Morris's POV
Dorothy had barely scratched the surface of her revelations, and I could already feel my world beginning to tilt on its axis.
"I discovered ages ago that Irina and Eddie have been involved in an affair," she stated plainly. My mouth fell open in shock. "They've been carrying on this inappropriate relationship for about a decade now. I accidentally caught them kissing in the fire escape one day. I found it disgusting—both of them married and all—but I figured it wasn't my place to intervene. It's their personal business. Though I frequently spot them embracing or her phoning him. They're unaware that I know—they've never noticed me watching. After all, I'm just the coffee lady, practically invisible to them, right?"
"Never to me, Dorothy," I squeezed her hand reassuringly. "And certainly not to Darren or Paula either."
