Elena stared at Damian, her heart pounding. "You want me to face Viktor Krolov? Are you insane?"
Damian shook his head. "We don't have a choice. Viktor won't stop until he destroys us both. We need to confront him on our terms."
"This isn't my world, Damian," Elena whispered. "I'm a lawyer, not… whatever you are."
He stepped closer, taking her trembling hands in his. "You're stronger than you think," he said softly. "And I'll be with you every step of the way."
Elena drew a shaky breath, looking into his determined eyes. Somewhere deep down, she knew he was right.
That night, they prepared. Damian armed his security team while Elena gathered every document linking Viktor to illegal activities. They would hit him with everything—legally and strategically.
As they drove to Viktor's estate, Elena clutched Damian's hand. "If this goes wrong…"
