Chapter 6 - Real Identity

To say Eryx was lucky would be an understatement, because how in the world had he managed to see the same angel continuously in the past two days was something else. And he knew exactly what it was.

Destiny.

And no way in hell he was going to miss this opportunity. So he did the first thing that came into his mind, he walked right up to the angel he will claim soon enough and sat in front of her.

As expected she looked perfect, her clothes were a little baggy but she was all in black yet again. Her beautiful light brown eyes were shining in the sunlight that made her look heavenly.

But for once Eryx felt a smirk forming on his face when he saw the slight red hue that spread over the girl's cheeks. She was shy. She tucked one side of her long hair behind her ear and looked around awkwardly.

Cute.

Alina was dying right now, first of all she couldn't look at the man in the eye because those intense eyes were making her melt in her seat. She tried her best to not give off too much but couldn't do anything when her body decided to betray and she blushed.

The man in front of her was the definition of handsome so her state was pretty fair.

Finally gaining some strength she looked up front at the male who chuckled looking at her facial expressions.

When Alina looked up with those wide eyes, she looked like a deer in the headlights to Eryx, which made him chuckle.

"What's so funny? Is there something on my face?" ALINA asked creasing her eyebrows, but still noticing how the man's lips turned into an enticing boxy smile.

Eryx almost groaned at the melodious voice. He knew for a fact that this would be his favourite voice to listen to from now on.

"Nothing. But there is something on your face though." He replied leaning back on his chair, the smirk still present.

Alina looked seriously concerned now, she put up her hands and checked her face through them,

"What?" She asked with big bambi eyes looking at Eryx.

Who had almost cooed out loud at the expression but stopped himself and cheekily replied, "Beauty."

Now that made Alina annoyed and she glared at the male, but her cheeks of course said otherwise.

To Eryx, Alina just looked like an angry bunny.

"Why are you here?" ALINA asked trying to avoid those intimidating eyes.

"To see you of course." Eryx replied still staring at her with fond eyes. He had leaned forward and had his head on his palm and an elbow on the table.

"I don't remember calling you. Hell I don't even know you." Alina replied sassily. She crossed her arms at her chest and tried to look tough.

"Well let's change that shall we? Hi, My name is Eryx Vantae, it's nice to meet you little bunny." Eryx replied not even realising what he just did.

Alina looked at him skeptically,

"First of all i am not little, second my name is not little bunny!" Alina said pouting.

"Well it's not my fault you know, you didn't exactly tell me your name."

Alina groaned lowly and looked at Eryx with angry eyes challenging him, to which Eryx just stared at him still smiling.

And Alina just knew that this man isn't gonna give up so with a sigh he replied, "Alina Walker."

"Okay so Alina Walker, that's a pretty name just like you, but i still prefer the other name. But honestly though why so defensive little bunny?" Eryx said and Alina looked at him and then at her coffee.

She did kind of like the company of the other though, the man was very handsome and gave this comfortable aura. No matter how much she tried there was no reason to dismiss him.

"Am sorry, i tend to get defensive around new people. But it's nice to meet you too Eryx Vantae." Alina said smiling and Eryx swore he could have died right there and then. Because this time she was smiling at him, not anyone else but him, and that alone was the best feeling ever.

"It's okay. I get it. So wanna have coffee with me?" Eryx asked softly.

Honestly he himself was surprised at his odd behaviour. It was like this was a completely different person. He rarely ever smiled but this little bunny had managed to make him not only smile but chuckle too.

Alina picked up the cup of coffee on the table and showed it to him,

"Too late to ask."

Eryx didn't even realise when his own lips turned into a slight pout looking at the coffee. He didn't even realise the adorable smile Alina gave when she saw how innocent he looked glaring at the cup.

"You can always buy me another drink you know, I don't like coffee anyway." Alina said to which Eryx's face immediately lit up and he called the waiter.

"Definitely, so what would you like, little bunny?" He asked as the waiter approached them.

"A banana milk would do." She replied cutely and Eryx mentioned the waiter to get it as soon as possible.

"So tell me about yourself adorable little bunny?" Eryx asked.

"Aren't you too straightforward? We clearly just met and you're already flirting!" Alina said genuinely curious.

"Can't help it you know, when___" he cut himself off when suddenly Alina's eyes went wide towards a particular direction.

She had just roamed her eyes around to avoid looking at the intense amber gaze. But her own eyes went wide when she realised the guy she was spying on was now standing at the door of the cafe about to leave, still stealing glances at her. And the second their eyes met, both of them stood up.

As soon as Alina stood up so did Eryx in confusion. And as soon as she stood up the blond head ran out of the cafe which of course made Alina run out as well which then of course made Eryx run after him.

"Alina?" Eryx yelled as he was confused why she was running after the man like her life depended on him.

"Stop before it's too late. I knew you were more than just an eye witness, I will catch you today." Alina shouted and ran even faster.

Eryx was trying to catch up to Alina's speed but it was almost impossible, because she was way too fast and surprisingly even the blond head was pretty fast too.

But when he heard that a sudden realisation hit him.

Alina was a cop.

"Great just fucking great!"
