Time was slipping away, a ticking clock in her chest.
She pushed herself up on trembling arms, legs shaking beneath her.
Her body protested... muscles burning, thighs weak from being used so thoroughly... but the hunger gnawed deeper, a desperate need to hold onto him, to carve him into her before reality shattered everything.
Her breath hitched, a soft whimper escaping as she moved, the raw ache between her thighs a pulsing reminder of his claim, the sticky warmth still dripping down her skin.
Alex watched, eyes narrowing with dark curiosity.
"Lila…" His voice held a warning, low and dangerous.
She reached for his hand, fingers wrapping around his wrist, her touch trembling but determined.
"Lie down," she said, voice hoarse but steady, a spark of defiance in her glassy eyes.
His eyebrow arched, a flicker of amusement crossing his face. "What do you think you're doing?"
