Teni woke up to nausea, mood swings, and a boardroom presentation. None of them were invited.
"You're... glowing," Dami said cautiously as she vomited for the third time in the morning.
"That's not glow. That's rage in liquid form."
He followed her to the company's monthly investor briefing, where she tried to hide her queasiness while standing beside Dami in a designer suit.
Midway through his speech, her stomach growled so loud, it echoed through the room.
"Continue," she said, waving him off. "Your child is just reminding you I haven't eaten."
Everyone laughed. She glared at the board. "Do I look like a joke to you?"
"Only when you're hungry," Dami whispered.
