Chapter 5 - Chapter 5

Chapter Five: Leirom

Silas

I did not sleep a wink and by the time my mind finally got tired overthinking, the sun was already beaming on my face.

Who would sleep in my situation?

I thought of how my mother was. Vincent will probably look for me, but he might forget me as years pass by, but my mother, my poor mother who has yet to accept her husband's death, now lost her oldest son. How will she be able to cope?

Come to think of it, I forgot to ask how they will send me back once I succeed. Will they turn back time? Or will I be transferred to another body?

Whatever it is. I just want to go back to them.

I stood up with a sigh and decided to prepare for my first day as a servant. I washed my face and stared at the face of Silas, the seventeen-year old boy I borrowed body from. Silas is a pretty boy and he looked like the young boy who played as Peter Pan. We both have brown hair, but his eyes are green while mine is brown. He has feminine features and it's no wonder those bandits wanted to sell me as a sēx slave.

I stepped out of the quarters and I was met with my fellow busy servants with some platoon of guards, probably in training. I was able to make out Eon's face who was skipping among the crowd to get to me. Stopping by to bow to his elders.

"You're awake. Good," he shoved a white uniform like his to me and I took it. "Change into this so we can start your orientation. I will orient you about everything you need to know and tour you around the palace. Then we will look for what position you can get."

Taken. So he knew I was taken and did not willingly come here. Does that mean it happens often?

"Don't give me that look. We are in the same position here, Silas. Some unfortunate children were sold by their own parents, and some unfortunate children caught by bandits and sold here." Eon said, as if reading my mind.

"And which one are you?"

Eon smirked and I was mildly surprised that he was able to make such an expression with that innocent face of his.

"Me? Oh, neither. Because I willingly left and came here. Enough talking. We have a long day ahead so get moving!"

He pushed me inside and I quickly changed. I stared at myself and frowned, not liking how I looked like I would enter priesthood. When I was done, he toured me around the palace, showing me every place while giving me some instructions and heads up. The palace was huge and it apparently had thousands of workers from nobles to servants. The high-ranking officials are mostly the creatures and only a handful are human while the servants are all humans.

So far, I found out that there are werewolves, vampires, demons, elves, fairies, ogres and giants. Surprisingly, unlike what earth pictured them, the creatures of Eldoria are mostly gorgeous people. They are not hideous or scary-looking.

The vampires are as white as snow with different eye colors and they move quickly. The demons have horns, but their horns come in different shapes. The elves are thin and they have vines wrapped around their arms and legs. They have pointed ears and sharp eyes. So far, I have only seen three giants and I think they are at least 8 feet tall. The ogres are mostly knights and guards. I heard there are mermaids and mermans, but they mostly live on an island.

"You should remember the names of the leaders of each department. As you probably noticed, you can recognize them by their hats. The more pins they have, the higher their rank is. As for women, you can tell their ranks by the ornaments on their head. If it's silver, they are a lady, if gold, they are a madam. Always greet them and pay your respect because there is a punishment if you fail to do so."

"What about the royal family?" I asked as we were in front of the gate that leads to the royal palace where the royal family is. There are some ogre guards on post and some are walking around.

"King Waharat is our current king. He's the oldest werewolf and he's also the most powerful. His wife and his Queen, Queen Kanae is the most beautiful woman you will ever see. She's a succubus. They have three children. The Crown Prince Waian is twenty-five years old, the second child Prince Ekish is fifteen and the youngest is Princess Sara, she's eight. Prince Ekish and Princess Sara both inherited their father's genes."

Prince Ekish is fifteen so the one I need to change is the eldest, Prince Waian, right?

"How about Prince Waian? What is he?"

Eon was silent for a moment and he looked serious all of a sudden. "We call the prince a curse prince but don't let anybody hear you call him that. He's originally a twin, but he apparently devoured his own twin so he was the only one who came out but..."

"But what?" I asked nervously, wanting to know more about the prince who held my fate in his palm.

Eon looked straight into my eyes. "The soul of his twin resides in his body and we call him Prince Leirom. He's an incubus and he's the most dangerous demon you can meet. They share the same body, but they are completely different. Prince Waian is nice and kind, Prince Leirom on the other hand is... bad news. Everyone is afraid of him."

I swallowed thickly, and the gorgeous face of the man with red eyes flashed in my mind. Surely it wasn't him, right? Surely fate isn't that cruel to assign me to an impossible mission, right? Because there is no way I can change someone like that.

"Oh, there he is. That is Prince Waian."

As if by coincidence, a man followed by servants and some nobles walked by a few steps away from us, and I froze. I could feel my soul leaving my body at the unfortunate reality slapping me in the face.

Because the man I was looking at resembles the man I saw last night, only he had a pair of blue eyes and a kind smile.

Fūck me.
