Q&A 1

This story is a multiverse story for those who don't know. I plan for Rayden to travel to other universes.

If anyone has a question, don't be afraid to ask. I'll try to answer them all.

These suggestions are courtesy of Pierre_2196.

S: I hope he will utilize both the dark and light sides.

A: He may tap into the dark side, but he will not focus exclusively on it.

S: I also hope he will be an anti-hero who does terrible things to benefit himself and his faction.

A: He won't commit terrible acts for their own sake; however, if it helps protect those around him and advances his goals, he is not opposed to it.

S: For the armor color, I propose black with red shades.

A: I like that color scheme, but I'm considering designing his armor in blue with some gold and maybe a hint of purple mixed in.

S: First of all, I hope his mother doesn't die. Since he grew up as a Mandalorian, there's no point in giving him a reason to become stronger; he already has that natural drive.

A: I agree. Plus, I really dislike that overused trope where the main character leaves only to return and find their family killed. While it provides motivation, there are other ways to give characters depth without resorting to such tragedies. I've read stories that did this, and I ended up dropping them afterward.

S: One suggestion: you could create an auxiliary chapter that features the main and important characters, their clans, their forces, and some of their possessions. Including images or even making a Discord server to share those images is a great idea.

A: I should create a chapter for the characters. I suggest making a Discord server if everyone is interested. I see authors who create pictures of their characters, and I really like those, but I'm not sure what program they use since my attempts haven't turned out well. If any of you have suggestions, please let me know!

S: I hope the credits he can use for the system can only be obtained from the system, so he can't use Republic Credits to buy things from the system, and he can't use System Credits to get Republic Credits. In this world, you're making it much harder for him to get really good things.

A: I see your point, and it would make it harder to acquire blueprints for tech. I would have to create a boatload of missions for Rayden to complete. He would be a wage slave to the system just to earn system credits unless I make big-paying missions. But I already set the system up so that the blueprint is 10x the base price of said item. Once you start looking into Star Destroyers, that price will be massive.

S: For the story, the new Mandalorians should ultimately prevail. You could have the main character, using the Force, discover a hyperspace route from the Mandalore system to a new, undiscovered system in the Unknown Regions, which he could name New Mandalore. He could even conquer an entire sector. This new system might contain a wealth of untapped Beskar, allowing him to lead his faction there and establish a Mandalorian empire. While they won't abandon their territories in the Mandalore sector, he could strike a deal with the new Mandalorians, permitting them to keep their territories but limiting them to a small portion of their clan for defense and ancestral purposes. Most of their clans would need to relocate to uphold Mandalorian traditions.

A: You read my mind. So, just relax and keep reading.

S: He could take more Mandalorian wives, like Bo-Katan, among others.

A: That's possible. I'm not ruling it out for now.

S: He could rally all the clans that want to maintain their Mandalorian traditions under his leadership.

A: He is still many years away from ruling himself, but he could help persuade more clans to join his House.

S: If you want him to join the Jedi for a more complete education, one idea could be that his mother has been undercover with a criminal organization for years. The main character was an orphaned child she found and trained in the Jedi ways. This could serve as a vague explanation for how he joins the Jedi.

A: That could happen, but I doubt the Jedi would allow Elyse to bring a 5-year-old Rayden into their ranks. Even if Elyse claims she found him and has been training him for years, it raises the question of why she didn't return sooner.

S: Otherwise, you could have him join the army of the Grand Republic as a general after being hired as a mercenary because they are struggling and lacking command officers.

A: That is a good idea. It would allow him to meet and recruit people after the war.

S: You could have his battle force centered around the Mandalorians, who command both ships and ground forces and serve as his true elite forces. In contrast, the remainder of his troops could consist of droids that he has built, allowing for common soldiers and maintenance units to be organized as the Eternal Empire and the Eternal Alliance.

A: I like the idea of mixed, versatile armies and militaries because they help address various challenges you might face. We'll see how this develops later on.

S: For the vehicles, equipment, droids, and starships of his military forces, we could consider reusing (with necessary updates for his time) assets from the Eternal Empire, Eternal Alliance, Separatist Droid Army, and the Grand Army of the Republic.

A: He has the opportunity to acquire and modernize old technology, so it makes sense to take advantage of that.

S: His personal ship could be a Fury-class Imperial interceptor, significantly modified to be superior in every aspect. Meanwhile, his flagship could be a Harrower-class dreadnought, 2,000 meters long, or, if you want to exaggerate, 5,000 meters long. These could also serve as the backbone of his fleet and be designed to be as large as Star Destroyers.

A: I'm leaning more towards a modified Imperial Corvette for his personal ship. The Harrower is a nice counter to the Venator, and perhaps we could change it to carry more starfighters.

S: One idea to quickly increase his midichlorian count could be to give him a mission where he faces Obi-Wan in a training fight. If he defeats Obi-Wan, he could gain a midichlorian count of around 14,000. We could also have him do the same with Anakin. Of course, this could be done gradually over several weeks until he reaches that number.

A: I can assign him a mission or two that would increase his midichlorian count without any financial cost. For example, with the blueprints, I want to ensure that they become so expensive at higher levels that Rayden will have to choose between slightly increasing his midichlorian count or purchasing a new blueprint. Once he reaches Anakin's midichlorian level, he would have a strong connection to the Force, but the Force wouldn't be his only asset. We also can't forget about his physical capabilities.

S: You could give him an extremely difficult mission, where, as a reward, he would receive a serum that allows him to increase his body, abilities, and intelligence to peak human physical strength, including longevity (humans in Star Wars can already live up to 150 years). Meanwhile, with his cellular regeneration, you could stop his aging.

A: Go idea, and I have another plan to increase his body—a process not from the Star Wars galaxy.

S: I hope he learns everything he can and becomes a Master of everything

A: He'll learn what he can, but unless I give him a big cheat to learn everything superfast, he will have to rely on others for those areas. Give the side characters a chance, man.

S: From my perspective, it's impossible to prepare for being a rival to the Empire in just 30 years (I'm counting when the films begin, just before Yarvin), so it's still essential for the story to continue in the main events, as in the original.

A: I agree that it would be hard, but not impossible, to become a rival to the empire since the Sith have been planning this for hundreds of years. Following the main events will help, but this is a fan fiction, and where is the fun if I just rewrite the main events? I'm still putting the piece together myself, so we will see how the story unfolds. I could make Rayden's Mandalorian Empire like Hutt space. Even the empire didn't rule there.

Man this was a long Q&A, was not expecting that but I'm glade people are interested in my story so thanks everyone. Let all see where Rayden's story takes us.
