Chapter 2 - 2: The Chaos Bringer System

Orphaned. Owns a car. Owns a house.

There was no doubt about it—Wayne Lawrence was a transmigrator.

And as any proper transmigrator should, he naturally had his own cheat system.

It had activated all the way back in third grade.

The Chaos Bringer System.

As long as he broke rules and stirred up chaos, he'd earn Chaos Points, which he could then spend on a lottery draw.

If the chaos caused was big enough, he could even get a critical reward.

Thanks to this system, the once model student slowly veered off course, becoming the very name that struck fear in Westminster Primary School—a true chaos bringer.

He might not be called outstanding in conduct or academics anymore, but reviled by teachers and dogs alike definitely fit.

If it weren't for his consistently top grades—and his incredibly powerful family background—he'd have been expelled several times over.

Over the years, Wayne had received quite a few rewards.

For example, after blowing up the restroom in fourth grade, he received a one-time Physical Optimization.

Wayne had already been cute to begin with.

After the enhancement, his looks reached a whole new level—practically otherworldly.

That adorably angelic appearance became one of his greatest assets in avoiding punishment.

Then there was the time, right before graduation, when he gave that infamous speech about hammers and sickles— it earned him the Memory Palace Technique, granting him perfect recall.

Just two days ago, Wayne had spent all of his Chaos Points on lottery draws, scoring:

Several hundred thousand pounds in cash

A trove of advanced academic knowledge

And a gold-tier epic reward:

15% equity (non-dilutable) in a certain major software company.

But who would've thought…

This was the Harry Potter world.

The moment he received his Hogwarts acceptance letter earlier this morning—delivered by a chubby-faced Scottish owl—the system dinged again with a new notification:

[Detected change in host profession. System upgrading...]

[Chaos Bringer System Version 2.0 is now at your service! May you bring fresh chaos to this boring world.]

Wayne sighed deeply.

Had he known Hogwarts was real and he'd be accepted, there's no way he would've spent all those points so recklessly!

Still, thinking back over his eleven years in this world, Wayne began to piece things together—

times when accidental magic might've leaked out.

Once, on a trip to America, he'd stared at the Statue of Liberty and thought the torch looked hideous…

The very next day, the statue's arm had broken off—landing it on the front page of international news.

At the time, everyone said it was due to age and poor maintenance.

But now? He had a sneaking suspicion that might've been his magic acting up.

After a short wait, the system finally responded.

[Spent points are non-refundable. However, as compensation, the host will receive a Job Change Starter Pack and a System Upgrade Bonus.]

Reading that glowing message on the light screen made Wayne feel a bit better.

At least he was getting two newbie packs out of this.

"Open them."

After a dramatic ritual—incense burning, ritual bath, and bowing three times— Wayne casually opened the loot boxes.

[Job Change Starter Pack opened. Congratulations! You've received a Character Template Card and unlocked the Personal Attribute Panel.]

[System Upgrade Bonus opened. Congratulations! You've received one Pokémon Egg (localized variant) and a full incubation setup.]

Wayne's eyes widened slightly.

Oh damn.

This system upgrade was seriously overpowered—

it even gave him a Pokémon egg.

That's basically a whole other universe crossover, right?

With a thought, a hatching device—about the size of a suitcase—along with the Pokémon egg, materialized on the table, accompanied by an instruction manual.

The process was simple:

place the egg inside, plug in the incubator, and in ten days, it would automatically hatch.

But the system had added a special note:

If the user dripped a drop of blood onto the eggshell, the Pokémon would hatch with maximum affection toward its owner.

After setting up the incubator, Wayne turned his attention to the other reward.

[Template Card (Gold): Randomly grants the full talent and special abilities of a wizard ranked S-class (or higher).]

"S-class? System, what's the grading scale?" Wayne asked curiously.

A series of lines quickly appeared on the glowing screen:

[D-class Talent: Barely able to pass OWLs]

[C-class Talent: Can reliably pass NEWTs]

[B-class Talent: Moderately gifted in magic; has some magical potential]

[A-class Talent: Talented and brilliant; considered a genius by ordinary standards]

[S-class Talent: Extraordinary and beyond logic; worthy of being remembered in magical history]

[SS-class Talent: Once-in-a-century prodigy; a dazzling figure throughout wizarding history; capable of altering historical events]

[SSS-class Talent: Legendary]

After reading through it all, Wayne fell silent for a moment.

He didn't immediately open the Template Card, but instead gave a command:

"Open my personal panel."

He wanted to see how he ranked before adding anything new.

[Host: Wayne Lawrence]

Magical Power:

Spellcasting:

Defense Against the Dark Arts:

Dark Arts:

Transfiguration:

Potions:

Alchemy:

Special Talent:Memory Palace (Photographic memory, enhanced cognitive capacity)

Overall Assessment: A-

You possess an exceptionally strong affinity for Dark Magic. You could become an outstanding Dark wizard. Young man—embrace the darkness!

Wayne stared at the panel, his eye twitching uncontrollably.

An overall rating of A-—

At first glance, it seemed like a decent genius-level score.

But the rating felt a bit off.

It was clearly being carried hard by his exceptional magical power and Dark Arts talent.

As for Potions and Alchemy, those were likely ranked A only thanks to his photographic memory.

The problem was—you can't just go around casting Dark Magic.

Otherwise, Old Dumbledore would be the first to come over for a heartfelt intervention.

"Open it," Wayne snapped irritably.

"Hurry up and open the Template Card!"

He'd been top of his class for six years straight, had won international math olympiads, and mastered all kinds of advanced skills.

He was a superpowered primary schooler—well, technically a middle schooler now.

How could he only be ranked A-?

Don't ask.

It's clearly the system nerfing him.

With a burst of golden light, the card shattered.

Wayne didn't even catch a glimpse of what it looked like.

The template instantly turned into a stream of glowing energy and shot straight into his forehead.

The system's delayed prompt finally arrived:

[Congratulations, Host. You have acquired an SS-Rank Template: The Invincible Archmage of Ancient Greece — Andros!]

His head spun slightly,

and then… a strange and indescribable sensation surged through his entire body.

Magic power!

He could truly feel it now.

It couldn't be seen.

It couldn't be touched.

But as Wayne raised his hand—

the teacup on the table floated up.

No incantation.

No wand.

He had simply wished for it to float—

and it did.

In just a few seconds, Wayne could clearly feel the difference in his magical aptitude.

The change was astronomical!

Still… he had no memory of any "Andros" figure in the wizarding world.

Wayne was briefly stunned.

Who the heck is this guy? So strong?

Instinctively, he pulled open his stat panel again—

and his pupils began to dilate.
