Morris's POV
I remained frozen in the conference room, watching Monica flee after kissing me with such intensity it left me breathless. The door slammed behind her, and I stared at it, completely dazed.
Darren and Grady's entrance snapped me back to reality. That kiss – her response to me – confirmed everything I needed to know. Her body had trembled against mine. The chemistry between us was undeniable. She might be furious, but she still cared.
"Monica just bolted out of here like she saw a ghost," Grady remarked, eyebrow raised.
I couldn't help the smile spreading across my face. "She loves me. She's hurt and angry, but she loves me."
Darren crossed his arms. "Care to fill us in on what happened, lover boy?"
"We kissed," I said simply. "And it wasn't just any kiss. I'm certain she still has feelings for me. I'm not giving up on her."
