Chapter 7 - Chapter 7: Summoning Shenron

"Brother Su Ming, the whole of Mount Frypan is on fire. If the Ox-King goes in, he might never come back out."

Goku didn't want to see his grandpa's fellow disciple die like that.

Bulma remained silent, quietly watching Su Ming without saying a word.

At moments like this, he was clearly the one in charge between the two of them.

She wouldn't object to his decision if anything, she felt he'd done nothing wrong.

Su Ming looked at Goku, understanding that it was his kind heart speaking.

But sometimes, too much kindness could bring disaster to oneself and to those around them.

"Goku, what if the person he tried to kill just now was your grandpa? What would you do?"

Only by reversing the roles and seeing from another's perspective could one truly understand how others feel.

That one question left Goku frozen in place. If it had been Grandpa he tried to kill... there's no way he'd have shown mercy.

He was simple, but not foolish and he listened when reasoned with.

Su Ming had always liked Son Goku, but there were certain parts of his personality he wasn't fond of.

He was too good-natured for his own good, and it often led to unpredictable trouble.

Goku didn't speak again.

Eventually, the Ox-King resigned himself. Under Su Ming's overwhelming pressure, he reluctantly put on the fireproof suit and stepped into the flames.

Fifteen minutes later...

The Ox-King staggered out of Mount Frypan looking absolutely miserable.

His suit had been almost completely incinerated, his body blackened with soot, all his hair burned off he looked like a bald, scorched middle-aged man, covered in burns.

Step by step, he limped over to Su Ming, every movement pulling at his face with pain.

Thud.

He knelt on the ground and held out the Dragon Ball with both hands.

Su Ming took the ball calmly.

With that, they now had six Dragon Balls only one remained before Shenron could be summoned.

Su Ming had no intention of extinguishing the flames of Mount Frypan for the Ox-King. He simply turned and left with the others.

Perhaps fate had other plans. Along the way, Goku ran into Chi-Chi, who was out looking for Master Roshi.

Their destinies had now crossed, and more would come in the future.

Goku brought her along to find Roshi and brought him back with them.

Su Ming followed along, once again returning to Mount Frypan.

Smack!

The moment Master Roshi arrived, having already heard about the Ox-King's crimes, his old, withered hand delivered a hard slap to the man's face.

The Ox-King flew backward, slamming into the wall with no resistance at all.

Yet he didn't get angry. Instead, he knelt and crawled back, kowtowing nonstop in remorse.

"Disciple has failed Master's teachings... I've strayed from the martial path and stepped into evil. From now on, I'll change my ways and never again rob or kill."

Master Roshi ignored him and turned toward Su Ming, bowing slightly.

"Thank you, young friend, for sparing his life. You have my deepest gratitude. Roshi bows to you."

They hadn't even fought, yet Roshi could clearly sense the vast power Su Ming carried nearly equal to his own.

If Su Ming had wanted to kill the Ox-King, it would've taken only one move.

Su Ming gave a small nod.

When the Ox-King saw him again, he couldn't help but feel a twinge of fear deep down especially since his own master had referred to Su Ming as a "young friend."

Master Roshi began preparing to extinguish the fire on Mount Frypan.

He removed his turtle shell and robe, revealing his dried-up, skin-and-bones body barely any flesh on him, looking like a skeleton with skin.

And then—

"Haah!"

In that moment, Su Ming saw something entirely different in the old man. His energy surged like a deep abyss, light coursed through his arms, and all of his power gathered into his palms.

The Ox-King exclaimed from the side, "It's here Master's ultimate move, the Kamehameha Wave!"

"Haa!!"

A brilliant blue beam burst from Master Roshi's hands, streaking across the sky like a meteor and slamming into the castle in the distance.

BOOM!

Su Ming immediately shielded Bulma behind him as scorching heat and gale-force winds tore through the area.

When the storm subsided, only wreckage remained. The castle had completely vanished, and all the treasure within had been vaporized by the sheer power of the Kamehameha.

"As expected... this really was Goku's signature move from beginning to end."

In that split second, Su Ming could feel how sharply Roshi's energy had condensed—channeling every bit of it into a single instant of explosive power.

In that moment, Roshi's energy far surpassed his own.

The Ox-King was full of praise. "Master Roshi's glory hasn't faded one bit. He truly deserves the title God of Martial Arts!"

Goku's eyes lit up, itching to learn such a powerful technique.

"Goku," Roshi said, "this move requires at least forty years of cultivation to perform. But with your talent, if you train under me, maybe you could pull it off in twenty."

The Ox-King chimed in, "That's right, Goku. Even I haven't mastered this technique yet. The Kamehameha is a move only the most advanced martial artists can use. You're still young—learn it when you grow up."

Goku looked disappointed. Quietly, he walked over to a corner, positioning his hands as if imitating the move, tracing the Kamehameha gesture.

The next moment—

A flicker of light appeared in his palms.

"Haa!"

A mini Kamehameha Wave shot out and blasted a car to pieces.

"Huh?!"

Everyone's eyes went wide. What the heck? They just said it takes forty years—and he just pulled it off?

Sure, the power was weak, but that's expected after all, he wasn't Roshi.

The Ox-King was shaking from head to toe.

This kid's power was terrifying. He himself had trained under Master Roshi for years and still couldn't perform a Kamehameha.

A genius. A freakish, once-in-a-generation genius.

Master Roshi had never seen anyone so talented before. Just by watching it once, Goku had learned his signature technique.

Bulma stared at Goku too, surprised he could learn it so easily.

Then she turned to Su Ming. "Xiao Ming, did you learn it?"

Su Ming responded with action.

He mimicked Goku's hand movements and fired a Kamehameha toward an open area.

The power was ten times stronger than Goku's. Slightly weaker than Roshi's version, but still overwhelming.

Everyone's jaws hit the floor.

So the two of them were just casually playing around? Competing to see who's more of a freak?

"Truly a case of the younger generation surpassing the old..."

Master Roshi shook his head in admiration. At such a young age, Su Ming already possessed energy not much inferior to his own.

Bulma couldn't contain her excitement. She threw her arms around Su Ming's neck, bouncing up and down with joy.

She'd always known it her Xiao Ming was the best!

After saying goodbye to Master Roshi, the group set off to find the final Dragon Ball.

But they weren't the only ones searching.

Before they could even get there, Pilaf and his crew tried to steal the Dragon Balls—only to be swiftly defeated by Su Ming, who claimed the final ball.

They found an open clearing.

Bulma laid out the six Dragon Balls they had collected. Goku simply placed his treasured Four-Star Ball alongside them.

Bulma raised her voice and shouted, "Come forth, Shenron! Grant my wish!"

In an instant, the sky darkened. Thunderclouds rolled in, blotting out the bright blue sky.

Golden light surged from the Dragon Balls, and a deep, mighty roar echoed through the heavens.

A majestic Shenron emerged, stretching hundreds of meters long, coiling through the air like a god.

"I am Shenron. Speak your wish I shall grant it."

His voice was filled with power and majesty.

Bulma paused for a moment, then turned to Su Ming.

"Xiao Ming, do you have a wish you want to make?"

"Huh? Bulma, you don't want to wish for something?"

"It's fine. I'm the heiress of Capsule Corporation what would I even wish for?

Go ahead. It's your moment."
