The eight-year-old Sonny, his weary body falling to the ground, lifted his head and looked at the cold man, whose expression was unreadable, his silver hair falling across his shoulders, beautiful in the moonlight. 

“...My name is Sonny.”

The cold man lifted him into his arms and flew into the sky, taking him away from all he knew, his life forever changed.

I narrowed my eyes at her, "Why? What are your intentions?"


A sad gaze filled her eyes, "My father had a trial a few days ago, and he was killed by them."


Her voice turned harder and sharper like a knife, "My father is innocent; they judged him guilty for falling in love with a demon."


My heart skipped a beat. I think I know what man she was talking about. 


I looked at her more closely, and her face does exactly look like that man from the prison. Their eyes, their nose, their mouths. His only one daughter, but how does he have a daughter? Didn't that woman die under that righteous cultivator's hands, or did she give birth before ending up dead?
