Cherreads

Chapter 2 - 2

But at the moment, after looking at the message board, he realized that he was the third version of himself to arrive in this world.

Therefore, the number of transaction points was not large...

The things that could be smuggled were very limited...

However, Ron did not worry for too long; it was originally an unexpected pleasant surprise, being too greedy would be a step down instead.

Anyway, he still had plenty of time.

Why be in a hurry?

As his numbers increased, transaction points would not be too scarce in the future.

At least on his side, he was not in urgent need of resources from other worlds.

Having them was better, but not having them didn't make much difference.

And... the two worlds currently, one of them was very valuable; he had already seen a large amount of Mora waving at him.

"Gourmet Prisoner... it's this world, this time I'll have a feast! I just need a chef... some ingredients I might not be able to handle... but it's okay, with such rare ingredients, am I afraid of not being able to coax a little chef girl?"

The information on the message board came from himself in the Gourmet Prisoner world and himself in a world called Arcadia World, the latter he had no impression of.

But the former, Ron still had an impression of.

As for the more unfamiliar latter... Ron was not surprised, there were too many worlds, the ones he knew were just a grain of sand in the ocean, the probability of encountering a familiar world.

Should be even smaller.

However, whether there was some special mechanism involved was something the current Ron did not understand.

There were many things he didn't not know, but rather simply couldn't comprehend.

After all, he was ultimately just a human, even if he had mastered some special abilities, this essence had not changed; forcefully trying to understand things he couldn't access.

The outcome would not be too good.

He seemed quite adept at handling this kind of situation.

"But my counterpart in the Arcadia World is actually a Dragon? I must meet him if I get the chance... Unfortunately, the other party is still in the developmental stage, with limited resources, but the future is promising; if worst comes to worst, Dragon Blood, Dragon Scales, are also very precious."

Out of a merchant's instinct, Ron began to consider what could be extracted from his other selves... Of course, they were all him, so he wouldn't go too far.

That one was still a baby, and the materials it inherently possessed didn't actually have much value.

They were more just relatively rare.

For Tivat's Rohn, it was the former, the Gourmet Prisoner world, where his counterpart as a Gourmet Hunter could provide many good things.

Humanity's pursuit of food is etched into instinct.

And ingredients from the Gourmet Prisoner world, only needed slight packaging, and a large sum of Mora would flow in; just thinking about it was pleasant!

"Unfortunately, transaction points are limited."

As a Gourmet Hunter, his counterpart had left many local specialties in this space and stated that anyone in need could take them directly, as these things were worthless there.

But even so, Ron expressed his financial embarrassment; in the Mind Space, taking anything across worlds required paying transaction points converted from the space's own power.

However, the Mind Space itself was not considered powerful, its power was very limited.

Currently, including the Teyvat world he was in, the Mind Space had anchors in three worlds; as time passed, it could absorb some of the energy scattered from these worlds, constantly strengthening itself.

Providing more power and support to his other selves.

But three worlds were too few, and growth was extremely difficult... At the current speed, natural growth, to achieve a relatively significant improvement, would take at least hundreds of thousands of years.

Only then would there be a relatively noticeable change.

With that much time, it would be better to look forward to the arrival of his other selves from other worlds, and the improvement brought about by the growth of the Mind Space's origin when the anchor is fixed.

Of course, the benefits were not limited to transaction points.

If transaction points in the Mind Space were like ordinary currency, their function being merely resource exchange.

Then enhancement points were the miraculous power possessed by the Mind Space itself.

They could significantly enhance a certain aspect of Ron without any side effects, whether it be knowledge, or a certain ability, and the enhancement was substantial.

However, correspondingly, they were also the hardest to produce...

Theoretically, each version of himself could only produce one enhancement point.

For example, Tivat's Rohn now possessed three enhancement points, which also meant that the current Mind Space had three Rohns who could log in.

Chapter 3: The Grocer

After understanding the matters of the Mind Space, Ron did not stay there for long, because due to the differences in time between worlds, and with relatively few versions of himself currently.

It was still quite difficult to meet his other selves in the Mind Space.

His counterpart in the Arcadia World was not human and required long periods of slumber; his counterpart in the Gourmet Prisoner world came relatively frequently, but also generally did not stay long.

The various gourmet foods left in the Mind Space.

Rather than wanting to gain anything, it was more simply about sharing the gourmet food with his other selves.

Leaving the Mind Space, Ron opened his eyes and saw his familiar, somewhat messy shop; the matters of the Mind Space felt more like he had just zoned out for a moment.

If it weren't for the clearly visible changes brought by the enhancement points.

He would even suspect if he had just fallen asleep.

And accidentally had a lucid dream.

Although Sumeru people don't dream, he had already come to Liyue, could the Akasha System still treat him like a human battery?

"Elemental Power..."

In Ron's hand, the radiance of Elemental Power condensed; the omnipresent Elemental Power in the Teyvat world responded to his call, constantly gathering in his hand.

Enhancement points were very versatile in self-enhancement.

They could be used to enhance talent, bloodline, or even certain knowledge or skills mastered.

Ron, born in Sumeru, was not a scholar, just a merchant.

But that didn't mean he was illiterate.

He had always paid attention to the various researches from his hometown in this world.

After all... knowledge is power!

"Incredible."

On the Teyvat, any aspect of enhancement did not bring as significant a direct improvement as the enhancement of Elemental Power; as a God's Eye holder, his body had already broken the limits of humans.

Coupled with the blessing of Elemental Power.

Every holder of a God's Eye was a high-to-mid level military force of a nation.

However, God's Eye holders themselves could only utilize Elemental Power by using the God's Eye as a conduit; once they lost their God's Eye, they were just ordinary people with slightly stronger bodies.

Of course, under normal circumstances, the God's Eye basically would not be lost.

The Vision Hunt Decree in Inazuma was a special case.

But now, Ron's situation was a bit different.

The Elemental Power he just used did not pass through the God's Eye, but rather through his own body, his own will, he mobilized the Elemental Power of the Teyvat...

Under normal circumstances, this ability would only appear in Elemental lifeforms...

Like Slime?

"If I stack it with the God's Eye..."

Ron tried it slightly; his own elemental ability could be stacked with the power of the God's Eye, both being Hydro... In this situation.

His speed of mobilizing Elemental Power and his control ability would greatly increase.

Simply put, the power was stronger, and the consumption was smaller.

Most importantly.

His body began to be able to store some Elemental Power, although not much, but normally, those who possessed this ability were either Elemental creations or Archons.

This meant that Ron's life essence had taken a crucial step towards the direction of an Archon.

Although, it was just the first step.

The changes brought about were still comprehensive; this was an improvement in the essence of life.

It involved all aspects, for example, the most basic one, his physique, had improved somewhat based on the original foundation... But after all, it was incidental, not as significant as the change in Elemental Power.

"The effect of enhancement points isn't one-sided... but interconnected?"

Ron used all his enhancement points to strengthen his Elemental Power, but in order to adapt to the greatly increased Elemental Power, his physical fitness, neural reflexes, logical calculation speed, and a series of related components were all strengthened to a certain extent, preventing any dragging down.

It was far better than he had imagined.

"Perhaps I need to go out now..."

Originally, Ron had planned to stay at the shop today... but now it seemed he still needed to go out; although under the effect of the enhancement points, he didn't feel like his control over Elemental Power was getting out of hand.

But he was not very clear about his current upper limit.

And the various changes brought about by the increase in Elemental Power.

Not everything could be judged by just a feeling.

Precise control over one's limits was also very important.

Teyvat was not a peaceful place, even if the golden-haired traveler hadn't arrived yet, overall, the Seven Nations of Teyvat were still relatively peaceful, the most serious incident was still the Black Fire incident in Mondstadt a year ago.

But these had little to do with Ron.

After all, he was not from Mondstadt.

But from Sumeru, and for various reasons, he was currently settled in Liyue...

To be honest, personally speaking.

Although Rex Lapis's actions were somewhat surprising, other than that, Liyue could be said to be the calmest among the Seven Nations; there was no increasingly sharp conflict between the Rainforest people and Desertfolk in Sumeru.

It wasn't as chaotic as Inazuma, nor was it like Mondstadt, where most of the military force had gone on expedition with the Grand Master.

Not to mention these familiar ones.

The other few nations also had their own problems and contradictions.

Looking at it all together, Liyue was the most stable.

This was also why Ron, who had left Sumeru for some reasons, finally chose to settle in Liyue.

"Liu Er, you watch the shop this afternoon, I'm going out for a bit."

Ron's grocery store was located on Chi Hu Rock in Liyue, relatively close to Wanmin Restaurant; the shop was not large, primarily dealing in acquiring various miscellaneous items of unknown value.

And selling some strange and peculiar things.

Most of which were not very reliable.

Normally, this grocery store would have closed down long ago, but for Ron, the grocery store itself was just a place to stay and a personal hobby... He didn't expect to profit from this shop.

He mainly relied on his side business, being a resource merchant, to earn Mora.

Not to say he was extremely wealthy, but he had some assets, enough to support his whims.

Plus, if worst came to worst, he could take on a few quests from the Adventurers' Guild and do commissions; with a God's Eye, he was not short of legitimate ways to make money.

However, since he had taken over a shop in a place like Liyue, where land was as precious as gold, Ron was not alone.

There were usually two shop assistants taking turns.

Helping him watch the shop.

After all, there was always a period each month when he was relatively busy and not in Liyue Harbor.

"Okay, boss."

Liu Er was a pure employee, honest and dutiful... Well, he couldn't be otherwise, after all, his boss's God's Eye was right there, and he, a normal person, couldn't afford to offend him.

Plus, there were quite a few strange things in this shop.
