In a dimly lit room where the lamp's light slightly flickered sat a man reading a new novel he bought at the store.
The sound of pages flipped could be heard in the room, quiet yet loud traveling through the empty space and then the book closed.
So the ending is simply the main character dying a pointless death huh, how dissapointing.
I put the book down on my desk and leaned on my chair thinking about the work i just completed reading.
- So that's how Boundless Knight ends.
It was a typical light novel about regressing some dumb main character trying to be a hero and use the knowledge of the future for his gain and saving others.
It was happening in a world that is split into five different kingdoms where four of them are ruled by cruel tyrants trying to control the entire world.
As a result of that each kingdom didn't want to fall prey to others and opened the five great hero academies where people with talent for magic or sword are invited to learn.
The academy at which the main character regressed is called Gold institute which is 3rd best academy of ranking from bronze, silver, gold, platinum and diamond.
The academy is in the territory of the only normal king Gregory Rudfell he is a great ruler who wanted his subjects to have good lives and be safe from harm, which turned out to be quite hard due to having the main character in it who is a catastrophe magnet.
His kingdom was called The Great Rudia and that is where the main character Micheal Dornrton is from.
He came from a fallen noble household and was ridiculed for his roots but then his talent blossomed during the graduation of the academy which was too late.
The graduation was actually where he died since the enemy kingdom Iron Singard that bordered them, suddenly attackes and started with destroying and killing all of academys students.
He then regressed due to his plot armor or something and started using his knowledge of the future blah blah blah.
Why did i even think it was better than others
I could have just asked some of my friends for a reccomendation
And there i sat thinking about my life choices and how much time i waste for some stupid things like novels.
I just wanted to fell thrilled by it or something
but i guess i cant expect more
My name is Julius Kenner and im 17, i worm a part time job at the mall andgo to college which is pretty hard for me since i don't like studying
I always liked spending my time reading books or novels to immerse myself in them,
which was pretty easy, i loved it.
I spent most of my time sitting on my chair and reading books under the old lamp i had on the desk.
My room was filled with books, over 200 or something, with a small bed in the corner and desk next to it.
*Yawn*
It was around nine pm and i needed to go to sleep early due to having some bonus lessons tomorrow.
*Creak*
My old chair swayed as i stood up and i walked up to my lamp before noticing that the light bulb was burnt out.
I guess i should change it now just so i don't forget to do it later and waste my reading time.
I looked around the house for an extra light bulb which i couldn't really find and went back to my room.
-Huamm i guess i need to buy so...
While i was talking to myself i stopped midsentence and noticed a light bulb on my desk.
That's weird, why is there a lightbulb, i don't think i pulled it out yet so what's this doing here?
I looked around not spotting anything weird and checked the lamp in case it fell out, but weirdly enough there was still one inside.
What the heck is that lightbulb doing here!?
Maybe there's someone inside my house?
I quickly ran around my house to check if there was someone hiding anywhere but found no one.
Why is it here?
I carefully picked it up and checked to see if it might have been something else thinking i didn't sleep enough.
After examining it seemed just like a normal lightbulb witn nothing special to it but upon a closer look it was the exact same one that was im my lamp, like a copy with every dust to the burn marks and even slight cracks.
What the heck is this supposed to be.
I was completely confused and scared by this situation, somehow a lightbulb that looked exactly the same as the one in my lamp appeared on my desk out of nowhere.
Everyone will be bewildered by it for sure, but i tried to shrug it off and swap it with the original one.
What am i even doing this for.
I don't know why i even put it in, since it was exact replica atleast on surface that meant it was also burnt out or just bad but contrary to my expectations the light bulb lit up.
I guess i will use it for now and buy some when i have enough money.
I was tired and wanted nothing more but go to bed yet for some reason i felt something weird in that lightbulb, it was like it didnt emit light but devoured the dark instead, it felt like it wasnt ordinary.
Wha-whats this!?!?
As i looked more at it the light begun to shine brighter and brighter and more until all i could see was white light covering my entire vision, i felt blind.
I felt sick, i felt weird, i felt surprised and more and more yet the light didn't go away, it embraced me and swallowed me whole like the dark around it.
I felt the heat of it and slowly lost my sense of hearing, sight or my body at all.
I lost myself in it.
It was warm and pleasant but suffocating and intoxicating like some drug i wasn't supposed to ever try.
It was only after 5 minutes that it went away and i could see again.
Light, it was so comfortable that i almost fell lost when it went away.
I slowly opened my eyes and saw forest around me expanding for what seemed like tens of kilometers with no one in sight.
What happened? Where am i?
Were the first thoughts i had but i couldnt have them for long as i felt something coming up my throat.

I guess it was vomit.
I stood there for a couple of minutes trying to keep up with what was happening.
Why am i in a forest? I was just in my room, did i fall asleep? Wait no if it's a dream then i wouldn't be picking my guts out. What even was that light?
Dozens of thoughts ran through my head but none could be sadly answered due tome being here alone.
I guess i should find some people and ask for directions.
I looked around alightly before spotting a hut not far from me with smoke coming out of its chimney.
Bingo!
I staggered to it still feeling sick from the weird sensation i just had and felt relief for the first time since passing my tests.
*Crunch*
I heard a weird crunching noise under my shoes but paid it no mind since i might have stepped on a branch which was normal.

When i took the next step i heard another crunching sound which seemed a little weird but i couldn't care less. I needed some help.

When i took the third step i got annoyed by the branches i stepped down and decided to look down so i don't step down on more but that made me see something that propted me to empty my stomach even more.
-Bleerghhh.. a-aughh.. f-fuck!
What i thought was simple branches were actually old human bones scattered around like trophies of the hunt.
Wha-what is this place?!?!
I was scared and lost but this was just too much for my mind, i couldn't even look at it properly before i passed out and the last thing i heard were rustling of leaves next to me.
