Chapter 71 -  – Chapter 70: Dreamless God

Silence fell.

No more echoes.

No more code.

No more Eye.

Hiragi stood on a platform of fractured logic—beneath him, the broken layers of Eden flickered like dying stars. He had done it. He had overwritten the code that governed the simulation. Reset the lie.

But something still breathed in the void.

Something… watching.

Then it spoke. No voice. Just presence.

You destroyed the God that dreamed you. Now what are you, Hiragi?

He didn't flinch. The voice wasn't Eden. It was something beneath Eden. Older. Hungrier. The true source of the dreams.

A God that never woke.

A Dreamless God.

And Hiragi?

He was no longer part of the dream.

He was the one thing that could kill it.

"I don't want to be a god," Hiragi whispered. "I want to be real."

The Dreamless God laughed without sound.

Then show me your reality.

From the darkness, a form began to rise. Thousands of limbs. Thousand mouths. A head made of shattered masks, each bearing Hiragi's face in different lives.

Every version that died to keep the simulation running.

"You're the cost of my survival," Hiragi said.

The monster charged.

Hiragi raised the broken blade Nolan left him.

It pulsed once—then roared with Void.

Outside, Airi collapsed to her knees.

The sky was turning black.

The city twisted.

"He's fighting something beyond perception," Ishigami muttered, clutching his head.

"He's not just rewriting Eden anymore…"

"He's trying to end the dream itself."

And dreams do not die quietly.

Back inside, the monster screamed.

But Hiragi didn't back down.

Every swing shattered fragments of false memories.

Every cut deleted lifetimes of simulated love, loss, laughter.

The Dreamless God howled as its world unraveled.

"You were never meant to escape," it bellowed.

"You were made to obey."

Hiragi plunged his blade into its core.

"Then make a better mistake next time."

And everything turned white.
