Chapter 4 - The whisper in the shadows

The girl's mind is filled with many questions about what's happening with her, what the problem is, whether the accident was real or a lie, what's going on - all these thoughts are running through her mind. She was having breakfast with her boyfriend when he tells her to pay attention, buddy, you're still thinking about that stuff. Don't stress about it, it's just an illusion buddy, nothing else. The girl agrees with him, but she's thinking that she'll go there tonight. A mix of fear and curiosity is building up inside her as she thinks about going to that empty building alone at night, where the masked girl wants her to go. She wonders what she might find there, and whether it'll give her the answers she's looking for.

It's night. The girl decides to go to the empty building despite her boyfriend's warnings that it's just an illusion. She sneaks out of her house quietly, not telling anyone where she's going. As she approaches the building, the streetlights flicker, casting eerie shadows. She hesitates for a moment at the entrance, but the masked girl's words echo in her mind: "You'll get answers to your questions only if you go there alone." Taking a deep breath, she steps inside the dark building.

Inside the dark building, the girl's footsteps echo off the walls. The air is thick with dust, and she can hear the creaking of old wooden beams. She starts calling out softly for the masked girl, but there's no response. Suddenly, she hears a faint whisper - it sounds like the masked girl's voice, saying "Look behind the door."

The girl turns towards a nearby door, her heart racing. She slowly approaches it, pushes it open slightly, and looks into the room beyond. What she sees makes her breath catch... She sees an empty room. The walls are bare, and there's nothing in the room except for a single piece of paper on the floor in the center of the room. The paper looks old and worn, like it's been there for a long time. On the paper, in messy handwriting, is a message: "The truth is in the shadows."

The girl's curiosity spikes. What does the message mean? What truth is it talking about? And what shadows is it referring to? She looks around the empty room again, feeling like she's missing something obvious.
