Chapter 37 - Chapter 37 Kamakasu Toma

But when the God suddenly realized that the sense of crisis within Him had not disappeared, He looked up in astonished realization.

Only then did He discover that Qianshu Lian, who had been pierced by His longsword, not only showed no remorse but instead had a triumphant smile on His face.

"I..."

Qianshu Lian had no idea what the God opposite Him wanted to say, because a moment later, a huge white light engulfed all of Qianshu Lian's consciousness.

Kamakasu Toma, a member of the True History Compilation Committee, who had sensed the internal commotion earlier and began evacuating people when He realized something was wrong, stood in the distance and gave a thumbs up.

"Thanks to the priestesses who foresaw that something might go wrong, we were able to evacuate the area around this school in advance, otherwise, the losses would have been significant."

Kamakasu Toma let out a long sigh of relief. It was truly fortunate that they could evacuate in advance. They could then use the excuse that the government had discovered a potential gas leak, perhaps natural gas or some other gas, as the reason for the early evacuation.

Even if they hadn't discovered it, they could still use this reason if something happened, but wouldn't discovering it in advance and evacuating directly with this reason be more reassuring to the public?

"Speaking of which, I didn't expect that cult to actually succeed in summoning. I wonder which God of disobedience was summoned?"

Kamakasu Toma watched as a violent white light rose before His eyes, instantly engulfing the entire school and beginning to spread to the surrounding areas.

He had no idea which God was responsible, as basically any God capable of combat could create similar disturbances, and the scope was simply too vast.

With such purely destructive attacks, it was simply too difficult to identify the corresponding God. Thinking this, Kamakasu Toma looked at the priestess beside Him.

That's right, it was His old friend, Mariya Yuri.

There was no other way; in this area of Tokyo, Mariya Yuri's talent was the best, and she was also the closest.

There was no need to go out of their way to invite those more powerful priestesses, as by the time they arrived, everything here would already be over.

"God of great achievements, the light of trial surrounds His side—"

Images began to appear before Mariya Yuri's eyes: a tall, fierce lion, a huge and deadly nine-headed venomous snake, a beautiful and swift hind, a huge and terrifying wild boar, and fierce and terrifying monstrous birds.

All of these clearly revealed the identity of the God who had descended into the world.

Heracles, the famous strongman God in Greek mythology, a representative hero who became a God after His death, having been a demigod during His lifetime.

His renown even far surpassed that of His grandfather, Perseus. Perhaps it was because even within Greek mythology, which boasts numerous heroic myths, Heracles's myth was the most legendary?

"A Steel Hero God?" Kamakasu Toma mumbled softly, stroking His chin.

"Not so. Although He is indeed a Hero God, He is not a Steel Hero God." Unexpectedly, this murmur was denied by Mariya Yuri.

What she saw in her vision informed Mariya Yuri that while Heracles was a Hero God, He was not akin to steel.

He had indeed killed the dragon-snake, the Hydra, but apart from that, most of His trials involved capture or subjugation. He was not born to simply defeat the Earth Mother Goddess and dragon-snakes like a true Steel Hero God.

Although He had killed dragon-snakes, He was not a Steel Hero God born to conquer the Earth Mother Goddess and dragon-snakes, because killing dragon-snakes was not a primary part of His mythological narrative.

Therefore, Heracles's divine attributes were closer to those of a pure Hero God, a God of strength, and so on, without the inherent ability to kill dragon-snakes or the Earth Mother Goddess.

"How truly peculiar. It's rare for a Hero God to not also be a steel god." Even Kamakasu Toma couldn't help but marvel at its wondrous nature.

Before this, His understanding of Heracles was superficial. After all, He was born from Greek mythology and had myths of conquering various monsters.

So, it was only natural to assume that He, like Perseus and other Hero Gods, would become a true Steel Hero God who vanquished dragons.

However, He never expected such an anomaly among these Hero Gods. Perhaps this was one of the reasons why Heracles was able to stand out in later eras.

"Speaking of which, what's the progress on handling the evacuated civilians?" After providing the answer, Mariya Yuri then inquired with concern about the evacuated residents.

For this type of disaster-like evacuation, both the government and the True History Compilation Committee, as the behind-the-scenes organization, had to take action.

"Please rest assured on that front. Any society in any country is quite experienced with similar evacuation events!"

Kamakasu Toma replied without any pressure. Such matters were quite familiar to any legitimate society.

Normally, if people were evacuated due to some super natural disaster, it usually meant either a super powerful force was fighting, or some God of disobedience had suddenly descended.

Japan is such a disaster-prone place. I'm not sure about other worlds, but in this world, a large part of it is due to those strong individuals who suddenly take action and the sudden descent of divine beasts or Gods of disobedience.

The appearance of Gods of disobedience is the least frequent, but divine beasts are not uncommon, perhaps because the faith in this country is indeed quite diverse.

After all, any cat or dog could potentially be revered as a God. Other worlds might be different, but in this world, even the smallest divine rank can cause various disasters.

What's more, even if they can't become Gods, becoming divine beasts is quite possible. Faith might not make one a God, but if there's continuous faith for hundreds of years, that's different.

No matter how thin, hundreds of years of continuous worship, such a quantitative change is enough to form a qualitative change.

Therefore, the True History Compilation Committee is now committed to eradicating all kinds of miscellaneous faiths. In short, all those wild Gods must be eliminated.

However, the actual progress is not very good, after all, wild Gods are also Gods! Even if they haven't become Gods and are just divine beasts, they can still make these organizations expend a lot of effort to deal with them.

Moreover, this isn't about clearing just one or two, but all of them. The various troubles need not be mentioned for now; just in terms of manpower and resources, it can only be done slowly.
