"Why are you so certain?" the Twin Goddesses asked directly.
Although Su Mo had already stated his intentions, most still held onto a sliver of hope.
After all, Su Mo was a god. Surely he wasn't so deranged that he actually wanted to destroy Little Garden, right?
They hadn't expected Indra's answer to be so definitive.
Hearing the Twin Goddesses' question and seeing the World-Honored One's inquiring gaze, Indra took a deep breath and said gravely, "With all due respect, you may not truly understand Su Mo."
"Why do you say that?" the World-Honored One immediately asked.
"Your majesties have likely collected all of Su Mo's records and are aware of all his accomplishments. Therefore, you subconsciously treat him as a member of the god species, or rather, as an individual who possesses a complete mythological cosmology," Indra said calmly.
"The defining characteristic of the god species is that they cannot defy their own Divinity. No matter what kind of god they are, no matter what methods they use, their ultimate goal can never contradict their Divinity."
"And Su Mo happens to possess the Kalki Divinity, the tenth avatar of Vishnu and the savior of the Indian pantheon. So, you all subconsciously view him as a savior among the gods, and on a subconscious level, you don't believe he would completely deviate from the path of the pantheons."
"That is indeed the case," the World-Honored One and the Twin Goddesses said, nodding in agreement after exchanging a glance.
Divinity is the foundation of a god's being. This was an undeniable fact in Little Garden. No god could defy their Divinity. A savior, even if they sided with a Demon Lord, would ultimately aim to save the world.
Even Indra, who had abandoned evil for good and whose external Divinity had changed, had the seeds of transformation sown within his original Indra Divinity through the concept of "apostasy." His core had not actually changed.
Therefore, it was only natural to treat Su Mo, who held multiple savior Divinities, as if he were the Son of God or Kalki himself.
"Is that not the case?" the Twin Goddesses asked, puzzled.
"Of course not," Indra shook his head immediately. "While Su Mo does possess the qualities of a savior, don't forget that he himself said during his battle with Azi Dahaka that he is both a god and a human. In fact, his self-identity leans more toward 'human' than 'god'."
At the mention of this, the three of them narrowed their eyes. They indeed remembered that statement vividly.
"Then what are you suggesting?" the Omega Goddess asked.
"I do not know the true origin of Su Mo's Divinity, but I believe you have all focused too much on his divinity, constantly trying to understand him through that lens, and in doing so, have overlooked his humanity," Indra stated his opinion.
"His humanity?" The Twin Goddesses exchanged a confused look.
"Correct," Indra nodded, delivering his conclusion. "If you set aside his Divinity, his powers, his Gifts, and all other external phenomena, and simply observe Su Mo's personal style of conduct, you will find that His Excellency is a type of individual with an exceptionally strong personal style and a logic that is abnormally simple and pure!"
"Su Mo's logic... simple? Pure?"
Hearing Indra's analysis, the Twin Goddesses looked at him in utter disbelief.
For Indra to give such an evaluation to the terrifying existence who had practically upended all of Little Garden was truly surprising.
Keep in mind, they had consulted the Laplace's Demon before this, and even the omniscient Laplace could not predict Su Mo's possible actions. Yet Indra thought he was simple?
Are you sure you're talking about Su Mo, that guy more terrifying than a Demon Lord, and not that reckless fool Shiroyasha?
"That's right!" Facing their surprise, Indra nodded with certainty. "Analyzing Su Mo from the anchor point of his Divinity won't work. He possesses far too many Divinities. Rather than studying his divinity, his seemingly inscrutable humanity is a better reflection of his thoughts."
Hearing this, the World-Honored One asked with great interest, "Then in your eyes, what kind of person is Su Mo?"
"He is a proud man," Indra answered without a moment's hesitation.
"Proud?"
Another unexpected answer, which caused the three Full Authority Domains' minds to momentarily short-circuit.
"What makes you say that?" the Twin Goddesses asked. "While Su Mo's actions are somewhat dangerous, his conversational demeanor doesn't seem to suggest that."
They had also spoken with Su Mo. If his inclinations weren't so dangerous, in their eyes, he was actually quite easy to get along with, much better than the average god.
"True pride is not arrogance in conversation, but the attitude toward the outside world reflected in one's actions," Indra explained.
"From the Asura King to the Asura clan, from Michael to the millions of gods, from the Son of God to all of Christianity, from the Absolute Evil Demon Lord to the billions of gods..."
"Su Mo has been in Little Garden for little more than a month, yet the enemies he has faced have consistently grown in exponential fashion. Even the most powerful individual would adopt a cautious attitude when facing billions of gods, not so casually make an enemy of them, and indeed, all of Little Garden. Yet, Su Mo did just that."
"After defeating Azi Dahaka, he could have avoided the enmity of the billions of gods by simply saying nothing."
"He could have done whatever he wanted, surrounded by the adulation of the billions of gods, without even needing to lie."
"No one would have expected the god who defeated Humanity's Last Embryo to make such a choice. Even a hero who prides themselves on their martial prowess wouldn't be so reckless as to add such difficulty for themselves."
"And yet, he did it anyway," Indra said, looking up at the three Full Authority Domains before him.
Faced with Indra's unspoken question, the World-Honored One pondered for a moment before answering. "You mean, it's because of his pride?"
"Mhm," Indra nodded. "Call it confidence or arrogance, but you can see from Su Mo's style that no matter what kind of problem he faces, he can't be bothered to lie and will face it head-on."
"Before the civil war in Christianity, when Su Mo had not yet gathered ten Sun Authorities or his Another Cosmology, his strength had not yet reached the level of a Full Authority Domain; he was only a 3-digit. But even then, he maximized the resources he could muster and successfully incorporated Christianity."
"Whether it was Michael's betrayal or his control of the battlefield, even looking back in hindsight, the strategic brilliance Su Mo displayed in that battle was astonishing. He even anticipated your arrival, World-Honored One, and had the spare capacity to deal with two Full Authority Domains simultaneously."
"To say that a powerhouse with such intellect doesn't know how to seek advantages and avoid disadvantages is a joke. Yet, he has now chosen the most dangerous and difficult path for himself. I can find no other explanation than his disdain for lying."
Indra laid out his judgment in one breath.
"And since he is such a proud man, the words he speaks are certainly not bluffs. Since he said he wants to build a human cosmology, we had best take it as the absolute, unadulterated truth!"
Indra's long speech concluded, and a silence fell over the hall on Mount Meru.
The expressions on the faces of the Twin Goddesses and the World-Honored One were complicated.
It wasn't that they didn't believe Indra's judgment. On the contrary, they fully accepted it. But it was precisely for that reason that their feelings were so complex.
Neither the Twin Goddesses nor the World-Honored One had ever imagined there would come a day when they would have to analyze someone's humanity from multiple angles just to predict their actions.
They had also never imagined that, in the face of this great upheaval in Little Garden, their greatest standard for judgment would be to trust in Su Mo's pride.
If word of this got out, the dignity of the gods and the status of the Full Authority Domains would surely plummet!
But even so, the facts could not be changed.
The future of Little Garden now rested on the thoughts of one man, Su Mo. No amount of analysis of his character could be considered too much.
With this thought, after a long silence, the World-Honored One looked to the Twin Goddesses.
"Based on this judgment, we must consider the worst-case scenario and prepare the most urgent contingency plan."
With all hope of a fluke completely extinguished, he pulled himself together and decided to take new measures.
"Urgent contingency plan?" the Alpha Goddess blinked, confused. "Do we have such a thing?"
The Omega Goddess also looked at the World-Honored One in surprise. "Are you saying there's an existence in this world that can restrain Su Mo?"
"No," the World-Honored One's reply to this question was rather blunt. "But we must still strengthen our bargaining chips as much as possible. At the very least, we cannot let him run rampant. So... the Dragon Sun Authority of Chen is still in your hands, correct?"
"Chenlong?" Hearing him mention this, the Alpha Goddess looked somewhat ashamed. Legally, these Sun Authorities should belong to Shiroyasha or Su Mo. Their current "rental" was no different from theft, but at this moment, they certainly couldn't return the Sun Authority and arm the enemy.
"The Dragon Sun Authority... You intend to summon her?" The Omega Goddess, on the other hand, quickly understood the World-Honored One's meaning, and her eyes lit up. "That might just work! With a Pure-Blooded Dragon's powerful defenses, Avesta's effect on her would be limited! Even Su Mo might not be able to handle her easily!"
"Correct," the World-Honored One nodded slightly, then looked up at the eastern sky and said with conviction, "As long as Kurma descends, the situation will surely get better!"
