Chapter 1
Aisha stood confidently at the networking event, sipping her glass of champagne as she scanned the room for potential clients. The venue was a luxurious hotel in the heart of Lagos, with its high ceilings and gleaming marble floors. The atmosphere was lively, with the sound of jazz music floating through the air and the hum of conversation filling the room.
Aisha's event planning business, "Dream Events," was thriving, but she was always on the lookout for new opportunities. She had spent hours preparing for this event, making sure every detail was perfect, from the flower arrangements to the catering. And it was paying off – she had already spoken to several potential clients and was feeling optimistic about the future of her business.
As she scanned the room, her eyes landed on a tall, dark, and handsome man standing across the room. He was surrounded by a group of people, laughing and chatting with ease. But when his eyes met Aisha's, he felt a spark of attraction that he couldn't ignore.

Aisha laughed. "I know, I know. But there's something about him that feels different. And he's really interested in getting to know me better."
Nneoma chuckled. "Well, just be careful, okay? You deserve someone who will treat you right."
Aisha nodded, even though Nneoma couldn't see her. "I will, don't worry. I'll keep my guard up."
Meanwhile, Ryan couldn't stop thinking about Aisha. He had been to countless networking events, but none of them had ever caught his attention like she had. He couldn't wait to see her again and get to know her better.
The next day, Ryan sent Aisha a text message. "Hey, Aisha. I had a great time talking to you last night. Would you like to grab dinner with me tonight?"
Aisha's heart skipped a beat as she read the message. She hadn't expected him to reach out so soon, but she was excited at the prospect of seeing him again.
"I'd love to," she replied. "But can we make it tomorrow instead? I have a prior commitment tonight."
Ryan smiled as he read her response. "Tomorrow sounds perfect. I'll pick you up at 7 pm?"
Aisha agreed, and they made plans for the next evening. As she waited for their date, Aisha couldn't help but feel a mix of emotions. She was excited to see Ryan again, but she was also nervous about opening herself up to him.
