guard. To bash someone's head in with a paperweight, over and over, until nothing was left but silence... that took a kind of ruthless resolve Dana almost admired.

Alice's glare was ice-cold as she stepped forward, her voice trembling with fury. "Where is Jacob? Where's my brother? Tell me—before I kill you."
Dana's smile deepened, deceptively sweet. She gave a slow, deliberate shake of her head. "I don't know. But someone's feeling awfully confident, aren't they?" She gestured at Alice's bloodstained clothes. "Look at you. Oof—so much preparation! You look like a soldier marching off to war."
