Chapter 418 - 51

THE LAST PARAGON IN THE APOCALYPSEC577 World of Ice, Illusions and Poison, The Re-Awakening

Many years ago, Fruity entered the Tormented Tower of Bloodline Awakening, and it was then that the people of the Tormented world experienced the unknown awakening.

Back then, when Fruity awakened his bloodline and became the Overlord of Ice and Illusion, the entire Tormented world felt it.

It was chilling and bizarre.

In Klaus's past life as Fruity, he was an ice mage with seven forbidden ice elements. However, after interacting with his past self this past month, he discovered that while Fruity was an ice mage, he was something else entirely.

He was an illusionist, and this was only made known when he awakened his bloodline... the bloodline of the Unknown.

It was a pivotal moment in history, and today, Klaus was making such history, too...

The seven forbidden ice elements had finally awakened, and along with their awakening was the awakening of the Primordial Blood of the Unknown (763.7).

The dark red Abyssal Ice element awakened and now began to exude from Klaus's body as he hovered, still passing out in the air.

The white healing ice (Immortal) has also awakened and started healing his body. The Death cards healed the hole in his heart, but the Immortal healing ice is now healing everything else.

The smoky Soul Ice has also awakened, and Klaus's soul is undergoing some qualitative changes that will soon turn his soul into a force with which to reckon.

The Black Annihilation Ice has also awakened. For this one, Klaus will have to first wake up to wield it since the Annihilation Ice and the Abyssal Ice are two of his most powerful attacking ice types.

But aside from these two, the Chaos Ice, with its crimson red hue, has also awakened, and while its name does call it Chaos Ice, it still has to find a battlefield where it can become chaotic.

Klaus, back when he was Fruity, had used the chaotic ice many times just to cause chaos on the battlefield.

In fact, he never thought of finding a way to add more skills to it; instead, he only focused on making it grow chaotic and bring chaos along with it.

Then, the Dark Gold Devouring Ice also awakened. That was the ice he would need if he wanted to always remain strong in battle.

With its incredibly powerful devouring power, Klaus only needs things with soul energy or any energy to devour.

This means the more he kills, the more he can devour. Of course, he only knew up to a certain stage of devouring, but he knew that aside from devouring just energies, he could devour other things, too.

He had yet to remember the other parts of his memories from his fourth incarnation.

The last is the awakening of the Green Hypnotic Ice, the ice that became the centerpiece of his Illusion class.

As expected, Klaus's bloodline also awakened the moment it did, and his next set of memories came with it.

His body was surrounded by waves of ice that coated him in a fortress of some kind. The entire space around him had become frozen, with the sea below freezing far and wide.

As far as the eye could see, its entire surface was frozen.

Nothing in sight was left uncovered by ice. Klaus hovered in the ice fortress in the air for 3 hours until it shattered, revealing Klaus now with blue hair and two blue horns on his forehead.

He awakened a bloodline with a complicated backstory — the Primordial Blood of the Unknown (763.7).

Legend had it that the Lightning, Sea, and Death came into being when everything was created from the unknown. They became the pivotal aspects until they weren't.

Death was banished, and the Sea picked its own dwelling below while the Lightning stayed in the heavens. That was what they called the [Parting].

However, while these three were separated, it was rumored that there was a fourth that was never recognized or perhaps wasn't known...

So they called it [763.7], making it the primordial blood of the unknown. Well, that was the digit they knew in a strange kind of way...

Many theorize about the nature of this fourth existence, but they came up empty until, during the Era of Ice and Illusion, some of the theories were validated.

Many say the fourth existence is [Reality].

Yes... The illusion was made possible because there is reality.

Without reality, nothing can exist. It is the reality that visualizes everything in a way, so Klaus's awakening to the Primordial Blood makes him someone with a strong attachment to reality.

Explore more at My Virtual Library Empire

But is that true? The answer to that is unknown, for nobody knew the true nature of this unknown entity, and that was why it never had a name.

And thus, when Fruity awakened it, he became powerful, but he never changed as Klaus did.

His eyes were also blue, and he had blue horns. His skin was pale, but it had a golden hue to it. He didn't increase in size, but his physique underwent some changes.

His strength, just by sensing his aura, had also become very monstrous.

If Klaus were to check the system screen now, he would see that he had awakened a bloodline and, as a result, received a unique skill along with a huge boost to his stats.

However, even if that wasn't enough, he would also see that, aside from the bloodline awakening, he had also awakened—or perhaps received—some powerful soul weapons now hovering inside his soul sea.

But his identity would have to be put into question. The current appearance he had taken on had no origin. It was an unknown race of a kind.

So, in a way, he had become the first of his kind.

True, there are races with horns, but there aren't any with blue, almost translucent horns like his. His are unique, and while the bloodline he awakened may raise many questions, the appearance it brought was also questionable.

The current Klaus doesn't have a background or lineage he can refer to. He can only brag about his handsomeness, which has taken on a unique turn.

Ladies would, without a doubt, blink a few times when they saw him...especially those horns.

But aside from the good looks, he has undoubtedly become very powerful. He is now extremely powerful.

He received a bloodline ability called [World of Illusion].

This ability essentially uses Klaus's mental strength to visualize how his illusion should turn out. He doesn't have to depend on other illusion techniques to cast illusions.

If he wants to create tangible illusion clones of himself, he can just use his mind.

And with his [Hivemind], which was currently working in overdrive and even adding more to the hive, and his [Hypnotic Ice] now awakened, who is to say what he would be capable of?

If the rumors and theories about the true nature of the Primordial Blood of the Unknown (763.7) are true, then the current Klaus has become what they call a true monster that only appears once every generation.

He can easily destroy anyone with mental strength lower than the requirement to see an illusion. Klaus has now awakened one bloodline, making him part paragon.

As for the poison, it was currently contained for some reason, as if something was preventing it from coming out. Perhaps that was for the best...for now.

However, while that would have been enough, the multi-dimensional cube in his soul sea revolved, and then a powerful soul energy burst out of his body...

...Another bloodline is awakening...

THE LAST PARAGON IN THE APOCALYPSEC578 Star Monarch

A long time ago, a kid was banished merely for bearing the mark of the forbidden. He bore the forbidden mark...The mark was said to carry great calamity to those affiliated with him.

He also could not be killed by an ordinary hand, mainly because of the mark of the Forbidden.

He was cast out because he could not be killed without invoking a great calamity. But before his banishment, he was forced to watch as everything he loved and cherished was burned to the ground.

He had no hope of escape; he was meant to die in the wilderness, filled with horror and terror. He was destined never to return.

But he encountered something that brought him out of despair.

When everything seemed lost, this boy discovered the Star Dimension Cube, which granted him the Star Monarch bloodline, making him a one-of-a-kind Divine Beast Tamer.

It was said that when he awakened the Star Monarch bloodline, all beasts and monsters came running to him—not to kill him, but to submit to him.

Every beast wanted to become his companion, and every monster longed to taste his blood.

Stay updated through My Virtual Library Empire

For it was said that the blood of the Star Monarch possessed the power to transform even a monster into the most powerful and unique beast.

His blood turned beasts into powerhouses; it tamed calamities and subdued vicious creatures like the two immortal phantom cats. His supremacy over beasts, monsters, and perhaps even people was unmatched.

When he returned for revenge, it was said that his army consisted of beasts of varying power levels.

His blood and words carried immense authority, and his lifestyle was deeply relatable to the beasts under his command.

Years have passed since the Star Monarch reigned supreme, and now, he has returned once more.

The Ninth Paragon has finally awakened, and Klaus, who has taken on a new race and appearance, has finally opened his eyes.

His hair has turned a striking silver hue, and his ears have elongated, marking him as an elf. However, on his forehead lies a broken bone tattoo, a symbol of his forbidden birth.

If an elf were present at that moment and knew the legend of the forbidden-borns, they might have drawn their weapons and attacked Klaus on sight to capture him.

Forbidden borns are the people born with the destiny to create great calamity for those around them. Basically, they can cause doom to fall on those he finds himself around.

Because of this, the elves despise them. Yet, they cannot kill a forbidden-born, as doing so would unleash a great calamity upon them.

Instead, they usually banish them, leaving nature to seal their fate.

Fruity was no different, and for this reason, his mother and Haniva were forced to flee. The mark of the forbidden, as they call it, is known as the "Doom Mark."

Of course, no one realized that this was merely a mechanism for the heavens to eliminate paragons or beings destined to oppose them.

Klaus had been marked in every past life—except for the current one he was living—due to something he had yet to uncover.

However, now that he had awakened a second bloodline, this misfortune had followed him again, meaning his life was about to get freaky.

But the Paragon of the Nine Stars had awakened two bloodlines, granting him the strength to wield the power of the Nine Stars. He is now a Paragon through and through.

He is an elf with long silver hair, pointed ears, silver eyes, and a finely sculpted physique. He is so astonishingly handsome that no one can maintain their composure around him—not even married women.

However, while he may be a Paragon, the current aura around Klaus is very calm and approachable, unlike the slaughter aura, the aura of death, or the previous aura of poison and illusions.

The current Klaus, in his Star Monarch form, is very different. In fact, inside his soul sea, in the ninth core, greenery has appeared, radiating an air of tranquility—the kind only those with joy and happiness in their lives would possess.

"What a refreshing feeling," Klaus muttered, hovering naked in the air. His body was filled with life, and he could tell he was truly brimming with vitality.

[Congratulations on your awakening, Star Legend. May your benevolence pave the way for peace for all that exists and is yet to come... and may your fury know no bounds.

But you might want to put on some clothes and cover those ears. No need to show off your handsomeness, brat. It's already too much as a human—why become an elf?]

The senior chuckled, and Klaus could tell he harbored a certain disdain for elves.

"Did an elf steal your woman before?" Klaus asked with a teasing smile. Of course, the senior didn't mind, making Klaus laugh at his rather amusing reaction.

Klaus waved his hand, and a mirror made of ice appeared. He looked at his new appearance, a smile spreading across his face. He even turned around, admiring himself in the mirror like a model—well, he is a model, after all.

"I really should put on some clothes," Klaus said as he quickly put on a robe. He then attempted to contact his ladies, but it seemed he was still being blocked.

He swiftly examined his body, and a smile appeared on his face. Returning to his human appearance, he unleashed his Slaughter Aura.

It materialized as a dark red mist, spreading throughout the space. The frozen river began to melt as his aura expanded.

It was as if he had gained an omnipresent awareness, and within the area his aura occupied, he was akin to a god.

"So, this is the Paragon's Might," Klaus said with a smile.

This was the reason he came here in the first place. When Fruity informs him that he is being targeted by the heavens through their favored children, preventing him from killing them...

He advises him to awaken something called the Paragon's Might.

This was a partial cure for the curse.

Previously, if he had killed one of the heavens' favorites before awakening this aura, the heavens would have sent down a punishment so powerful that not even a Void Stage expert wouldn't be able to withstand it.

To kill them, he needed a counter, which was the Paragon's Might. Klaus was now secure and ready to go berserk.

Of course, the heavens didn't know it yet, but Klaus had finally attained Aura Manifestation.

Because of this, if he unleashed the Aura of Slaughter, the Aura of Poisons and Illusions, and the Aura of Death simultaneously, he could kill the heavens' favorite without facing any retaliation from the heavens.

This meant that the next time Kate Duncan crossed his path, he would, without a doubt, deal with her by severing her head from her shoulders.

"I will review the details of my breakthrough later. For now, I need to head back, considering I don't even know how long I've been away," Klaus said to himself.

"Please, I am done with the trial; how can I leave?" Klaus asked. Immediately after asking, his mind reminded him that he now possessed and understood everything about the dungeon.

Klaus was momentarily shocked, though he had expected it, considering he had completed the trial. It was only natural for him to know everything about it.

It was as if, in addition to the memories of his past as Fruity and those of the Star Monarch now in his head, he had also gained knowledge of how the dungeon worked.

However, he must dive deeply into his new memories to assimilate them into his brain. The knowledge of the dungeon is, however, now in his mind...

"So they were right. This is indeed a doorway into the ruin I left behind," Klaus said with a smile as he teleported to the last floor of the dungeon.

However, the moment he appeared, his connection with his ladies reformed, and a teary voice suddenly entered his mind, making his heart skip a couple of beats.

"K-Klaus, please come... Sister Miriam is dying."

THE LAST PARAGON IN THE APOCALYPSEC579 Power of the Paragon Mark

[A few seconds before Nadia and Klaus's mom were attacked]

Queenie had just woken up from a dream about her past self as the Asura Queenie. She looked beside her, as she did every morning, but Klaus wasn't there. Feeling restless, she decided to go for a swim.

In the inner section, Lucy had just finished her practice session and entered a hot tub. Like her sisters, she was missing Klaus terribly.

Meanwhile, in Ross City, inside Klaus's training room, Oheme was immersed in her cultivation. Klaus had instructed her to reach Level 2 before his return, so she was diligently working to achieve that goal.

Suddenly, a painful scream from Miriam pierced their minds, causing all three ladies to cough up mouthfuls of blood.

In that instant, their souls were struck by an attack so powerful it left them pale. A few seconds later, they heard Miriam's voice in their heads...

"S-Sisters..."

That was all they needed to hear before they immediately used teleportation to appear at the tribulation ground.

When they arrived, Miriam lay on the ground, dying.

Nadia stood frozen in place while the twins, alongside Klaus's mother, remained in the Shadow Realm. They were carefully moving her through the shadows, sensing the danger that lingered outside.

"What happened?" Queenie asked, her divine sense sweeping across the entire area. Unfortunately, the four Transcendents who had attacked were already gone.

The one who had attacked Kofi had vanished as well.

Miriam couldn't talk, but they could tell what had happened from the powerful soul energy in the space. Lucy went to support Nadia, who was also bleeding from her nose.

She had also been struck, but it was just a small shockwave...

Queenie picked up Miriam in a princess carry, and the next second, she vanished. A moment later, the twins appeared with Klaus's mom beside the dying butler.

Klaus's mom, though just a master stage expert, quickly went to check on him. She wasn't an idiot; she knew what had happened, so she didn't ask any foolish questions.

"Sister Ohema, please take Nadia back. I have to attend to Kofi," Ohema nodded and took Nadia, who had finally passed out.

She opened a space rift, and soon, she was in Ross City, where Queenie set Miriam down and began channeling her energy into her.

The three ladies said nothing out loud most of the time, but they were talking and panicking through the telepathic connection between them.

Back on the tribulation ground, Lucy used the healing factor of her wood element to create a miniature garden around Kofi and then coated him in ice.

"Mother, what happened?" she finally asked, looking at her teary mother-in-law, Klaus's mother...

"Will they be alright?" Instead of answering, Klaus's mom asked her own question, clenching her fists. If one didn't know better, they might think she was an angel of death, judging by the bloodthirsty look in her eyes.

"I don't know, but Kofi won't die. I am using my soul strength and all my energy to heal him, and from the attack, his heart hasn't sustained much damage, so he will live. But for Sister Miriam..." Lucy wiped a tear from her face.

"I—I don't know."

She could feel it—the Paragon Mark was sapping her soul strength, and through the connection, she could tell it was going to Miriam.

If only she knew the Paragon Mark was the only thing keeping Miriam alive at the moment. The moment all of the three ladies ran out of soul strength, she would die.

Klaus's mom hugged Lucy, who started shedding tears as she felt the pain Miriam was going through, even in her unconscious state.

The pain wasn't from the flesh; it came deep from the soul.

And it wasn't just her who was crying—the twins were the same. To them, Miriam and everyone in Klaus's family were their family, so they were deeply saddened at the moment. Read new chapters at My Virtual Library Empire

A minute later, Ohema appeared and transported Kofi away using the power of the void. She was not yet a Void Stage expert, but as a Level 8 Ascendant, she could use it to a certain extent.

They left and returned to the house, where everyone gathered to support Miriam in her final moments. Lucy was already trying to link up with Klaus, but as had been the case for months now, she received no reply.

Meanwhile, back in the sect, Hanna, who was cultivating in her room, suddenly opened her eyes and ran out heading toward Anna's apartment.

"Anna, we have to leave! Something bad happened back home," Hanna said before running off to Lily's place and repeating everything to all of them.

While this was happening, Old Lu, who was keeping an eye on Nari, noticed something was wrong and approached them.

Hanna told him that something bad had happened back home. She gave no explanation, and Old Lu asked for none. Surprisingly, he led them to his private jet, which took them back to Ross City in under two hours.

When they arrived, they saw Miriam nearly at death's door, Kofi in a comatose state, and Nadia pale and unconscious.

The sight filled everyone with sadness, even Old Lu, who immediately began using a certain Monk healing technique to support Queenie in recovering her soul strength much faster so she could keep giving it back to Miriam.

Everyone was furious, but they stayed close, knowing anything could happen.

And something did.

Exactly three hours after the attack, the Duncan Legacy Family and the three great clans allied with them made a statement on the internet that immediately got everyone talking.

Danny was the first to discover the posts, which were quickly made known to everyone. Ohema, who was supporting her sister, became so angry that she wanted to go after them.

Thankfully, the weakest among them, Klaus's mom, calmed her down, as she was doing so for every last one of them, currently ensuring Miriam wasn't left alone.

The Paragon Mark was working, and after five hours, Lucy, Queenie, and Ohema became pale.

Thankfully, Lulu, who is also a Spirit Master and has powerful soul strength, chipped in and was doing everything she could to save her sister. It was the least she could do for one of Klaus's women—his second, in fact.

Aoi, Lulu, the twins, Anna, and every last one of Klaus's friends were doing everything to keep Miriam alive. Right now, the only person on their mind who could do something was Klaus, but he was nowhere to be found.

He was still away on a mission and hadn't returned yet...

The post spread everywhere, making some people angry and others happy. Surprisingly, one of the upset individuals was KKKickinIt, who was at that moment bashing the Legacy Families and the great clans.

Seven hours later, everyone was exhausted, but they refused to stop. This was especially true for Queenie, who was doing everything possible to save not only her husband's second wife but also her sworn sister.

No matter what, she wouldn't stop.

She was as pale as paper, and anyone could tell that aside from trying to save Miriam, she was dealing with something deeply troubling.

Suddenly, Lucy felt the connection build between her and Klaus, compelling her to speak. Her voice was loud enough for everyone to hear.

"K-Klaus, please come… Sister Miriam is dying."

The next second, Klaus appeared in the room, shocking everyone. His give fell on the pale, aging Miriam, and his fist clenched.

[Her soul is Fracture...No Shattered. The only thing keeping her alive is the Paragon Mark] The senior immediately accessed her situation...

THE LAST PARAGON IN THE APOCALYPSEC580 Uncle Monk, I Will Need Your Help

Many years ago, a tyrant queen ruled over a race of women. She was a cruel and powerful ruler who ruled with an iron fist.

They called her the Tyrant Sword Queen because she was one of the most powerful swordsmen of her time. A true tyrant with the sword.

Find adventures on My Virtual Library Empire

This tyrant queen did not believe in friendship and would kill anyone who dared to try to befriend her. She is a tyrant...

Once, she killed 200,000 men because she heard a rumor that one of them claimed he could tame her and pin her in his bed... She was a tyrant...

However, one day, this tyrant became obsessed with someone she met only once. Because of this obsession, when the time came, she single-handedly waged war against an entire galaxy.

The tyrant queen ultimately died because of her obsession and was reborn as a war goddess, shunned by her family. Now, this once-tyrannical queen lay unconscious on a bed, with life rapidly slipping from her body.

Klaus gazed at the sleeping Miriam with a clenched fist.

He could tell she was on her last leg, and even with 22 minds, he couldn't come up with a solution. That was because there wasn't a solution for what had happened.

[I am sorry, Klaus. If her soul had fractured, we would have been able to use a technique called Soul Mending to mend it back. Though it would have destroyed her potential, she would live and perhaps heal over time.]

The senior spoke to Klaus, causing a few tears to fall from his eyes.

Klaus walked closer to the bed where Miriam's aging body lay. Because her soul had shattered, her age caught up to her as it would have been had it not been for the apocalypse...

He knelt down and held her hand, sending his star qi into her body, hoping it might help her, but he could tell, without even feeling it, that she couldn't be saved.

Suddenly, Klaus's emotions started to grow unstable as more teardrops fell from his eyes. He was losing his grip, and while he didn't sense it, his seventh core was leaking an aura of intense anger, hatred, and resentment.

It was the kind of emotion one experiences when someone they love is taken from them... only Klaus's own feelings were coming from deep within his soul.

When he recovered his memories of being Fruity and how he lost his mother and Haniva, he was angry—but it wasn't as intense as what he was feeling at that moment.

His anger radiated outward, and soon, his intense aura of hatred filled the room, making everyone turn pale. Klaus wasn't in the right mindset.

His woman was dying right in front of him, and there was nothing he could do. This caused him to lose control, and just like that, Klaus could only shed tears as Queenie, who was also exhausted, slowly started to lose her grip.

Suddenly, Klaus felt someone hug him from behind. He was emotional at the moment, but his instincts were still as sharp as ever

It was just a hug, but it was enough to help him regain control of his emotions. He recalled his aura and turned to look at Hanna.

A star tattoo appeared on her forehead, causing one of the star tattoos on his back to light up.

****

Far away, inside a certain glowing star with a beautiful ring around it, a monk set his teacup down and sighed.

"It shouldn't be this early," he sighed again. "The heavens are growing uneasy... this could only mean we did something right."

Fruity, who had become one with the nine paragon stars, smiled and formed a hand seal. Suddenly, a projection of his uncle Monk appeared, causing his smile to widen.

"Time for you to wake up, Uncle Monk. Time for your brat to disturb you yet again." He sent the orb flying away before picking up his teacup and taking a sip.

Hanna's image appeared next, making him smirk.

"I told you to add her to the harem; things would have become much easier if she were a part of the harem." He sighed, and then he went back to his meditation, which was drinking tea all day.

What a weird fellow

****

Back in Ross City, inside Klaus's home, Old Lu, who was recovering his energy to help Queenie, suddenly felt something enter his soul.

His consciousness blacked out for a moment, forcing him to close his eyes.

The next second, his eyes snapped open, but this time, he wasn't the same Old Lu; he was someone entirely different.

It was just a second of change, but one could tell in the second he had changed in many ways that can only be described as impossible.

He stood up and walked closer to Klaus, who was holding Miriam, while Hanna placed her hand on his back. She acted like an emotional regulator. With her presence, Klaus wasn't losing control of his emotions.

"There is a way to save her, F-Fruity."

Klaus, holding Miriam's hand, felt his body stiffen when he heard Old Lu speak. For a moment, his mind went blank, but he quickly recovered.

To everyone else, nothing seemed unusual except for Old Lu addressing Klaus as "Fruity."

But for Klaus, who had heard his Uncle Monk call him Fruity countless times in his past life, he instantly knew that the person speaking was his Uncle Monk—not Old Lu. Not the Dean of the Celestial Mountain Academy.

It's now his Uncle Monk, the one who gave his life so he could live...That same Uncle Monk

Klaus stood up and looked at Old Lu. "Uncle Monk, is that you?"

He asked, tears rolling down his face.

Old Lu smiled at him and walked closer. "It looks like you are much more tamed in this life."

Klaus leaped forward and hugged his Uncle Monk, unable to hold back his emotions.

This caught everyone watching off guard. They could tell something significant was happening, but they didn't know what.

One moment, Klaus and Old Lu were just a dean and his disciple. The next, they seemed more like family—closer, almost like a father and son.

What made it even stranger was that Klaus called him "Uncle Monk," and Old Lu referred to Klaus as "Fruity."

It was unusual, to say the least, but for Anna and Lucy, it stirred something deeper. They felt lost... as if they were forgetting something important.

The two exchanged looks, but neither could pinpoint what was happening to them or fully grasp the significance of the scene unfolding before their eyes.

"Do you really have a way to save her?" Klaus asked, looking back at Old Lu with eyes filled with expectancy.

"Do you remember what I told you about Soul Worlds, specifically Soul World Building?" Old Lu asked, and Klaus nodded.

He not only knew about how to rebuild one's Soul World, but he had also learned how to reshape it. "But the method you showed me only builds and reshapes; it doesn't reconstruct a destroyed Soul World," Klaus said.

"True, but that applies if you're using just soul energy. To recreate a Soul World—in this case, to recreate a soul—you must sacrifice a soul multiple times. In plain words, to create a soul, you must sacrifice your cultivation," Old Lu explained.

Klaus nodded. With his big brain, he could tell something like this was plausible, but even without his intellect, the senior's words rang true.

[What he said is indeed true. By sacrificing your cultivation, you can create a soul for her. But it's dangerous since you would have to enter her destroyed soul, where you will be completely exposed. A little mistake, and you will die.]

Klaus gulped and then looked at Old Lu. "Uncle Monk, I will need your help."

THE LAST PARAGON IN THE APOCALYPSEC581 Entering Miriam's Soul World

The concept of manipulating the soul is a dangerous one. In fact, souls, if not well protected, can lead to the downfall of even immortals and gods. Souls are the foundation of one's life.

Many might even call it the core of a being...

The idea of creating a soul is not something to be taken lightly.

Klaus would have to use his soul and consciousness to enter Miriam's destroyed Soul World and recreate a new one for her using his cultivation.

Essentially, Klaus would need to sacrifice his cultivation base in exchange for his life force. This life force would then be used to create a new soul, which, in essence, means giving life to her.

But it's far from simple.

To do this, Klaus must be at the same cultivation base as the one he is about to help. If not, he risks losing all his cultivation base. It's a risky thing.

Stay connected through My Virtual Library Empire

His life force increases as he breaks through to higher realms, so if he were to give it away, he would automatically become weak and eventually lose everything.

But Klaus is not like everyone else.

The current him embodies seven Sovereigns in a single body. This means every one of his seven Sovereign Cores can be used. He is not like everyone else.

He is a monster.

"How can I help?" Old Lu asked. He had once caught Klaus going through some of the monastery's secret books, and from what Klaus was reading back when he was known as Fruity, it was about souls.

Naturally, as monks, they knew more about souls. Old Lu had explained some things to him back then, but never in his wildest dreams did he think he would ever have to put that knowledge into practice today.

It has been thousands, if not millions, of years already...

"Since her soul world is destroyed, I will be entering an unknown world. This means that the moment I enter, I will lose access to my body. If I fail, I won't be able to come back.

That means if Miriam dies, I die with her. So I will need an anchor—someone to link me to this plane—and since you are an expert on souls, I will need you to become my anchor," Klaus said before turning to the ladies in the room.

He walked closer to his mom, who still had teardrops on her face. He wiped the tears away before planting a kiss on her forehead.

"I will save her, Mom," Klaus whispered to her.

Miriam had become someone akin to her own daughter over the past month she had spent with her. They did things together and talked about many things all day. So, while she may not be her real daughter, she was someone she could not afford to lose.

"I believe you, Klaus," she said, hugging him tightly. Klaus rubbed her back gently before moving to his ladies, who were all looking at him with expressions that conveyed one thing: 'Please save her.'

"It's alright, Queenie. I'll take it from here," Klaus said, pulling the teary Overlord away. She had been using her soul energy for the past hours, ensuring her sister remained alive while she waited for a miracle.

After discovering that she could never remember her blood relatives after 24 hours as a child, she resolved to cherish everyone around her and never let go.

She hated her childhood, especially the memories of making her mom and twin sister cry every morning. This was why she couldn't lose Miriam, her sworn sister who had saved her life 15 years ago.

She pulled away and immediately passed out. Klaus laid her down gently, then walked over to Miriam's unconscious body and pulled out his phone.

"What are you doing?" Lucy asked, but the answer came the next second.

Klaus took a picture of Miriam's aged body with a smile on his face.

"Why did you take a picture of her, Klaus?" Lulu asked, raising an eyebrow.

"How else am I going to tease her when she wakes up?" Klaus smirked, making everyone in the room look at him with eyes that conveyed one thing—beatings.

But they would save that for after everything was over.

Klaus sat on the bed and hugged Miriam from behind. Old Lu sat behind Klaus, their backs touching.

"I will start now, Uncle Monk. No matter what, don't pull me out. Since I'm linked to you, I can come out anytime," Klaus said, and Old Lu nodded.

Old Lu felt very happy at that moment. Somehow, he remembered his past life up until his death, and while that part of his life had been painful, the time he spent with Klaus brought him great joy.

Klaus may have been a brat in his fourth incarnation—and still was—but he was also one of the best gifts the monks had received in years. Although over half of them had died in the end, they held no regrets, Old Lu included.

So, while he may have died, he wouldn't hesitate to die again if it meant saving Klaus. He practically raised him, making him something of a father figure to Klaus.

"Don't worry, I know how important this is for you and everyone... I won't do anything that will jeopardize that," Old Lu said as he closed his eyes.

Klaus did the same, and they both began chanting the same words, which immediately activated a spell circle on the bed. The moment it appeared, Lulu, who had a strong attachment to the soul, was the only one who saw what happened.

Klaus's soul left his body and stood in front of Miriam. At the same time, a string shot from Old Lu's soul and latched onto Klaus.

That was the anchor that would keep him connected to the physical plane. If it broke, then he could only stay in Miriam's soul and pray he managed to create a soul for her so she could bring him back.

He turned and winked at Lulu before entering Miriam's body.

The moment he appeared in Miriam's soul world, Klaus felt all the air being sucked out. He gasped for breath as the air kept vanishing.

[Use your energy to create a vacuum around you. This space is basically a void. You can't breathe here like on the outside, so use your energy to create a vacuum around you]

The senior spoke, and Klaus did as he was told. Immediately after he did, he could breathe again. He looked around and saw only shattered heavens, lands, rivers, and everything else.

"How powerful is the weapon used to attack her?" Klaus asked. He just couldn't understand how something could destroy a soul to this extent.

[I can't tell until I go to the place where the weapon was used. But I can say for certain that whatever was used wasn't something simple... It also looks like it's not from this world.]

"Not from this world?" Klaus took in a cold breath as he gazed into the distance, where he could see a small part of Miriam's soul world that still looked intact.

[Let's talk about it after you leave here. You don't have much time here, and you are vulnerable here, too, so you'd better hurry up.]

"Okay, senior." Klaus moved, and soon, he was nearing the space. However, when he was just a few meters away, he froze and gazed at the old lady sitting with a sword in her hand.

It was Miriam, but she looked different...

"Klaus, is that you?" Miriam asked. For a moment, Klaus hesitated, but then he answered...

"Yes, it's... I have come to take you home."

Miriam looked at him and then sighed. "You can't. My soul is destroyed beyond repair." His expression was someone who had accepted her fate

Klaus could see it; Miriam knew she would die even before she defended Nadia...The look in her eyes said it all. She was happy with her current situation because she had accepted this outcome.

'But how?'

THE LAST PARAGON IN THE APOCALYPSEC582 Creating The Soul World

Klaus moved closer until he was right in front of Miriam. He crouched down and sat beside her, touching her arm.

He replayed the look he saw in Miriam's eyes for a few seconds, but at every turn he took, he arrived at the same conclusion... She knew she would die, and she didn't hesitate. That made Klaus look at her in a new light.

"Why did you do it, knowing you would die?" Klaus went straight to the point, not leaving room for doubt. He knew she had seen something and acted on it, but he wanted to hear her motivation.

Miriam looked at him and smiled. She may be old, but she still had her good looks. She waved her hand, and fractured mirrors appeared. On each display was a memory.

In the first memory, Klaus saw Miriam's childhood. She was an unruly child back then and would often sneak out to play outside despite the strict rules imposed by her father.

The next memory showed her guilt-tripping her sister into taking her to a sword competition, where she lost anyway, and how she manipulated her sister into buying her ice cream afterwards.

The following memory was when her sister was knocked down by a car, and instead of helping, she froze in place, watching her sister die.

Klaus could see the emotions tied to this memory, and from that moment onward, all her memories were filled with bitterness.

Everything was bitter.

From the time she was abandoned to survive in a zombie-infested world at the age of 14 to how she had to fight for her life every single day just to stay alive.

Back then, she wanted only one thing—to visit her sister's grave, say goodbye, and then end her own life. But even that was denied by her family.

So, for years, she fought zombies and monsters alike, all in the hope that one day she would be strong enough to visit her sister's grave. It was a strange way of holding on, but she used it as her motivation to keep growing.

However, when she met Klaus, everything changed.

The love she had been denied her entire life was now being showered on her through him. From the memories, Klaus could tell that Miriam had grown attached to his mother, mainly because of how she treated her—like her own daughter.

Klaus saw how she became friends with Anna and the others. He saw how she became happy when she finally gave her heart to him. He saw how she accepted all his women and became friends with them.

Then, the true reason revealed itself when he saw her have something like a dream or a vision of Nadia dying during her tribulation.

Klaus saw Miriam remain in seclusion for a whole month, not doing anything. She was just waiting for Nadia to come out of seclusion so she could accompany her during her tribulation.

"I don't know how, but when I had this dream, I immediately knew how it could be prevented, and so I did... What I didn't expect, however, was how much my sisters loved me. Because of them, though I should be dead by now, I am still here... for now," Miriam said with a sigh.

Klaus didn't immediately say anything. He just stayed there for a full minute before standing up...

"Let's start. I'll have to create a new soul for you, and for that to work, you'll need to give me the remainder of your soul," Klaus said.

It would be a waste if he chooses to dive further into her motivation when he could just save her and talk about that later...

Perhaps over some hot midnight sex.

Miriam looked at him and chuckled. "You think I'll let you hurt yourself? You'll definitely be losing something big by doing this... I won't allow it."

"You don't have a choice. If you die, I'll lose my sanity, and a lot of beauties currently waiting for me will be very sad... So no matter what, you're not dying today," Klaus said as he grabbed her hand.

"Plus, I have a picture of you I plan on framing and hanging on my wall... I can't tease you if you are dead, so I'm saving you whether you like it or not. And it's not like I'll get hurt doing this."

Miriam looked at him and sighed. "Klaus, are you sure this won't hurt you?" she asked.

"I'll be fine. The worst that can happen is me losing a level or two," Klaus replied before taking her other arm.

"From today onwards, your soul is mine," Klaus said before kissing her. Miriam smiled through the kiss, locking in deeper, making a mental note of how Klaus couldn't hold himself back, and kissed an old lady.

She also planned to tease her with this...

A few seconds into the kiss, Klaus's seventh core, which had become a sovereign core, lit up, and then *boom*—it exploded, flooding Miriam's soul world with potent life energy. Soon, the shattered world was erased, leaving only Klaus and Miriam in a dark, empty space.

He pulled back from the kiss and touched Miriam's forehead. In the next moment, she merged with his body. Klaus quickly sat in a lotus posture and began chanting strange, arcane words.

His sixth core followed suit, exploding and releasing its potent energy into the soul world that was beginning to take shape.

On the outside, Klaus's face was pale, but not too pale. He was still hugging Miriam, who remained old, but Lulu, a soul cultivator, could see she was beginning to recover.

"Whatever Klaus is doing seems to be working... Sister Miriam is recovering," she said, making everyone smile upon hearing that.

"Can you see what he's doing?" Lucy asked. She was a bookworm, but she also had a habit of knowing something about everyone.

She had studied her sister and friends, so she knew Lulu was, in fact, the only one who could tell what was happening.

"I can't see, but I can tell by how fast Klaus is losing his cultivation base that he's doing something right," Lulu said.

The ladies nodded. Klaus had entered Miriam's soul world 15 minutes ago, but he had already lost two levels. However, Miriam was also recovering, albeit slowly, so whatever he was doing was clearly working.

"These bastards..." Daniel blurted out, staring at his phone screen.

"What is it?" Kilian asked.

"It's the Legacies and their allies... They just released more photos of what happened and are calling Klaus a coward who chose to hide when his girlfriend was attacked. It seems they planned this well, considering they've already started evacuating Union City."

"So they're setting a trap for Klaus in case he comes for revenge," Danny said.

"Yes. Since they used the Overlords not stepping in to stop Klaus when he killed the mercenaries in Union City as an excuse, they think they're invincible," Kilian said, clenching his fist.

They were all angry at what had happened, but they were powerless to do anything. They could only wait for Klaus to decide what would happen next.

Ten hours later, Klaus had dropped two more levels, meaning he had sacrificed four sovereign cores. This puzzled everyone.

If he was meant to exchange his cultivation base for her soul, shouldn't he have regressed back to the Master Stage or perhaps the Grandmaster Stage by now?

But he had only lost a few levels, meaning a single level for Klaus was equivalent to a full cultivation base for someone else.

Monstrous...

Twelve hours later, after the fifth core was sacrificed, Miriam opened her eyes, bringing with her some changes that caught everyone off guard.

THE LAST PARAGON IN THE APOCALYPSEC583 Soul Rebirth

A few minutes before Klaus exploded the 5th core...which caused Miriam to open her eyes after hours, finally.

Klaus began exploding his cores starting from the 7th. After becoming a Great Sage, his cultivation base advanced to the 7th stage, granting him 7 Sovereign Cores and 2 Great Cores.

Now, he had already exploded the 7th, 6th, 5th, and 4th cores, and finally, he was about to explode the 3rd. When he did, a wave of life energy surged into her soul world, completing its formation entirely.

Klaus looked around and frowned.

"Senior, shouldn't there be clouds, rivers, trees, and other things inside the soul world?" Klaus asked. The entire space was now white, having transformed from darkness to light.

[That is because her soul will undergo rebirth, and for that to happen, you must first live here. This will occur based on her fate. Your presence is clashing with her fate, meaning if you remain here for too long, her soul world will form, but it won't necessarily be hers.]

"I see. When can I go now, or do I have to do something else?" Klaus asked.

[You can leave. You have already formed a soul three times bigger than the one she used to have. You've done enough; the rest is up to fate.]

Klaus nodded, and then he brought Miriam out of his body. Well, it was more like they were both souls, so he brought her out from his soul.

Immediately, he did. There was a rumble, and he could see changes starting to happen.

"I'll be going out now... Catch you on the outside," Klaus said with a smile.

"Race you," Miriam replied, smiling as well. She could now sense that her soul had fully formed. She could also tell Klaus was fine, but deep down, she knew it wasn't as simple as he made it seem. He was pretending...

Miriam opened her eyes outside; however, the moment she left her soul space, a tyrannical energy descended into the space, halting Klaus's escape. He was locked down. Even the anchor linking him to Old Lu was severed.

This caused Old Lu to cough up blood causing everyone to frown. But they weren't the only ones doing the frowning.

Back inside Miriam's soul world...

"So we finally meet, Paragon," Klaus suddenly heard a voice speak, and for some reason, fear gripped him. It was a fear he had felt before.

It was when Queenie told him they should spar. The trauma from his third incarnation followed him into his current life. Now, he was feeling yet another fear, and he knew this also had something to do with one of his past incarnations.

"Who are you... reveal yourself," Klaus said, looking around.

"Lol, look at you giving orders, Divine Archer. Are you perhaps overestimating your strength now?" The voice spoke with mocking laughter.

"Who are you?" Klaus asked again, still looking around.

"You will know soon enough. For now, saying too much will bring Karma, isn't that right, Paragon? After all, this meeting was all your idea. I have to say, your ability to predict the future is impeccable."

"Wait a minute, I predicted this...?" Klaus raised an eyebrow. Though he wanted to know more, his curiosity was easily piqued.

"No, silly. You predicted this world. You predicted the ending and even predicted that we would meet someday in the future. But as to how? You said nothing about that.

Still, I always have a nagging feeling you always knew. Of course, whether it was your scheming that made it possible or fate, I will find out when I dissect your brain and examine it like I wanted to eons ago."

The voice smiled, sending chills down Klaus's spine.

"Can you reveal yourself? I know you are Miriam's incarnation, but from when?" Klaus asked again.

"No... You are not ready to meet me yet, and yes, I am her incarnation. For now, spend your peaceful days with me in this incarnation. When I awaken, we will continue from where we left off."

Klaus felt his soul finally released, jolting him awake in the real world.

"Fuck... I need to talk to that hedgehog and find out who he's pissed off. This lady gives me the creeps," Klaus muttered under his breath, loud enough for the ladies around him to raise an eyebrow. Enjoy new adventures from My Virtual Library Empire

Miriam was sitting in a lotus posture, undergoing some kind of transformation. When Klaus stared at her face, a chill ran down his spine.

'Fuck... why do I always find myself in situations like this?' Klaus thought as he glanced at the ladies around him, wondering how they all connected to his past.

When his eyes met Lucy's and Anna's, he smiled, for he had finally received the next set of memories from Fruity. Now, he knew some more, but he would have to let the memories flow like before to know everything.

From his smile, it was plain that something good had happened... as to what, you will find out later. Klaus focused his attention on Miriam, who was reverting to her young self.

Meanwhile, inside her soul space, many changes were taking place. If one were to compare her previous soul to this one, one would notice some major differences.

The world was now filled with the aura of tyranny, but aside from that, there was a part filled with love. Perhaps one could say that for someone who was known to be full of tyranny, a small part of her was reserved for love.

However, for some reason, the tyrannical part was huge, which was disturbing. But as time went on in her soul space, her loving side began to expand, and soon, it was on the same level as her tyrannical side.

When everything was done, the soul world began to shake violently. It was as if a wave of danger was washing over the soul world.

However, it wasn't that. Instead, it was the awakening of a sword that once struck fear in the hearts of many. Whenever the sword appeared, tyranny followed.

That was why they called it the Sword of Tyranny. On the outside, Miriam was surrounded by a mist made of golden light.

After the sword appeared, Miriam opened her eyes, dispersing the mist. When the mist cleared, she returned to her previous self but with new features.

Before her rebirth, she had been a beauty with dark hair, but now, she had silver hair and blue eyes. Aside from that, her figure had also become more pronounced in certain areas.

It was the same trait that had initially attracted Klaus, and seeing it now made him very happy, causing him to smile. His ladies, including his mother, noticed why he was smiling but chose to ignore him and focus on Miriam.

She became much more beautiful, perhaps due to awakening her bloodline. Unlike the rest of his ladies, hers, like Nadia's, hadn't been locked.

This transformation caused her appearance to align with her bloodline. She remained human, unlike Nadia, who had become an Elf. However, she now had a golden gem with six edges embedded on her forehead.

There were other changes as well, but Klaus didn't have much time to observe them. He was utterly exhausted and wanted to sleep.

"Welcome to the land of the living, Miriam," Klaus said before turning to Nia.

"Nia, you and the twins should go to Controversial News and bring that lady. Tell her I have an announcement to make. If she accepts, bring only her."

He then turned to Queenie. "You can tell the Overlords not to interfere in the battles that will happen in the coming days. Also, you can start looking for a replacement for the next Legacy family of the Northern Union.

In a week's time, I will kill every last one of the Duncan Legacy family that dare raise their weapons at me."

Immediately after saying that, he fell onto Hanna's shoulder, who was right beside him. He drifted into sleep, only to be pulled into a meeting with Knox, his second incarnation...

THE LAST PARAGON IN THE APOCALYPSEC584 Escalating...

It has already been five days since the attack on Klaus's family, and the world is still talking about it. It's everyone's daily and hourly discussion.

The attack was unexpected, and the fact that the attackers made their motives known is equally shocking.

Miriam nearly died, and had it not been for the twins' timely intervention, his mom would have lost her life.

These two outcomes are the basis of everyone's discussions. But, of course, things only got more interesting after the attack.

According to the news, people have already started evacuating Union City after the Duncan Legacy Family and the Three Clans began moving their troops there.

They declared war and immediately began to prepare.

A day after the attack, they announced that if Klaus didn't respond within two weeks, they would launch another attack.

This statement was made by the four family heads leading the alliance...

Naturally, their declaration, tied to the events in Union City when Klaus killed the mercenaries, has worked in their favour—at least among a portion of the population that supports them.

They are not calling for the Overlords to intervene, as they see this as a battle solely between them and Klaus Hanson.

Two days after the attack, the Dark Order issued a statement declaring their alliance with the Three Clans and the Duncan Legacy Family.

A few hours later, the Vargas Legacy Family of the Southern Union also joined the alliance, turning it into a force that cannot be ignored.

Naturally, Klaus's fans began calling out their shamelessness. But that is war, and they are preparing. Klaus was still asleep, talking to three of his incarnations.

Three days after the attack, Queenie, as the leader of the Overlords, issued a statement saying they wouldn't interfere in the matters between the Legacy Clan alliance (as they are calling themselves) and Klaus.

This statement further raised many eyebrows, but nobody questioned them. The overlords are the overlords for a reason...

Naturally, Queenie made this statement only after Klaus's mother instructed her to do so. For some reason, after witnessing everything that had happened, something snapped inside her.

She now wanted revenge, but since she could not act on it herself, she had to trust her son, who told Queenie to issue the statement.

Queenie, of course, was skeptical at first, but after they sat down and discussed things, she issued the statement.

Now that the statement was out, everyone knew Klaus and the Legacy Clan Alliance were bound to clash.

Naturally, after the statement was made, Moonville Group LLC informed the denizens of Union City to start moving to their affordable housing project.

This project was part of Queenie's housing initiative, which she had prepared for her people from the moon. This move was, of course, intended to make it easier for humans and the Moonborn to connect when they descended in a month's time.

It was also her way of ensuring that the innocent were not affected in the coming battles between the alliance and Klaus. They couldn't allow innocent people to die.

Four days later, Nia, Luna, and Nuna arrived with KKKickinIt, who was ecstatic when they told her Klaus wanted to make a statement through her channel.

They brought her through the Shadow Realm.

With the three working together, KKKickinIt was moved in secret and brought to Klaus's home, where she was housed in a room with a guard stationed outside. They wouldn't want someone who reports on gossip snooping around.

Nadia also woke up on the fourth day looking depressed. Luckily, Klaus's mother foresaw this and, being a good mother, spent hours talking to her.

Of course, Klaus's mom knew she would need a few days to recover, so after talking to her, a dark gate crackling with lightning opened, and she stepped through.

Asha, who saw this, smiled. She might also have something similar to that.

Kofi has also woken up but is recuperating and won't be fighting anytime soon. He was injured in the heart, and had it not been for Lucy's wood element, he would have died.

Old Lu also went back to the academy to guard Nari, who was still asleep even after weeks. Something was definitely going on with her, but they just didn't understand what it was.

In fact, Queenie thanked her lucky stars for letting Nari sleep; by now, fire and devastation would have rocked Union City.

Perhaps it was for the best. In the short time Nari spent with Klaus, she had grown closer to him that if she were to hear of the attack on her family, who knows what she would have done.

Now, everyone was just waiting for Klaus to make his appearance. Those who wouldn't be taking part in the war had evacuated, thanks to Moonville Group LLC.

Klaus's women and male friends were guarded and ready to join him in his war with the Legacy Clan Alliance.

"So, Hanna still hasn't left his side, huh?" Klaus's mom asked, looking at some of the most beautiful ladies in the entire world all gathered in the same room. They were all her son's women.

"She's hugging him like a koala bear. I doubt she'll be coming out anytime soon," Anna replied, shaking her head. Hanna was the one who carried Klaus to her bedroom when he passed out.

Strangely, she hadn't let him go and just hugged him while she drifted off to sleep. The ladies could only watch.

"No need to be jealous, Anna. She is special to Klaus," Lucy said to Anna, noticing her behaviour, which made Anna blush slightly.

"Honestly, I think the two are made for each other. It's even weird that Hanna is still resisting him when Klaus clearly wouldn't bat an eye at making her his.

I mean, look at them. Klaus is handsome, and Hanna is gorgeous. They are practically made for each other," Lily said, shaking her head. The ladies around her nodded.

"I guess she's treating him more like a brother. I mean, back when you ladies arrived at the academy, she threatened us with Overlord Nari to stop us from spending all our time with Klaus.

Only someone who is clearly overprotective of him would do that. From my point of view, the two are more like brother and sister."

The ladies nodded again. Of course, they didn't share the same father or mother, but their bond, from what they could tell, was something even true siblings couldn't mimic.

The ladies and guys continued talking about various things, with even Queenie chiming in from time to time. She had grown close to Klaus's female companions and even his male friends, so it wasn't as strange as one might think.

"So, you ladies and guys do realize Klaus won't allow you to join this battle, right?" A few hours into their conversation, Klaus's mother chose to raise the most important question.

Of course, they had anticipated it, but hearing her say it dampened their mood. Klaus's mother might be weak, but she knew her son far better than they did.

She was right—Klaus wouldn't allow his friends and lovers to get involved in this mess.

He will want to make a statement—a loud one. So, he will participate in this battle alone.

However, people's view of him will change drastically after the upcoming battle with the Legacy Clan alliance. Right now, Klaus is feeling only one thing... and that is anger.

He is furious, and this anger isn't about to be subdued—not even by Hanna, who seems to have some form of influence over him. Continue your saga on My Virtual Library Empire

No, this anger is something known by only a few as 'The Paragon Fury'.

In the coming days, Klaus would be turning the world upside down. As to how... only the stars can tell.

THE LAST PARAGON IN THE APOCALYPSEC585 The Cheat...

Klaus had been sleeping for six days, but during five of those six, he was pulled into three different realms where he met four of the incarnations he had encountered so far.

The first to call him was Knox, the most annoying of them all. She spent an entire day rambling about the same topic, only to give him a new lightning-refining technique at the end of their conversation.

Basically, all the talk that day was nonsense. It made no sense, and the only worthwhile thing about it was the refining technique he received in the end.

Klaus was so frustrated that he nearly attacked the bastard.

Unfortunately, before Klaus could truly attack, he was sent away, only to appear in Number Three's domain. As the Asura God of his time, Klaus expected to gain something valuable, but instead, he received a lecture on his slaughter aura.

In the end, he gained nothing and was tossed into Fruity's domain, where he obtained something that nearly caused him to detonate one of his cores, threatening to destroy the entire realm.

Fruity wasn't pleased with Klaus failing to inherit his violet hair when he awakened his bloodline, so he decided to fix that.

While Klaus was furious, he would later discover that Fruity, in his shameless quest to change his hair, had also provided him with a method to control his poison element and finally merge it with his Nine Reincarnation Divine Body Physique.

Thankfully, when he entered Paragon's realm, Paragon gave him everything he needed to know about something he would rely on for the rest of his life—the Primordial Forge.

At the moment, Klaus had yet to fully explore its potential, but essentially, with dead bodies, his mind and soul spirits, he could create beings called Paragon Fiends—or, as Klaus would later choose to name them, Star Hives.

It was the kind of boon destined to reshape the universe in profound ways.

He also received more details about his second bloodline, which was the bloodline of a Beast Tamer. Klaus was surprised by some of the details he learned, but he couldn't wait to start using it.

As for the many other soul weapons he had received, he would review them all after finally exacting his revenge.

Fortunately, Paragon only wasted two days of his time before sending him away. Klaus then drifted into sleep, remaining for several more hours before finally waking up.

Of course, before waking up, Klaus had a dream in which he tied down all his incarnations and gave each one a good beating for their unruly behaviour.

He now understood why they could bring him to them.

It seemed that since he didn't die in any of his incarnations, he had instead become one with the Paragon Stars.

Because he relies on the Paragon Stars for survival, he essentially is one with them—and, as a result, they could seek him out just as he could seek them.

...He could only push that thought aside and focus on the angel currently hugging him and peacefully sleeping on his chest.

Klaus gazed at the sleeping Hanna and smiled. However, he froze when he noticed something.

'I have become a Level 3 Great Sage,' Klaus said inwardly, sensing that his third Sovereign Core had formed. In fact, he could already tell and feel his fourth core forming as he lay in bed.

'Senior, what is happening?' Klaus didn't want to enter his soul sea yet.

For some reason, he could tell that if he wanted to get to the bottom of all the changes that had happened to him, he wouldn't be done even after two weeks.

So, he could only wait. And so he sought out the senior who had forgotten all the secrets he revealed while inside the dungeon.

[I am no expert in Starlights, but I believe that since she is like a key or doorway to a Paragon Star, through your bond, she was influencing your cultivation in an abnormal way.]

Klaus didn't immediately say anything. Instead, he started checking his body to see if something had happened.

After a quick check, he noticed a star tattoo glowing on his back, and another star tattoo had appeared on Hanna's forehead.

'I see. This is something only Starlights can do. I wonder if she and Queenie sleep in the same bed as me, and I will level up faster.'

Klaus would certainly put that to the test.

He remained in bed, brushing Hanna's hair for a while until she woke up a couple of hours later.

"You know, for someone who doesn't want to become my woman, you most certainly know how to distance yourself from me," Klaus said with a smile, looking back at the blue-haired beauty in his arms.

"Do you want me to leave?" Hanna asked, glaring at him.

"Definitely not," Klaus replied with a fake smile.

"Then shut up and enjoy the moment. This is the only chance you will get to stay close to me," Hanna said with a smile, then buried her face in his chest.

"Yes, madam. I will savour this moment," Klaus, as shameless as ever, hugged her and stayed in bed for another hour until Hanna asked a question that made him remember the good old days when he was just a small boy called Haus.

"Do you want to bathe?" Hanna asked, and Klaus nodded.

"Then you'd better get into the bathroom and take a shower—you stink," Hanna said with a smile, fully aware Klaus was thinking something shameless.

Enjoy exclusive content from My Virtual Library Empire

"Haniva would never say this to me. I guess you're not her," Klaus replied, faking hurt as he stood up and began walking to the bathroom.

"You know, I promised I would marry Haniva when I grew up, but seeing you now, I think I'll break that promise. You'll die single," Klaus laughed and ran into the bathroom.

The next second, Hanna darted after him, and soon the two were staring each other in the eye. Klaus smiled at her, but Hanna glared back.

"Take back what you said," Hanna demanded.

"Take what back?" Klaus asked.

"That you broke your promise. Take it back," she said, looking sad for some reason.

"Fine. I was just joking... How can I break a promise I made to my one and only partner in crime?" Klaus said, cupping her cheeks.

Hanna smiled and removed his shirt. Within seconds, Klaus was naked and sitting in a bath. Hanna followed suit, removing her clothes and revealing her flawless body.

She looked at Klaus and gave him a 'don't get any funny ideas' look. Klaus just smiled, and the two began bathing together. Hanna helped him, and he returned the favour.

When they were done, they each dressed. But before leaving, Hanna walked toward him and hugged him.

"When you're done with whatever you have to do, take Mom on a vacation and spend some time with her. She misses you dearly, and a lot has been happening. She seems tired, but she kept going for you and everyone."

Klaus nodded.

He had plans to take his family on a vacation after leaving the dungeon anyway.

However, now that the enemies had shown their fangs, he would, without a doubt, use this chance to deal with them before going on the family trip.

Hanna tiptoed and kissed him on the cheek before holding his hand and walking out of the room, where his family was waiting for him to come out and tell them his plan involving the Legacy Clan alliance.

THE LAST PARAGON IN THE APOCALYPSEC586 Reunion

Klaus's women were all over him when he entered the hall with the clingy Hanna. Unfortunately for her, before she could keep clinging to Klaus, his women swooped in and took him away from her.

She could only go sit with her mom, who hugged her to stop her from crying. Well, Klaus's mom was just being dramatic and struggling to hold back her emotions.

It had been months since she last saw Klaus, and as a result, she currently didn't have much control over her emotions. Thankfully, she wasn't the only one sitting idle...

Hanna and Kathy were with her.

Speaking of Kathy...

"Are you alright, Kathy?" Hanna asked when she noticed Kathy staring dangerously at Klaus, her eyes full of curiosity.

"I don't know..." Kathy said, not taking her eyes off Klaus.

"Is there something about him that caught your interest?" Klaus's mom, of course, chose the shameless route and decided to shoot her shot for her son.

Unfortunately for her, Kathy wasn't about to check out any Dragon Rod just yet.

"For some reason, I feel like bowing down and worshipping him. There's this energy coming from him that makes me want to follow him forever," Kathy said, forcing Klaus's mom and his sister to look in his direction.

He was busy showering his ladies with kisses and sneaky, shameless massages.

"Hey, Klaus, hurry up! Something's wrong with Kathy." Hanna said. Klaus's mom looked at Hanna, who was clearly jealous but tried to hide it with a laugh.

'Something happened between them while they were away,' she said to herself, but she didn't pursue it. After showering his women with kisses, he looked at his friends.

"You guys have become stronger," Klaus said, looking closely at Kilian, who he could sense a powerful power coming from him.

"Yeah, well, it seems you have become much more of a Monster since you are now a Great Sage. But even so, I think we can now handle you in a group battle," Daniel said, already itching to have a clash with him.

"Maybe after you singlehandedly kill 7 Level 3 Ascendents or 8 Level 5 Ascendents at the same time, only then can you have a chance at scratching my back."

Klaus joked, hearing Daniel's words. However, while it sounded like a joke to him, his words were far more shocking to his women and friends.

"You're joking, right?" Queenie asked, looking at him with eyes that demanded answers.

"Let's not dive into it. It's been hard on you guys, but now that I'm here, I'll handle it. You can just relax and watch me deal with some idiots who think they're supremes."

Klaus jumped into his mom's embrace, making the shameless mother wrap her arms around him like a bear. She was definitely shedding a few tears...

The ladies chose to ignore them and started looking at each other. Klaus's friends were also exchanging glances.

They had planned to ask him to take them into the battle to come... but now, after hearing that he had singlehandedly killed seven Ascendants and even another eight Ascendants, they could tell he wouldn't need their help.

Bummer but understandable...

Not that he needed their help. He could ask them to come, but Klaus wasn't about to share the headlines with his friends.

"Mom, if you keep crying like this, I'll feel guilty every time I have to go away for a while," Klaus said, looking at the most beautiful mother in the world.

"Tsk" His mom just chuckled and wiped her eyes, showing she wasn't really crying.

'She was faking it. Unbelievable' Klaus and his friends couldn't believe their eyes seeing this. This is actually true for Klaus, who was actually feeling guilty for making her worry all these months.

'If only I could spank her for being unruly'

Klaus chose to pocket that for now. Instead, he turned toward Kathy, who was also looking at him.

"Congratulations on your breakthrough, Kathy... You have become a beauty," Klaus said with a smile. Kathy nodded, then asked a question that left everyone except Klaus puzzled.

"Can I have just a drop of your blood?" she asked, making everyone stare at her. Did she just ask for his blood?

Klaus simply smiled and responded.

"Sure..."

The next second, Klaus transformed, taking on his elf form, leaving every jaw hanging. While he was still Klaus, he now appeared as an elf, thanks to his bloodline transformation ability.

Though he could have allowed Kathy to drink his blood in his human form, it wouldn't have been as effective. Paragon had already explained more about the Star Monarch bloodline and its immense power when used in its true form.

Now, he had become an elf, and in doing so, he had become extraordinarily handsome. So handsome, in fact, that even his mother's eyes were wide open.

"No need to look so shocked. Nadia is also an elf. I'm not the first, and I won't be the last."

While he doesn't know how Earth played a role in his past lives, he saw enough to know he was once on Earth, and it is true that he left the dungeon.

Perhaps... he will find out more when he begins exploring the ancient ruins in 7 months' time.

However, the fact that two people, along with a third, who had awakened their bloodlines seem to have transformed suggests that, soon, when everyone starts to awaken their bloodlines, things will change.

Miriam has now become a race called Supreme Human, a race akin to High Elves. She is still human but at a Supreme level.

Of course, it wouldn't take a genius to know that if she somehow has a fateful encounter, she could be the first ever to become a Celestial Human.

Klaus is now a Human, Elf, and an Unknown.

Paragon told him he should name his race after awakening Fruity's bloodline. However, for some reason, he wasn't comfortable with that, so for now, he would see himself as an Unknown.

As to when or what it meant and what he was capable of, he would find out soon enough.

"Here you go." Klaus pricked his finger and extended his hand to Kathy.

She took it into her mouth and began sucking and licking his finger like a lollipop. A few minutes into her licking and sucking, she stopped and sat down.

"Hanna, take her to your room. Kathy will need a few days, or maybe a week, to evolve," Klaus said casually, making everyone wonder what the hell had happened.

One minute, she was licking and sucking his blood; the next, she entered a meditative state that seemed on the verge of making her breakthrough.

"Klaus, what the hell just happened? And how are you an elf?" Lucy asked, unable to make sense of any of it.

"I won't tell you... But if there's any joy in it, know that after I'm done with the legacies, all of you will finally awaken your bloodlines. You can find out then."

Lucy and the ladies gritted their teeth, but they could only watch as Klaus reverted to his human form.

If only they knew they were in the presence of the one, they once called the Calamities' Tamer... For he was the first in history to tame all three Great Calamities and made them his fateful servants.

This pissed off the heavens...

THE LAST PARAGON IN THE APOCALYPSEC587 Bold Declaration (1)

"This is KKKickinIt with the controversial news." On screens all around the world, the most-watched news and gossip channel was broadcasting, and their favorite reporter was smiling at them through their screens.

"I know most of you have been wondering where I've been for the past few days. Whether I was kidnapped or whether I stopped posting entirely. The answer is... I will never stop posting.

I love you all, and the thought of stopping updates for my dear listeners and readers is just too puzzling. Now, I wouldn't want to waste much time, so why don't I disclose where I've been these past few days?"

KKKickinIt smiles and continues.

"The past week has been all about the Legacies, Clans, and Dark Order declaring war on Klaus Hanson—the youngest warrior ever to climb the warrior charts and accomplish mind-numbing feats that no warrior had ever achieved before.

The past week had been tragic as we all witnessed the attack on the Klaus family. As of now, it hasn't been disclosed whether Klaus's mother and his rumored War Goddess girlfriend are still alive or not, but that will be revealed soon.

Yes... I am currently with Klaus Hanson, who has invited me for an interview where he plans to issue his own statement to the Legacy Clan Alliance and the entire world.

The Legacy Clan Alliance has made their stance, the Overlords have made their stance, and now it's Klaus's turn to make his stance. So, without further ado, I will begin.

The moment KKK, as she preferred to be called, made her statement, those watching the show from all over the world turned their full attention to the video and began watching intently.

After the Legacies and the Clans released news of the attack on the Klaus family, Klaus's fans became enraged, with some clashing with haters of Klaus Hanson.

Luckily, Uncle Ziggy and his other uncles had once again gone off on one of their mysterious adventures so they weren't around to cause chaos like when he was attacked by the dark order.

Now, Klaus is back to issue his own statement.

"Welcome to the controversial news, Klaus." Klaus's image appeared on the screen, and everyone's eyes widened. In fact, even married women widened their eyes when they saw the handsome face on their screens.

"Thank you, KKK," Klaus responded with a small smile that left KKK blushing faintly. The ladies watching didn't like that, but all they could do was watch.

Of course, Queenie, Ohema, and Nadia weren't there, as they didn't want their relationship with Klaus to be known just yet... but it will be soon.

"Well, Klaus, you invited me here, so care to tell everyone why we are here?" KKK said, reluctant to get down to business. Klaus just smiled.

"I know you want to ask a lot of questions, so why don't we get down to business? It's not like I'm rushing to get things over anyway," Klaus said, acting all human when, in fact, the current version of him and the one inside were clashing against each other.

"Then I won't be polite," KKK said, asking her first question.

"Many are wondering—and when I say many, I include myself—is it true that the War Goddess of the Eastern Region is your girlfriend? And if yes, how? I know many would want to know... Lol," KKK asked, and Klaus just smiled.

"Yes... War Goddess Miriam is my girlfriend, and as to how I managed to pull it off... Well, I did it with my awesomeness and handsomeness. Just between me and you, she fell for me at first sight," Klaus said, moving closer to KKK.

Everyone heard it, and Miriam, who was watching the show, turned red with embarrassment. Klaus was just too shameless.

In fact, it was he who had been obsessed with her breasts for months, drooling in his sleep over the thought of planting his face within them. Now that he had succeeded, he shifted all the blame to Miriam.

"Your sense of humor never changes," KKK said. Instead of calling it shamelessness, she branded it as humor. Of course, every Klaus fan watching this gave him a thumbs-up while the haters seethed.

"I don't see why I shouldn't be classic. I mean, you're practically best friends with the Overlords. They only watch your channel... In a way, they're obsessed with you," Klaus said, and KKK's jaw dropped.

"Lol... You didn't know, huh? Well, I happen to be friends with Overlord Nari, and from what I've seen so far, she's obsessed with your channel.

She even told me their leader introduced them to it," Klaus said with a grin, fully aware of the rising killing intent emanating from one part of the house.

Queenie was clearly plotting to challenge him to a spar the next time they had free time. During that spar, she'd undoubtedly break a few of his bones for outing her like this.

And it wasn't just her; the overlords watching, though smiling, also held the same thought. The fact that Klaus was out of the dungeon meant he had succeeded. While they were happy, they also wanted to discipline him for his unruly behavior.

"Thanks for letting me know." Kkk was on cloud nine at the moment. In fact, all over the world, everyone was happy for her.

While Klaus might have been joking about what he said, a few months ago, KKKickinIt reported on a discovery that was made in the academy.

Apparently, Klaus and Overlord Nari are friends. So hearing him confirm their relationship now authenticates what he said about the overlords liking controversial news—obsessed is the right word here.

"It's shocking to know you have an Overlord as a friend," KKK commented.

"Well, it's one of those situations you don't have a say in. Overlord Nari is actually a great friend," Klaus said with a smile, knowing the word "great" should have been "wicked."

Nari is wicked by design.

Just a day ago, they received a report that Nari was awake but in seclusion. Strangely, she had reached the peak of the Ascendent stage and would be breaking through in a month or two.

Though that is bad, Klaus wasn't concerned like before he entered the dungeon...

"Well, it's you, so there's no telling what you couldn't do. That being said, while I still have many questions, we can pocket those and get down to business. Stay updated with My Virtual Library Empire

A week ago, your family was attacked by the Legacy Clan Alliance, and then they declared war against you. It has been days since this declaration.

Do you have plans to respond, or are you calling for a negotiation instead? The current odds stacked against you are overwhelming.

Also, from reports, it seems some other Great Families and Mercenary Factions have joined the alliance. It appears your situation with the Legacy Alliance isn't on stable ground now.

So tell us, are you responding with hostile intent? Do you plan on taking the easy way out and surrendering? Or perhaps, are you considering seeking help from your Overlord friend?"

KKK asks all the right questions.

All over the world, everyone watching held their breath as they waited for what Klaus had to say. They all knew that what he would say now would determine the outcome of things in the coming days.

It might be a war that would cause great damage or a harmless surrender that would end things much more simply and peacefully...

Klaus looks into the camera and smiles...

"You know, my father once said, 'When you poke the beehive, you will know how the sting feels.'" Klaus smiles, and then his face turns into a cold expression.

"Since they want war... In two days, two Legacy Families, three Clans, and the rest of their allies will know what despair feels and looks like."
