Cherreads

Chapter 2 - crulity begins from here

Konsoon started sitting on his chair. He smiles and said,

"Guess I never really think of any person getting the things to be on it. I really have to say, Kamino… this person I want to meet him up. But I gotta say, he is something. Who I want to see… if he can buy… still, let's see if we can do anything. Selfishness… to kill everyone. I wanna see. My real goal is to possess the Desire Stone. Soon… I guess it will be mine now. But still… let's see if I can get there… to kill the dirty who will be in our way. Let's see, Victor… what's even you got to tell me, as you possess my half cell of it. Tell me… what's the news?"

Victor said,

"My lord, there is a king warlord who is saying that he will break the connection with you. He said he don't need you."

Konsoon smokes and said,

"Is that so? Ehh? Kinda nice to see. I am seeing someone who is really showing the things, and he did it finally. Just my expectations from him… as always, you know. Let's really do get it in, isn't it? Just being teleported there… and

And then Konsoon said,

"Let's go on there then. How about it?"

Victor bowed.

"As you wish, my lord."

They went.

Konsoon said,

"Well, well… my warlord Barzak. I never expected you. See you like these."

Barzak answered,

"Are you even saying—"

Konsoon cut him off.

"What I am saying: the betrayal you did against me is the proof of what I am trying to say, my friend. Even though I already knew you would. I never trust anyone from my start, and I have seen and faced many betrayal as, you know, betrayal. These things never even come from your enemies; it comes from your most closest people. You care. Better you abandoned you alone. No one likes to see you—everyone wants to be above it. That's the cruelty. But what I want say is that these things will—your last thing you will hear from me. I never trust you as I believe, and here you here."

Konsoon looked at him and said,

"You are nothing. Just a mere pawn."

Barzak's servant attacked, and Victor easily cut them down.

Konsoon smiled and asked Barzak,

"Any last wish?"

Barzak screamed,

"I will kill you. Can't kill me, Konsoon—you are fool!"

Konsoon replied,

"Is that so?"

He raised his hand. Blood floated. Needle-like objects came and injured Barzak.

Barzak gasped,

"What?"

Konsoon said,

"Here is your end, you know."

Blood floated; Barzak died.

Konsoon stood over the corpse.

"Fools. Just as I expected. Never be worthy. But still… he did well to save the gem in his chest."

Konsoon tore Barzak's dead body open at the chest.

"These… are the things I like. Guess Atek at it have something work I can do."

"Funny, thing The more trust you give people, the faster they leave you. And once they taste power, they forget who raised them. You can't even trust your own people — that's the cruelty of it. He died because he never understood that. In the end, he was nothing… just dust. No one escapes cruelty. No one."

Konsoon did not even bother to stand. He pointed with a slow, deliberate finger. "Victor—find where the fourth key is hidden. Bring me who knows when and where. When it happens, I will take the first Stone. I want to rule. That is all. I don't care who lives or dies. If anyone stands before me, I will not hesitate — even if that someone is my most precious servant."

Victor's jaw tightened, but he kept his head bowed. "You may kill me, my lord, if you do not trust me. But spare me, and I will follow you forever. I don't care for myself. I care for your desire." He half-bent, an offering of blooded loyalty.

Fuko and Renji fell to their knees as well, voices low. "We will never betray you, my lord," they swore.

Konsoon smiled, a small, pleased curl. "Good. It pleases me to see you all kneel." For a moment the world narrowed to the three of them — master and servants.

The scene blinked away; they were back in Konsoon's chair-lit chamber. He watched rain streak the windows. "Victor," he asked idly, "why is it raining?"

Victor glanced at the window. "Because nature is cruel," he replied.

Konsoon laughed softly. "Exactly. Rain shows sorrow, but humans ignore it. We harm living things every day, and yet we pretend it doesn't matter. That is why I love cruelty. Watching people die — that is the entertainment. That is the truth."
