Chapter 3 - Chapter 3: This ain't no game

his sReceiving the message prompt from the status board Claude decided to find the location of the abnormal convinced they were clustered about in a certain direction.

Seeing nothing made him concerned internally questioning the validity of the message still the thing had no credibility yet so no serious harm done to his syche.

About to move on he felt his heart bet again accelerating as if manifesting it's own version of a danger prompt.

'Since they aren't sideways they should be up.' He thought smirking turning to the ceiling.

His perturbed expression clearly indicated he was met with not quite what he was expecting. There was nothing there contrary to what he assumed to be the plot the problem was that the size difference seemed overwhelming.

All ten of them were on the wall crawling about no sound no anything. To him it was a strange siht seeing zombie like figures silently and naturally scale the cieling of the academy.

'First they can run next they can scale walls these things are too weird.' Claude thought to himself a glint of admonition passing through his slightly violet colored eyes.

Disgust once gain welled up from deep within. It was directed at the creatures that vehemently refused to align with his fantasies.

Since gazing up was uncomfortable for him he decided to look away; in actuality it was more of an urge than a preference.

"How do i even eliminate them when they are way up there?" Claude asked the vast expanse of air expecting an answer. This time it actually did, in the form of the status board

(Hybrids discovered candidate aroused their interest. Candidate's life is in danger.)

The status board flashed a red hue a diferent one which obviously carried the implications of danger.

Thinking fast he jumped aside landing on the cold tils before screeching sounds accompanied by the dropping of the things.

"Please hope they die from fall damage." Claude thought to himself silently observing with a wanting expression the pile of abnormal

A slight twitch dissuaded his daydreams.

'Wait I don't know how to fight, wait something's wrong why am I...' He failed to complete his thought process when the horde was slowly catching up to him.

The obvious strategy for a person who had been living in this hellhole they deemed Tilisi Academy is to utilize it's cramped walls as a medium for narrowing the battle strain he ran down the peculiarly narrowing halls loudly daring the abnormal to follow him.

Choosing that strategy Claude had overlooked some major things he had deemed as common knowledge: one the assumption that since they could scale walls they couldn't be as fast as the first thing.

Quickly closing the distance the mistake was something the zombie like creatures just could not let go off. Soon the distance was too negligible to maintain and the things were now outstretching their decaying hands trying to restrain him

The second thin he had overlooked was that the designs did not change, running down the halls he thought were familiar he had betted on a sudden turn that would throw the abnormals of track, seeing none the man gritted his teeth hard cursing his newly turned rotten luck.

At this rate he would be swamped although he did not know the physical prowess of these abnormals he knew if they had such ridiculous speed it would be too much of an imbalance to have weak strength.

Done with assumptions he did not want to face them thinking he had some sort of untested advantage of them due to isostacy between his agility and their strength. Having run for minutes on end his stamina soon began to be a problem.

'Why haven't they caught up to me yet they should be taster than me?'

He thought as he slowly looked behind him seeing no being in sight he wondered if the abnormals lost interest.

"Weak...one...fight...us"

A voice from his front sounded transferring his lingering attention to the area in front of him, the scene was the same zombies in front of him.

'How fast are these things?'

Before he could even be done lamenting his situation one zombie blitzed to his position placing its slowly decaying hand on his neck. At first there was little to no strength in the arm but live an avalanche it gained momentum quickly.

Soon the grip began to be intolerable as it blocked blood flow to the point his dark skin started to turn an unsightly mass of veiny mess. He could slowly feel his life escape him, his resistance was futile nothing he did made the zombie's grip lessen.

'I can't die here, I can't die here.'

He internally pledged as he increased the grip power hope was his fuel and it burnt brightly. Steadily he felt the grip lessen a subtle grin plastered on his face. The veins lessened and his excitement was above heaven.

"Once i get out you are d..." Claude tried threatening but seeing the ominous grin of the zombie, he felt something wrong.

The lessened grip suddenly came back about five times stronger he could even put a numerical value on it. At that moment he knew he was being toyed with.

"Weak...one...give us your...blood"

The zombie somehow said as the others who were silently watching blitzed to his position their nails extended becoming sharper. Simultaneously they all dug those sharp extended nails into his skin.

Although keratin in nature they all drew blood, being nine of them the rate was immense still no blood dropped on the halls instead they went into the zombie's skin their dead veins being rejuvenated by his blood. He could feel his life force leaving him

(Level drop experienced, current level, Life seed Lvl 1)

'I'm done for.' He thought as his heavy eyelids came to a close

Whe his eyes fully closed, they suddenly re-opened this time with a red hue

(Detected bug, Level rising exponentialy, Current level Pre-evolution Lvl 9, Bug could not be patched.)

"Shut the fuck up!" He now spoke in a low voice harshly at the blinking satus window.

Finally calming down his attention turned to the zombies.

"How dare you take this royal one's blood you are to pay with your life."

"Weak one....strong one...give us...."

Cut short Claude now extended his arms ripping his throat apart. The othere upon seeing their leaders purple blood all ra away.

Chasing after them with a demonic smile he instantly catches up to them.

(Administer has taken notice, bug will be re-sealed.)

The status blinked again.

"Damn these administers i will slaughter all of them for I am th..."

Claude tried saying but cut short the red hue turned back to brown. Now before the red Claude disappeared he had cornered the zombies to a wall now with Brown Claude in he wondered what to do

'Kill them, why am i here? No I should take advantage of this and kill these bastards.' He thought to himself. Before blitzing to the zombies

Having no weapon he chose the only natural one he had a punch. When the punch connected with the first one it was sent back a bit.

'It actually works.'

A smile reminiscent of the demonic one that flashed before he started his fist fight against nine different opponents.

A while later he is walking down the halls his skin torn at the fists purple blood specked on his clothes. He had bruised but nothing major

(Congratulations, candidate, you have eliminated nine abnormals level rises to Life Seed Lvl 5)

A rejuvenating energy surged from within healing his scars and his wounds.

'Leveling up heals all wound, huh?'

"Should probably get to the dispensary i can't let my fist end up the same way as before."

He said as he headed towards somewhere presumably the dispensary. Seemingly forgotten where it was he starts changing direction and coming back to them.

'Wait I should have been there already, why has it changed places?'

He started to think before suddenly he came across a door with a tag dispensary.

"Maybe the anemia was getting to me. Ati buildings changing places ujinga."

He said as he went into the room, the room wasn't state of the art but it was clean and neat a essential criteria for any hospital room.

Rummaging through the room a certain fear went through him, considering his past experiences with ambushes he wanted no hand in them. Good thing there was nothing here only the most prized possession for any person on the path of fist fighting

(Acquired D rank item, bandage.)

"I ended up coming here this year huh?"
