Night fell, and everyone was filled with anticipation for what was going to happen tomorrow. Trunks lay on the rooftop, already having formed a plan to deal with Zamasu and Black Goku.
He could guarantee that those two would meet a very miserable end.
Just as Trunks was lost in thought, Bulla quietly approached from behind.
She hesitated a little before speaking: "Brother… tomorrow, can I come along with you too?"
Trunks stood up, feeling a bit puzzled, and looked at her before asking. "Bulla, do you also want to join the battle?"
Bulla's gaze flickered, then her fists clenched tight.
"Yes! Brother! I have to go!" She said passionately.
Her reaction caught Trunks off guard because in her eyes, he saw a deep hatred, something he had never witnessed in Bulla before.
Trunks spoke gently: "In that case, you'll need Dad's approval. I don't have a problem with it. After all, Dad dotes on you the most. If you got hurt, he'd definitely blame me."
Hearing his response, Bulla grinned playfully, then jumped down from the roof. As always, she was heading straight for Vegeta to wheedle and pester him into agreeing.
Watching her leave, Trunks murmured to himself: "…That's a little strange."
No sooner had Bulla left than little Super Cell appeared beside him.
"Boss! Take me along tomorrow too, okay?" Super Cell asked eagerly.
Trunks turned to look down at him before speaking. "The time machine can't hold that many people. As it stands, it'll be Dad, me, Goku Ojisan, Buu… and probably Bulla too."
Super Cell's head drooped in disappointment as he replied. "Why can Buu go but not me? That's favoritism, Boss! Besides, I'm so tiny, I don't take up any space at all!"
Those words hit right at the heart of the issue. Why bring Buu? Trunks already had his reasons.
"Oh! Boss, if Buu's going, then isn't space on the time machine no problem? We can just stay inside Buu's belly, right? Just like how Broly's been living inside him all this time!"
Super Cell's suggestion struck Trunks like lightning. 'This was such an obvious yet ingenious solution, how had he not thought of it earlier?'
Trunks gave Super Cell a thumbs-up and nodded.
"Mm, not bad. That's a good idea."
Super Cell crossed his arms proudly, but the very next moment he said: "Boss, can you separate us for now?"
"Today, the five of us fused together. Let's split apart first, and then fuse again tomorrow."
Trunks looked at him, thoughtful.
They weren't the same as before; they now stood firmly on the side of justice.
And since they carried Saiyan genes in their bodies, Trunks had already experienced the surge of power they could grant him, which had allowed him to reach full-power Super Saiyan 4.
A smile spread across his face as he placed a hand on Super Cell. "Alright, I'll separate you guys."
Using the Forced Spirit Separation Technique, Trunks split Super Cell into five.
The five lively little Cells bounced around him in circles.
"Yay! We're free again!"
"Awesome!"
…
Looking at the innocent little Cells, a thought sprouted in Trunks' mind.
If the little Cells could transmit Saiyan energy to him… Could they also transmit the Power of the Heart to him?
With that thought, Trunks decided to test this seemingly absurd idea.
"Everyone, I need your help."
The words slipped from Trunks' mouth, and the little Cells immediately stood up straight.
"Boss, please speak!" ×5
Trunks grasped the hand of one of the little Cells and instructed: "All of you, hold hands, then hold onto me, and send me the power within your hearts."
This command made the little Cells pause and think.
"Do you mean like last time, when we gave you power? But Boss, with your strength now, you don't even need us to do that, right?" One of the little Cells asked in confusion.
Trunks shook his head and replied: "No, I don't need your power but the Power of the Heart. Close your eyes, all of you, and carefully feel that power within."
At his words, the little Cells obeyed one after another.
About a minute later, golden flowing light began to seep out from their bodies. In the darkness of the night, it looked dazzling beyond compare. The vast golden light filled the air, quickly drawing the attention of others.
Training inside, Vegeta opened the door to the gravity chamber, rushing out together with Son Goku.
They turned their gazes toward where Trunks was. At that moment, the golden light formed a massive cocoon, enveloping all six of them inside. The very next second, the golden radiance seemed to find its direction, surging like a stampede of wild horses and pouring entirely into Trunks' body.
Instantly, an indescribable feeling exploded within the energy pool of his body.
Trunks' eyes snapped open with a flash of comprehension in his gaze. He had already confirmed his suspicion. Just as he thought, the little Cells had already reformed themselves. Now they carried hearts of justice.
And that golden light was the proof.
Trunks slowly released their hands. At that moment, his entire body grew sharper, his presence more profound and a powerful aura erupted from him, suffused with divine ki.
The most obvious change was his hair, now glowing crimson, flowing freely in the wind.
"Boss's Ki… it's disappeared!"
"Completely… this is completely beyond perception!"
"Yeah! What's going on here?!"
The five little Cells stared in shock at the scene before them.
Whoosh--!
Vegeta and Son Goku instantly appeared in front of Trunks.
"Trunks!! What is this form?! Why has your Ki completely vanished?!" Like an overly curious child, Goku circled around Trunks, even lifting his arm from time to time.
Vegeta, however, wore a grave expression, waiting for Trunks' explanation.
But just then, chaos erupted on the other side.
ROAR---!
A golden Great Ape suddenly appeared on the land below, created by an artificial moon. And that golden Great Ape was none other than Bulla. Within seconds, the golden ape transformed into a humanoid form, Bulla had achieved Super Saiyan 4.
