A young woman was thrashing in her bed as if experiencing some kind of nightmare. She was sweating heavily; her whole dress was drenched in sweat. Suddenly, her eyes snapped open. She sat up in a daze.
She whispered, "Why am I alive?" Her tone was full of disbelief and confusion. At that moment, she realized that her voice was different.
"What happened to my voice?!"
She looked down at her chest and found two mounds obstructing her vision. Terrified, she touched her lower part missing with trembling hands, only to find out it to be missing. Jumping out of her bed, she ran towards the mirror. A young woman with a very beautiful face, blonde hair, and dark green eyes was looking at her. Her entire figure was too thin and malnourished.
At that moment, her head started to hurt as if it would burst out any second. Clutching her head, she grabbed the dressing table near her, to stabilize herself.
"Alice..." hissed the young woman.
Fuck! I thought it were just stories! To think, I will be reincarnated in my friend's novel... I may be damned as well.
Alice walked towards her bed, and sat on it. She took a deep breath and analysed her situation. Her room... house... judging by the dimensions, was a small one. Too small, in fact. The tiles were broken, even darkened with dirt and other things. The walls were cracked and the colouring was almost gone. There was a kitchen, and a bathroom... nothing else.
There is no bedroom. 'She' sleeps here... in the living room. Was 'she' mad? Her condition of living is pathetic. She used up all her savings to buy this 'dump.' What a mess! And now, I am 'her.' Great. First, I became a woman and then, reincarnated as 'her.' God would have been merciful if he had killed me instead.

The novel mostly dealt with romance. The body, I am currently inhabiting is the body of a villainess, who obstructed the path of the heroine, only for her to be killed by one of her suitors.
Alice shivered remembering the fate of the body she was in. Her head was cutoff and thrown in the river.
Nah, I will just stay away from the plot. Involving with them will get me killed and I don't want that. Being a woman... I don't care... as for being an omega, that can too go to hell for all I care. I will just stay single.
A sense of sadness washed over her when she remembered how easily Kaeye abandoned her. Alice shook her head and sighed.

Alice closed her eyes and closed the fridge's door with a thud. Turning, she slumped against the fridge, slowly sitting on the ground with her hands covering her face.
The sheer desperation I am feeling... I don't know what to say. Oh, fuck it! I need that damn job! Fuck the plot! Right now, I need something to go on. And this job, I need it. I was a man before; there is no way in the hell I will ever like a man. So, fuck it! Emma? You can keep your lovers to yourself. There is no way that I am going to like any of them.
Alice stood up and walked towards the table where her letter was sitting on. Desperation always would be the 'point of curvature' for a human. No immunity. No prevention. Nothing.
Right now, I am desperate. My 'body' is as good as a piece of shit. I need some money to go no. Without it, I will not survive. So, I have to accept this job. When I am a bit stable, I can leave.
