Chapter 1 - lover or killer

Ishaani sat on the cold prison floor, counting the final hours of her life. By dawn, she would be executed—punished for a crime she didn't commit. The world believed she had slaughtered her own family. But the truth was far worse.

Ishaani was just an ordinary middle-class girl—the kind who found joy in small things. She had a loving father, a gentle mother, and two little brothers who annoyed her but meant everything to her. Life was simple. Life was good.

Until he came.

His name didn't matter anymore. All that mattered was the way he had looked at her—like she was special, like he adored her. His words were sweet, his promises endless. She fell for him completely.

And then he destroyed her.

He invited her family to his home, far from the city, to "discuss their future." Ishaani was overjoyed. But the moment they arrived, his family greeted them with smiles too wide, eyes too cold.

His father stepped forward, arms open as if to hug Ishaani's father—then plunged a knife into his stomach.

Ishaani's world froze.

Gunshots cracked the air. Her brothers—innocent, confused—collapsed before they even understood what was happening. Her mother screamed, lunging toward them, but he was faster. The blade flashed. She fell.

And then… laughter. Cruel, mocking laughter as her family's blood soaked the ground.

Ishaani woke up in a hospital, her body weak, her mind screaming one question: *Where is my family?*

No one answered.

Instead, police dragged her from the bed, handcuffed her, and threw her in a cell.

*"You murdered them,"* they said.

*"Monster,"* the newspapers called her.

The court didn't listen. The evidence—all fake, all arranged by *him*—was too convincing. The sentence was death.

The guards came at dawn. Their boots echoed like thunder in the silent cell. Ishaani didn't struggle. She walked, head high, through corridors where prisoners turned away. *Cowards*, she thought. *They can't face what they've done to me.*

Outside, the sky was pale gray. Rain had fallen—it smelled like wet earth and iron. A crowd had gathered behind the prison walls. Some shouted *"Murderer!"* Others just stared, hungry for the show.

The gallows stood in the yard.

**But if there is god I only wish one chance ,only one chance to avenge my innocent family. ***

She closed her eyes and took a deep breath.

But before she can walk to the execution ground something heavy hit her head and perhaps it was a human or sack before she can understand anything everything went dark.

*This is the end*, she thought.

But then—

**She felt.**

*How?* She was dead.

Yet the feeling tore through her: like her soul was ripped away… then shoved back into the world.

Sounds rushed in—

People laughing.

Voices chattering.

Footsteps passing.

*Where am I?*

She couldn't tell.

Only darkness… and noise.
