[=============================]

*Ya~awn* "Guh… Why is my chest so heavy, and my arm feels numb." I groaned, as I prepared to sit up, and felt something heavy pressing on both my chest and arm.

my head is still fuzzy, but nonetheless, I groggily opened my eyes to check on whatever the heck is causing all this and…

"What!?—" My eyes widened seeing a pair of Light Pink and Sky Blue heads, one at my torso, and the other at my right bicep respectively.

I instinctively wanted to get away but then the fog on my brain finally cleared up.

"Ah… right." I muttered before I let my head lay back down on my pillow.

Yesterday, one of the 4 star cards I got from the Altar was a character card, and it was one of the featured characters.

Rem and Ram.

I thought it would be their older selves, the one where they had become a maid in Roswaal's manor for years already, but—

It turns out every character card I obtain will come from random timelines. They can be infants, or seniors for all I know.

"mmm…"

"Ngh.."

"Sorry, Did I wake you two up, Rem, Ram?" I asked the two gently, as they stirred from slumber, making adorable sleepy sounds.

"Hisa-nii?"Rem murmured before closing back her eyes and embracing me even deeper.

'Guh!'.

'She's just so goddarn adorable..!!' I clutched my heart while screaming inwardly before turning my head towards the Pink Haired Ram, who's now sitting on my stomach, equally looking quite adorable, as she yawned while cleaning her eyes.

And as for why the two of them are sleeping with me in the same room in the first place…

~Flash Back~

"SISSY!!" The panicked voice of Rem echoed inside the temple, as she hurriedly hugged the confused Ram who was frozen, standing.

"Rem? Are you fine!?" Waking up from her stupor, Ram quickly checked whether her sister got any injuries, full of worry for her.

"I'm fine, Sissy! But— You almost…" Rem voiced in tears, as she remembered what happened not long ago.

Her sister was on the brink of death due to the cultists blade, because she was being a dead weight that needed her sister's protection.

seeing her sister's guilt ridden face, Ram reached her hand and caressed Ram's head. "I'm fine, Rem… You don't need to blame yourself." Ram voiced gently, before hugging her still crying younger twin sister, and gently caressed her back to make her feel better.

"Sigh… In the end, I broke my vow that quickly." Hisaki bitterly muttered, and

although, he voiced that quite softly, even just whispering it.

Due to them being the only three in the Temple making noise, his voice was still heard by the twins.

"Who—?!" Ram hurriedly shielded Rem with her body, and looked at the boy in front of them, ready to use [Fura] on him if he ever made even a single suspicious motion.

"Woah! I'm friendly! I'm friendly!" The boy, Hisaki, voiced in a panic, seeing Ram being hostile.

"Who are you?! Are you one of them!?" Ram asked with suspicion, glaring at Hisaki as she did so.

"If you mean those Cultists that almost killed you two… Then No." Hisaki answered honestly before waving at Rem who was peeking behind her sister's back with a sunny smile.

Rem in turn, stopped peeking and just hid behind her sister's back, while biting her lips in frustration.

She was just too weak.

Noticing this, Ram's brows furrowed even more and questioned. "How do we know that you aren't just lying, and making us lower our vigilance before you attack us?"

Ram's voice was full of suspicion on the boy in front of them, which was understandable, considering that not long ago, she was just fighting people claiming to be witch cultists who had massacred everyone from their clan.

Even their parents.

"You can ask your sister. She was the one who agreed to take my help."

Hearing my words, Ram looked back at her sister, who visibly perked up as she got out behind Ram's back and asked.

"It's you?"

"Mm… Sorry, I was unable to save the rest of your clan, or rather… I can't save anyone but the two of you." Hisaki sighed.

He understood just how traumatic seeing the corpse of their clan and family. Mutilated by blades and burnt by flames caused by the cultists.

Even for him, seeing his mother slowly die due to a magical ailment had been quite an ordeal.

Much less the girl's bloodier experience.

Seeing his sympathetic yet melancholic expression, Ram unconsciously let down her guard, as she now took her time observing the boy in front of them.

A boy who seems to be the same age as her and her sister, with pale greenish blonde, and green eyes.

He was taller than them by a few inches, at 4'6" and wore what seems to be a black shirt and green shorts.

As for his face, or rather, his eyes— They didn't show signs similar to that of the cultists.

What's more, Ram also didn't feel any bloodlust that all cultists possessed.

In short, the boy in front of them looked and felt like a normal boy like their previous neighborhood kids.

"I'm sure, the two of you are pretty stressed right now considering what the two of you just went through. Being wary and suspicious of a stranger like me is also acceptable—

I'm not really good at comforting people, but— The two of you are safe now.." Hisaki gently voiced while looking at them with unadulterated gentleness, bereft of any hidden thoughts.

Rem and Ram were stunned hearing his voice, and seeing his comforting look. And It seems that the realization that they were now safe from the people that hurt–not just them, but even their parents, friends, and neighbors.

This realization made them tear up, before it turned into full blown sobbing, and crying. Realizing they won't be able to meet their friends and family anymore.

Rem and Ram hugged each other, confiding with one another, as they poured their sorrowful tears. Inwardly saying goodbye to their loved ones.

"Uwaaaaaaahhh!!"

*Sob*

Hisaki didn't say anything else. He just let the two sisters grieve and promised himself to take care of the two girls in front of him.

…..

30 minutes passed by in a blink of an eye. The twins, now with swollen red eyes, finally stopped crying… or rather, they couldn't release tears anymore, and we're now passed out while leaning with one another.

Seeing the clearly exhausted girls, Hisaki sighed softly, before he walked towards the two and gently caressed their heads.

Then, using his thoughts, he willed for the three of them to exit the Temple.

The three arrived back at Hisaki's room. And without wasting any time, Hisaki put the twins in the bed, where they continued sleeping, hand to hand, as their expressions eased.

The twins didn't wake up until the clock hit 11:34am. Rem woke up first, and the first thing her sleepy eyes saw was the boy who saved her and her sister, meditating.

Around him were 6 sparkling balls of mana, each of different colors, rotating around his body like they were protecting him.

The balls— or rather, Quasi-Spirits were colored Red, Green, Blue, Yellow, Black, and White.

They correspond to Fire,Wind,Water,Earth, Yin, and Yang. The six fundamental elements of mana found in the world of Re:Zero.

Rem's eyes glittered, as she sat there, staring at her, and her sister's savior, without saying anything in fear of disturbing him.

"Hmm… It seems that I really can't cultivate them further than this." Hisaki muttered with furrowed brows, before opening his eyes, which met with a certain blue haired girl's admiration filled gaze.

"Hey there, Rem-chan." Hisaki greeted Rem with a friendly smile and wave, before standing up from his position and stretching.

"Okay guys, please proceed to complete what I asked you to do." Hisaki muttered, and with that, the six Quasi-Spirits all flew in separate directions, as they went on to follow what their creator commanded them to do.

Yes, Hisaki was their creator… Because, Hisaki obtained Spirit Affinity from the 3★ Ability/Skill card.

Unfortunately, Spirits from Re Zero do not exist in this world, but due to his luck, or something else.

The 4★ Item Card he obtained was a [Spirit Bead], which was a soul bound item that allowed Hisaki to create any spirit.

Yes… Any spirit. But, the more complex the spirit Hisaki wanted to create, the harder it is to get born, because insight and mastery of the element was needed to create any spirit.

Thankfully, despite actually being illiterate to any supernatural techniques like magic.

The Spirits of the six fundamental elements of Re:Zero were, in fact, pretty easy to create.

All Takumi needed to do was think of his insight to the elements while simultaneously imbuing the spirit with the required emotion, to successfully create them!

And it didn't even need any deeper insights and feelings. All Hisaki needed to do was think of the warmness and scorching heat of flames, and the feeling of passion to create the Fire Spirit; The Feel of the wind passing through his body and air while also feeling the yearn for freedom to create the wind spirit; The suffocating and cold feeling of water, along with the feelings of Calmness and Serenity for the Water Spirit; The toughness of Earth imbued with the feelings of Courage and Bravery for the Earth Spirit; The Silence and emptiness of Darkness imbued with the feeling of loneliness and fear for the Yin Spirit; and lastly, the guiding brilliance of light, imbued with the feelings of hope, kindness, and sincerity for the Yang Spirit.

It took him precisely 3 hours to create and nurture the spirit till they reach quasi level, which was very much easy, since the spirits were made using his emotions as one of the ingredients of their creation.

Meaning, the spirits skipped the part where they needed to accumulate a sense of self and knowledge, all they had to do was accumulate power, which was quite easy with the help of the [Spirit Bead] which had become their anchor, so Hisaki just needed to allow the spirits to absorb the mana gathered by the [Spirit Bead] passively through their connection.

It's like giving a straw to 6 people to share a drink.

Unfortunately, Hisaki was very weak right now, so the mana that the Spirits can absorb from the [Spirit Bead] was only enough to get the six of them to the Quasi-Spirits stage.

If Hisaki only allowed one of them to absorb power from the bead, then they might have become a fully-pledged Spirit right then and there.

Well, as long as they had also gathered sufficient knowledge.

That's precisely why Hisaki chose to nurture six at the same time, instead of one, because even if raising only one would allow them to accomplish the necessary mana accumulation, without sufficient knowledge, a Quasi-Spirits won't be able to take the final step to become a proper Spirit, which is condensation.

Aka— Condensing the mana that they had accumulated until they can create their desired forms.

So, Hisaki's commands of them monitoring the place in a certain radius around him was both as a safety measure, and a way so they can obtain knowledge by interacting with everything as they worked.

Hisaki looked at Rem, before walking towards her and patting her head.

"Mhm… This is pretty nice, patting you feels like patting a younger sibling." Hisaki grinned before he cranked up the speed of his hand, as he caressed Rem's head at a fast pace, while gently caressing her face at the same time. And even scratching her chin like a cat.

Hisaki didn't know why he's doing this but… He greatly enjoyed the feeling of Rem's hair and her soft cheeks.

"Hisa— Hisa-nii…" Rem made various sounds as Hisaki did his thing, at first from discomfort, until it turned into bliss. In the end, Rem couldn't help but subconsciously mutter something that made Hisaki freeze.

"Ah–!? My bad, Rem…" Realizing that what he was doing was a bit rude considering they just met, Hisaki sincerely apologized, tinged with regret for various reasons.

"But, what did you call me again, Rem?" Hisaki asked with raised brow, as Rem finally woke up from her previous state.

"Ah-, Umm… Is it not fine to call you, Hisa-nii?" Asked Rem with a hesitant yet hopeful face.

Looking at her adorable expression, It was as if a cupid fired not just an arrow using a bow, but a full blown .50BMG fired using a Barret 50 caliber, that shot and pierced his heart.

'Guh— What is this adorable creature doing, giving me mini heart attacks like this—?!' Hisaki exclaimed inside his head while clenching his chest subconsciously.

"Ahem… Why exactly would you like to call me 'Hisa-nii' Rem-chan?" Hisaki asked with a shaking voice, still trying to recover from the previous shot.

"... Because, you looked like you were really lonely just now— Is Rem not allowed to call you, Hisa-nii?" Rem replied with a sincere but still hesitant voice, as she looked at Hisaki teary eyes.

-FATALITY!-

'GKK!' Hisaki felt like he heard the iconic voice of mortal combat just now, as he felt like he was bombarded with .50BMG bullets fired from a battalion of Barrett 50 Caliber holding Sniper Cupids.

Hisaki shuddered, as he looked at Rem in fear. 'She's too dangerous for my heart!'

Hisaki took a deep and heavy breath to relax himself before he smiled at Rem and answered. "Of course not Rem-chan!

You're free to call me anything you want, but in exchange, can I call you just 'Rem'?"

Rem was visibly happier hearing Hisaki's answer, so she happily nodded.

"Yes! Hisa-nii can call Rem, just 'Rem' from today onwards!"

Seeing her blissful smile, Hisaki realized—

He just obtained a massive weakness, in the form of the adorable girl in front of him.

Ram woke up feeling refreshed like never before, and as she opened her eyes, she instinctively searched for her twin sister.

But she failed… Rem was gone from her side.

Ram panicked, and instinctively called out her sister's name while mentally scolding herself for her recklessness of falling asleep with a stranger near her.

She feared the worst, but thankfully, she heard Rem's voice not long after.

Hearing her sister's voice, Ram didn't waste any time and got out from the very soft bed she was laid upon, and ran towards the door that leads out of the very cozy room.

After going down the stairs made of wood, Ram found Rem and the Boy in the living Room.

"Uhh… Sup?" Hisaki gave Ram a simple greeting before he continued his current task.

Which was— drying Rem's hair!!
