Chapter 3 - The Bus Rides and New Friendships

Life at school was one thing, but life on the school bus was a whole other story. At first, Aadya didn't talk much on the bus. He just sat quietly, looking out the window or listening to music. He wasn't shy exactly—but new places and new people take time.

That started to change in 2021, when Aadya was in Class 4. One day on the bus, an older boy named Devaj Sri Sai started talking to him. Devaj lived in the same apartment complex—Divyasree Republic—so they already kind of knew each other. That small connection was enough to start a real conversation.

Devaj was in Class 6 back then, two years ahead of Aadya. But grade didn't matter much. He was friendly, talkative, and easy to laugh with. Slowly, Aadya started opening up. Day by day, word by word, the quiet bus rides became more fun. The two of them would talk about school, food, games, and sometimes even random stuff like "what if school buses could fly?"

As months passed, their friendship grew stronger. Aadya began to enjoy the bus rides more than he expected. It became his favorite part of the school day—half nap, half gossip session.

Later on, more people joined the fun. Two more classmates, Divyam Dey and Amuktha Keely, entered the picture. They were friendly and funny in their own ways, and they all clicked pretty quickly. Aadya now had his own little group on the bus—each one different, but all close in their own way.

The bus, which once felt long and boring, had now turned into a moving clubhouse. There were jokes, silly arguments, lunchbox trades, and the occasional "let's pretend we're asleep so the teacher won't ask us anything" routine.

These friendships helped Aadya come out of his shell even more. He laughed louder, talked more freely, and even cracked jokes that made others giggle all the way home.

It wasn't just about going to school anymore—it was about the little moments in between. And on that bus, between stops and speed bumps, Aadya found something really special: friends who made the ride worth it.
