Chapter 5 - Chapter 5: Uchiha Mikoto, Uzumaki Kushina

Chakra is the power that connects hearts, the bond that transmits emotions and thoughts between people.

This was something the Sage of Six Paths, Hagoromo Otsutsuki, realized on his journey of atonement to repair the ninja world after sealing his mother.

For this purpose, he founded Ninshu, guiding people to use chakra to establish spiritual connections. Through chakra, he spread the philosophy of "benevolence and love" among people, creating a world without war, where everyone could live in peace.

Setting aside why Ninshu failed, the actions of the Sage of Six Paths proved one point.

Chakra can influence a person's thoughts and cognition.

After the God Tree was planted, everyone on the planet possessed chakra to a greater or lesser extent.

The Divine Art: Omnipotence works precisely by modifying everyone's consciousness through their chakra.

Therefore, even if someone saw the signature on the documents, their own chakra, influenced by the Divine Art: Omnipotence, would automatically alter their perception.

What was the Third Hokage's signature in Shingu Akira's eyes became the Fourth Hokage's signature in their eyes.

Similarly, after the obscure Shingu Akira became the Fourth Hokage overnight.

In his eyes, the streets and alleys of Konoha, the files and archives, bore no trace of him.

But in the eyes of Konoha's villagers and ninjas, such traces were everywhere.

The photograph hanging in the Ninja Academy, which was actually the Third Hokage, became the Fourth's; the Fourth's name appeared in various mission archives; his presence was now a part of famous battles familiar to the villagers...

All of this constituted the current, absurdly new world.

If someone were to suddenly become unaffected by the Divine Art: Omnipotence and live in this world, they would likely be terrified, wondering whether they were wrong or the world was.

However, such a person was virtually nonexistent.

In Boruto, under the influence of the Divine Art: Omnipotence, Boruto and Kawaki's positions were swapped. The only one who, on his own, discovered the error in his memories and corrected his perception was the scientist Amado.

As for everyone else, even after three years, they still hadn't noticed.

However, although Shingu Akira wasn't worried about being exposed, seeing the entire village devoid of his own traces day in and day out was inevitably a bit jarring.

The Divine Art: Omnipotence could not, after all, deceive his own eyes.

He decided!

His first task as the Fourth Hokage would be to overhaul the archives, to make himself, as the Fourth Hokage, a factual part of Konoha's past.

Also, the fourth face on the Hokage Rock needed to be built.

Shingu Akira turned around.

Through the window, the large faces of the First, Second, and Third Hokage were close at hand.

He smiled and winked at the three of them.

"Rest assured, you three. The Will of Fire will flourish in my hands."

When Shingu Akira said this, he deliberately did not lower his voice.

The nearby Konoha ninjas who heard him had eyes full of respect and admiration.

This was the Fourth Hokage they had chosen!

As radiant and warm as the sun.

First, Second, Third, you in heaven... huh? Almost forgot, the Third isn't dead yet.

Let's try again.

First, Second, may your spirits in heaven rest assured. Under the leadership of the Fourth Hokage, Konoha will surely be great again!

At this moment, the Konoha ninjas were unshakably firm in their hearts.

...

Soon, the sun set.

The first day as Hokage came to an end.

Shingu Akira clocked out on time.

The Konoha ninjas still working overtime respectfully saw Lord Hokage off, unaware of the "great benevolence" this man, now carrying the Hokage hat in one hand, would bring them in the future.

In the Hokage's office, there was a spare ceremonial robe and Hokage hat left by Sarutobi Hiruzen.

Shingu Akira only took the Hokage hat.

The Hokage's ceremonial robe didn't quite suit his aesthetic, and it always made him think of a certain blond.

He decided to find a tailor to make a new one.

Yes, based on the Otsutsuki style.

Shingu Akira put on the Hokage hat. After once again experiencing the enthusiastic hospitality of the villagers along the way, the sky had already darkened by the time he finally returned to his home.

Under the dim yellow streetlights, the simple cottage seemed completely at odds with the status of Hokage.

But in the eyes of others, it was a display of Lord Hokage's modesty and frugality.

Shingu Akira stood before the door, somewhat puzzled.

There was a light on inside.

He remembered turning off the lights before he left.

Faint voices could also be heard from within the door.

Shingu Akira was a loner.

"So, what did the Divine Art: Omnipotence do without my knowledge?"

Shingu Akira thought to himself.

This was Konoha; no enemy would be so direct as to break into the Hokage's home without any attempt at concealment.

Shingu Akira was curious to see who could be so bold.

He pushed the door open and entered.

The next second.

Shingu Akira froze.

Familiar living room, familiar furniture, familiar layout.

But there was a woman who did not belong here.

The woman wore homely clothes and a cooking apron, her black hair draped over her back. She was dignified and gentle, with a full and alluring figure.

Hearing the door open, she turned around, like a wife whose husband had finally returned, her joy not forgetting her manners.

Soon, the gentle woman clasped her hands over her lower abdomen and bowed slightly to Shingu Akira:

"Akira-kun, you're back. You must be tired today."

Surprise flashed in Shingu Akira's eyes, and for a moment, he didn't respond.

The woman didn't mind. She took small steps forward, knelt down to take out the men's slippers, and placed them in front of Shingu Akira.

Then, she took the Hokage hat from his hand and also straightened out the wrinkles on his clothes.

Shingu Akira found that he didn't have to do anything; the graceful woman before him had taken care of everything for him.

This feeling... was quite nice.

However, Shingu Akira was very puzzled about one thing.

Why was the wife of the Uchiha clan's patriarch, the mother of a future clan-killer and Indra's reincarnate, in his house?

Yes.

The woman before him was Uchiha Mikoto.

That wasn't even the most shocking part.

Just as Shingu Akira was about to speak.

A smell of something burning suddenly came from the kitchen, followed by another woman's voice:

"Oh dear! Mikoto, come help! Why did this dish suddenly catch fire?"

Hearing this, Uchiha Mikoto gave Shingu Akira an apologetic smile:

"Akira-kun, you rest first. Dinner will be ready soon."

After speaking, she turned and, with small, hurried steps, rushed to the kitchen.

Afterward, Shingu Akira heard clattering sounds from the kitchen, interspersed with the rapid conversation of two women.

Finally.

Accompanied by a loud defense of "I can help, that was just a small mistake," a young red-haired woman was pushed out by Uchiha Mikoto.

Uzumaki Kushina.

Shingu Akira recognized her.

By now, he already felt a sense of calm, unfazed by any storm.

On the contrary, it was Uzumaki Kushina who, noticing Shingu Akira's gaze, blushed instantly. She put her hands on her hips and said with a cute pout:

"What are you looking at!"

"This... was just an accident! Really! I prepared that dish for a long time, and I had no problems practicing it in private. But this time..."

The further Uzumaki Kushina spoke, the softer her voice became.

Her once dazzling red hair also seemed to droop, the very picture of a defeated red-haired puppy.

Watching this scene, Shingu Akira snapped out of his surprise. His expression shifted, and he comforted her:

"It's already quite good, Kushina. At least the kitchen didn't explode, right?"
