(Sebastian's POV)
"AHHHH!!!!" I shouted as I sat up in what was a cold and dark room, "What the fuck?!"
I was panting heavily, my entire body throbbing as shivers ran down my spine. I had no clue what the actual hell just happened.
I was walking out of my building and all of the sudden, a car fell on my head?!
I slowed my panting down as I covered my mouth, trying to calm myself down. I couldn't help but feel anxious as the cold crept up on me.
"W-What happened?" I said softly, "Is this….? Wait….was that a trip? Was I high?! No, no, no….I swear I have been clean for a couple of days. I had withdrawals, sure….but…..no…..no….that wasn't a-"
"You're dead," a Voice said
I jumped up, "What?!"
I turned to see a figure sitting down in a chair, looking right at me with dark blue eyes. I squinted my eyes and saw as the figure slowly took shape into that of a young woman.
She was voluptuous with a beautiful face, had blue hair with black streaks, had smooth-looking fair skin, and was wearing a black dress that had a cut on the side, which revealed her thick thighs.
"What?" I said, "W-Who are you?"
She tilted her head, "Name's Blue." She said with a husky, surprisingly sexy voice, "I know, amazing name. I have a brother named Red, if it makes you feel better."
"Blue…." I said as I slowly stood up, "Where am I?"
"Limbo." She said, "Like I said, You are dead. Dead. Deceased. Expired. Gone. You died."
That was very blunt of her.
If I did get a car to fall on my head, I was sure to die to the impact. The mere thought of that made me shudder; my entire body crushed by all of that weight. It is not going to be a pretty sight for anyone.
Then, a pit formed in my stomach. This eerie feeling that crept up on me could not be shaken off.
I actually died.
If this person, whoever she was, was telling the truth…..I was dead.
"I….I died…?" I said, "No….m-my sister…."
The woman lifted her palm up and a light shone from it, creating some sort of screen..
"Sebastian Nero. Age: 23. Height: 6'3 (190cm). Weight: 190 lbs(86kg). Hair color: Black. Eye color: Blue Right Eye, Jade Green Left Eye (Heterochromia)." She started listing out some sort of list, "Family: Older sister and a Father. Occupation: Musician. Notable traits: Great guitarist and Serious Drug Abuse."
I blinked, "What?"
"This you?" She asked as the screen disappeared, "Sebastian Nero."
I nodded, "Sounds about right."
"Allow me to add a crucial detail." She said, "Cause of Death: Crushed By Falling Car."
"Yea…..that's…." I started, "Not good."
"It wasn't." She said, "Funny how coincidences happen."
"What?" I asked
"Your apartment building, it was quite tall no?" She asked, "Also home to many…..rich people. You were able to afford a smaller sized apartment but you were fine with that. See, a few stories up, some prick decided to have some Italian Supercar displayed in his apartment like some asshole…so he had a crane, you know, lift it. And when it was trying to get the car into the room, something happened out of nowhere and the car fell. And who happened to be outside and directly below?"
I blinked, "Me."
"Yep." She said with a nod, "I believe that the wind must have caused the straps to snap and the car fell cause of it. Negligence on the crane operators. Quite a lawsuit if you ask me."
"I'm sorry." I said, "How do you know that? Who are you?"
"Blue." She said
"Okay, what does that mean?" I asked her, "What is this place?"
"You deaf? Its Limbo." She said, "The place between worlds and the afterlife."
"Are you…..like….a…." I gulped
"Don't worry about me." She said as she stood up, "Know that Red and I made a bet now. And I will want to win it.".
"What?" I asked
"See, we chose at random." She said as she walked around me, "Two people who died at the same time at a random place in the world. We get them and their causes of death….and we see which one was the craziest! We chose a specific time, right at the very nanosecond….and I chose you. He got some dude in a ship in the pacific who got his foot stuck on the grating and one of those big big ropes snapped and killed him."
"H-Huh?" I said
What the fuck was going on?
"We had your deaths judged and guess what? You won!" She patted my shoulder, "So you get Reincarnation! And I get to choose your Reward! And I get to watch your journey too! I am excited. My actual reward for winning the Death Contest was a massive theater screen with like….really nice speakers so I can watch the latest movies. But in this case, I can tune in on your adventures in the Magical World of…..I forgot the name…..Drahan? I don't know."
I looked at her, "What?"
"You've read those Isekai mangas right?" She asked as she stepped to the side, "I know you have. I know everything about you."
"Yes…." I said
"Well, you're getting Isekaied." She told me, "And here's the kicker: You get a System! I have started a new bet with Red. If you can't travel to the Final Destination of Drahan within two years, He will take my theater and I get stuck with his 20 inch flatscreen! So do me a favor. Win."
"What?" I said, "A System?"
"You definitely know what that is." She said, "And worry not! I have rigged you three special things in the System. Two items and one passive! Red and the others allowed it so its cool."
"Okay." My head began to hurt
"Good luck, Sebastian." She smiled, "I hope you win. Drahan is full of crazy dangerous individuals. But….with the System Red chose, I think you'll be alright."
