Chapter 26 - War’s Roar

The dawn broke crimson, painting the sky like the blood soon to be spilled. The two packs faced off on the scarred battlefield — my old pack, battered but determined, backed by the hidden warriors, and my father's ruthless forces, snarling like cornered beasts.

Steel clashed with claw, howls ripped the air, and the ground trembled beneath our fury.

I fought like a man possessed, every strike fueled by years of betrayal and pain. Then, amidst the chaos, I confronted my father. His eyes burned with the same wild fire I saw in my own reflection.

We clashed — pack leader to pack leader — raw and brutal. Finally, with a fierce roar, I subdued him, holding him at my mercy.

Bloodied and exhausted, he looked up at me, eyes heavy with regret.

"I'm sorry… for everything," he rasped, voice breaking. "For the pain I caused. For the darkness I brought upon us all."

The weight of his words struck the pack into silence. Even our fiercest warriors faltered.

His wounds were too deep; life slipping fast. As the last breath escaped him, I saw not just a bitter enemy, but a broken father.

The war was won, but the cost was written in the scars left on my soul.

Could I forgive the man who'd torn my world apart? Or would I let hatred consume me, turning me into the very monster I'd sworn to fight?

My heart wavered. The battle outside was over, but the war inside had only just begun.
